Man props to Wes, he gets mentioned a lot but never had the same respect really as Steve even though he was ALWAYS right next to Steve on all of the biggest and dangerous catches. I mean look at him just dive in to help out steve while the Croc deathrolled around. Plus the guy got bitten by a 12footer in the back of the thigh and kept going. Mad props to Wes
I reckon that crowd think they're just messing with the Croc to get him to spin n such for their entertainment as oppose to help the Croc. I dunno they're bugging me.
it's more stressful and even more dangerous to use tranqs with crocs, and steve didn't like using them at all because of possible effects and the stress factor. How would you feel if you could see everything going on, with strange creatures surrounding, poking and prodding you, and with you unable to even lift a finger? Being powerless in a situation is about ten times more stressful than being able to fight back.
He didn't like drugging animals and using tranqs. This is probably the hardest pick up I've seen in any of Steve's documentaries and i think a large part of it was the small enclosure with the high walls.
He particularly didn't like using tranqs on reptiles because they're exothermic and thus have a much slower metabolism. It's fairly easy to design a tranq that'll work on mammals without hurting them, the same cannot be said for reptiles.
Literally the animal couldn’t calm down enough because they were laughing and screaming those people need to be taught that this animal I an important part of the ecosystem and deserves respect but on the other hand the people need help themselves so it’s very important and get educated and spread love and hope and help
I’m Australia zoo the crowds are so far away when they watch that the crocs barely are affected by the noise So I know Steve trying to save this crocodile and the way the crowd was acting, I know it was frustrating him so much
The crowd is annoying for us as viewers, but the team are probably used to large crowds cheering as he works with crocs, as they do it on a daily basis back at Australia zoo.
Fun fact: the only reason Steve was able to hold down the crocodile as long as he did was because his massive balls of steel were holding the crocodile down.
Man, Wes and Steve were the best friends you could ever want. Wes was in there in a heartbeat, and Steve jumped right on Graham when Wes needed him to.
steve and wes could do anything i reckon he jumped in there with a wilm pisses off croc with it's jaws free and when it rolled on steve wes held him up and jumped right in there too thats bros for ya
i will never understand why that crock felt like death rolling would help him when Steve was pulling him out, i guess its there only real way of defending themselves but for being around for millions and millions of years, you'd think they would know when death rolling will work and when it wont. i always watch crocs death roiling when rolling will literally do nothing to help itself lol
Why are people so mad at the crowd. This is probably the most fun these people have had in a long time, it's only ever the poorest and least powerful who get left behind in wars like this. Don't be so quick to judge.
Were those people mistreating the croc or were the occupying forces mistreating the croc? My impression was that the locals *like* crocodiles but don't know how to take care of them.
Am i the only one that hates the crowds?si cringing whistle and scream. These guys are fighting their lives to save a croc, and they give annoyance that makes the animal nervous and distracting the rescue team?Give me a break...
Bloody massive well done to all the people out there who help out animals and how want to properly educate people about how to live with and around them. A very big Bravo to Steve, his family, the rest of the peeps and to the camara crew.
The people screaming are not used to being in an environment with these guy living their lives in the open world and the people are also hurting the animal and mocking them so when it comes time that people come to help and get him out of these conditions and give him a better life but the animal is over stressed and thinks it’s going to be killed with the people screaming and cheering the animal can’t relax to be rescued it wasn’t a show it was a rescue and I really just wish that those people were educated to stand back and not scream when they were trying to keep the animal calm but it’s a full circle kind of situation that can’t be fixed over night it takes people coming together and understanding
Steve and the team plans to move the croc on a new place (enclosure) because the small cage where it's held up is not healthy for the crocodile, so yeah there. As for the onlookers, they think it's a circus 🤦🏼♀️
Now what we're gonna do is, we'll lure him out, and let him loose on these stupid screaming people and let him feast on em for a bit. Get nice and healthy. Then take him back to our zoo and look after him properly.
