Cropping a Knit Sweater | How to Upcycle a $2 Sweater | DIY Thrift Flip 

As a beginning sewist, this was so motivating to watch. I liked how you documented your thinking as you were altering the garment. I'm cropping a sweater now, too, except that I botched my hem. 🥺 You've given me the push to give it one more go.

Thank you! I just shortened a cable knit cotton sweater using your method. It is thinner material to work with than wool. The finished band at the bottom had finished slits on each side so rather than cutting and shortening the length of the band, I overlapped the front band part at each side over the back part of the band and it gave it trendy look. Love it! Would never have considered or known how to do this before looking ar your demonstration.

This is sooo cute and also really helpful!! I'm glad a sewing machine could seal the edges so well, was worried I needed to crochet or knit the edges together. PHEW!
