He would have just done Bus Stop with the Hollies a year before Ruby Tuesday came out. And Stephen and David would’ve been in Buffalo Springfield with Neil Young Cool
Man i was 7 when i first heard that song, now im freakin 59 and theyre still singin it “ She just cant be chained To a life where nothing’s gained and nothings lost.
It would be quicker to list who has not covered that song. One of my favorites is by Melanie. I think she caught the spirit of the lyrics by the pathos in her voice.
Saw them same year at Doheny Beach Blues Festival and they did an all electric show. They did this song and Behind Blue Eyes too. Wished they would have covered Season of the Witch with Stephen using his Wah pedal like he did for that song on the Super Sessions album with Al Kooper and Harvey Brooks. Best song performance at Doheny was spot on rendition of Deja Vu. Great show that afternoon/evening. They followed Robert Cray on the main stage to end the weekend. Stephen was snapping celluloid photos of Cray side stage because Robert was in the zone that afternoon.
Yeah I liked Neil Young with them too but CS&N had THE BEST sweetest harmonies without Young especially like in the song Southern Cross. Love that song so much!!!
It'now or never Is a beauty Song! 'o sole mio Is famous song in all world. Elvis loved so much It and did a great version. Don't be so much stupid and arrogant and think only u.s .and u.k. have good music!

Comme quoi tous les "papy du rock" tiennent encore la route. Les jeunes devraient en prendre de la graine. 50 ans de carrière et toujours un plaisir à écouter.
Check out the cover of "Ruby Tuesday" by Melanie (Safka). Her version is totally powerful!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E0Po3CXdE3w.html
Rick Rubin tried to take total control of what they could put on the album and Crosby basically said we will say what we want to put out track wise, that's IF it was around this time.
@@steviestone1668 lol They finally hit it on the last two choruses. Cut them a little slack. Stills does great for a deaf guy. Ruby Tuesday is a Brian Jones song that received high praise for the Recorder playing. But the lyrics are sweet, and the music itself reflects Ruby's changing ways -- the harmony and melody of the chorus is different each time sung -- "When you change with every new day . . ."
You guys are idiots, do you see your dad or your grandpa playing and singing as good as these legends! Their was a time where everybody went to these guys for any kind of musical advice..advice in general! The best of the best, just missing neil and the rest of their band
I saw them in Boston in 1992. Their voices still blended and sounded very good. Over the years, they have lost their edge. Crosby made an ass out of himself...........................
His documentary "remember my name" is very good. He's far more introspective than I expected. Nash is also narcissistic. Stills by most accounts has been the adult in the group.
some people, famous or not , don't take care of their voice the way they should... Stephen is one of them. David's voice is perfect, to this day. No need to say that he had to practice seriously after liver transplant... Graham is consistent and has probably stopped any drug abuse for years, now
Well the audience enjoyed it ..perfect or not..sometimes in the pursuit of perfection ? music looses its soul ...is what is happening in music today ...soul less auto tuned music ...or tell me is it as exciting as other other musical times ....tell us surf stomp how many mainstream hit records are being produced by just a few ..who have clinically learnt a formula of how to pro duce hit records ...well if you want to be part of perfection and autotuned
did you know that these versions were meant to be part of an covers album, with their own versions, of course;.. The CD was never completed, and the producer gave up
Brian helped with melody also should have got credit for Paint it Black and the riff for the last time and Wyman Jones and watts credit for Jumping Jack Flash
when together like that, Crosby is always lazy to play guitar along with them, despite the fact that he is an incredible acoustic guitarist....I saw him perform solo a few years back where he had to play guitar by himself for every single song and he did just fine.
After young's political BS, I can now understand now why Crosby stills & Nash dropped him and his Crap.... A southern man don't need him anyhow, great cover :)
For a FAR superior cover, check out The Corrs with Ronnie Wood. Not that it's difficult, but their version BLOWS THIS AWAY.... and I'm a big CSN&Y fan...
And here you have it folks: the most overrated band in history! But, to be fair, this version of this song comes in a solid third of versions of the song that I have heard. Yes, you guessed it, I’ve heard three. You know who the best is, and the Corrs are not far behind.
