In this video, Crosley sent me two mini-fridges to test. Despite being the same manufacturer, they are quite different in looks and performance. What makes each of them work and how are they different?

I agree they're good refrigerators they just don't make them like they used to what the storage compartments being more efficient and in the door that can have like drop down soda or beer things enough room to put four bottles of wine in the front door there's a lot of things they don't do to these things anymore I look at them all the time as you do that's why I love this channel more than any other channel. I do do a lot of woodwork so I do watch a lot of people chainsaws and axes and stuff but that's the end of my life I can't do that anymore thank you so much for me leaving multiple comments because I love your channel. I think it's the best channel on RU-vid when it comes to how to fix things and what to buy I mean it should be on regular TV.

I like the door storage on the Retro more as you can fit more varied things. Should have made it adjustable though, it's just a plastic mold with protrusions, shouldn't really cost the manufacturer much more.

Kind of surprised all they have is mint green. Its GORGEOUS in real life, but I imagine a red or deep blue would be great!

We have a pro metal, undercounter fridge. It's easily cleanable and repairable. It also seems to keep the food colder. I only wish it had a light.

I've had a Danby & a Avauti that I have absolutely made them work horses. They're complete monsters they just keep working the smaller one which is the Danby what's on my back porch under an overhanging by the hot tub and just sat there and worked forever it's not on my basement and I just plugged it in the other day to make sure everything was okay and it's a beast and left it open and dried it out. The other one is bigger and it's got a pretty big refrigerator and upper freezer it's amazing how much food you can get in it it's like my downstairs party refrigerator but in the emergency room remodeling my kitchen it's going to be our main refrigerator for the next week while I remodel the floor I mean we're talking these little refrigerators or monsters in my opinion

The Patriot refrigerator is more like the one I have in my basement except it has a freezer above all that and maybe a little bit taller I'm thinking for sure in the freezer you can pack it deep I love the the small refrigerator which I've never heard of I just bought it cuz it was on sale but it's a beast I don't care to know where it was made I don't even want know.

Nice report. After destroying my old shorty because I punched a hole in the cooling as it froze up. I bought a just frig unit online and it not as accommodating as the old one. We use it for drinks and the ones you are reporting on won’t accommodate soda frig packs unless they go in sideways. Frig packs are designed to flow cans to the end. I ask is why can’t they add more depth to them as counters are 24” deep and the shelves in the unit you say are 11”. No one wants to unload and stack many cans bending over verses just sliding in the frig pack.

Looks like the mint green retro fridge is already discontinued, but Galanz makes one that looks just like it. Is Galanz and Crosley the same company?

The mint green I admittedly call my friend who makes stickers for guitars and whatnot and I would immediately put stickers all over it to cover that mint color if that was the cheapest one on sale lol. I'll take the Patriot refrigerator over the mint green refrigerator all day whether I had to fix it every day

Hi Ben, I need to replace a motor control board on my 15 yr/old washing machine, I’ve seen some “New” and some “remanufactured” Control boards. Knowing things like capacitors degrade over time Is it preferable to get something NOS (new old stock) or remanufactured?

I have an actual retro Crosley fridge, a shelvador, apparently they had a patent on shelves in the door, good to see they kept the shelves I'm the door😂. Wife wants me to sell it because ewe have little kidos.

Ben my best washing machine experience has been a top load direct drive washing machine from this same crosley brand do they still make good washing machines?

Crosley still makes great washing machines, but they're a lot like Kenmore - beholden to the mfg. companies on the models. Their Direct Drive styles from many years back were just AMAZING and ultra reliable. But WP does not make them any more from what I've seen. Maybe I should ask Crosley if they can bring them back...

Im not sure. Which models with WP's are having the high fail rates? I was thinking they were the FBDM "Turtle" compressors, but not sure the brand.

I actually had all of these to stock a pop machine with, so I just borrowed them for the video. I used to drink 2-3 cans a day but totally stopped years ago.

@@bensappliancesandjunk Good. Not healthy for us. I used to weigh 325 lbs about 25 years ago. Doctor kept telling me to lose my friend. Never paid him much mind. I am now 76 years old, 254 lbs, and diabetic. Save yourself while you still can.

@@ronalddevine9587 right. When I stopped, I'll have one from time to time, but its so sweet I get sick after 1 can anymore, so its very, very rare. I'll drink flavored water or just water, but that's about it.
