Thanks for commenting The important thing I've learned about scopes for airguns regardless of maker or price is that an A/O(adjustable objective) is needed for the best accuracy.All my scopes are made by Centerpoint with A/O and are from $60 to $100.You gota love Wal-mart. Cheers

Very handy info, thanks man. I bought me a 2250B today. Funny, first shot and I thought man this is quiet, sweet, but all shots after were surprisingly loud. The trigger operated peircer was unknown to me. I'll have to grab me some silicone lube asap.....I want it to function well as long as possible. Thanks again 👍✌

Why would anyone feel the need to kill birds? I have had an air rifle of one kind or another for the past 50 odd years and never had the need to kill anything, and that is living in a rural area all my life. I have heard that americans kill sparrows and starling every year in their thousands, and that is why those birds in europe are now in decline, and they are one of the most harmless parts of our wildlife. Birds are not pests, they are part of the ecosystem just the same as we are.
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 2 года назад
Thanks for commenting. Soooo, lets Clear up a few Things. The English Sparrow and European Starling are not native to the Americas, and were brought here by man in the mid to late 1800s with good intentions. Unfortunately, they have become a plague in the Americas, Killing native birds, raiding nests (killing their offspring) and driving them out. They Do Not migrate Across the ocean (therefore killing them in the U.S. does not affect European populations of these species). This is a Man made issue and it is up Man to fix it, By Eradicating Invasive species. Hope this Helps. Cheers.

I have a question I have a 2400kt why won't the steel breach off that gun fit onto a p1377 it seems that the breach screw is in a different position or further up
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA

I'm new to the 2240, actually still waiting for it to arrive along with a 20mm picatinny rail, GUNNR 2x30 Red Dot Sight, silencer from Airgun Capital, and Custom Grips Right Hand Textured Ergo Target Grip PLA+ from EBay. I found the following recommendation in Amazon reviews and would like your opinion of it: "FREE UPGRADES: I put the safety OFF (unsafe), took handgrips off and pulled out the trigger spring. I cut ONE coil off of it and put it back in. So much lighter trigger pull! No more pull, pull, sideways wobbley pull then bang. A light pull and it fires. Then I took the top and bottom screws (and rear sight off). This makes the rear end cap of the co2 tube off. I cut 3.5 coils off the hammer spring. It doubled the amount of shots per co2 cartridge, makes the gun quieter and stops the wasteful cloud of co2 from appearing every shot."
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA Год назад
Thanks for commenting. Cutting the trigger spring down will ease up the pull a bit. Smoothing the contact points in the trigger system will do more. Check out some of my other videos for more details. Instead of cutting the hammer spring down I would buy one that's softer and one that's harder and swap them out to test the results. Softer equals more shots, less speed. Harder equals less shots, more speed. Hope this helps....
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA Год назад
I Neglected to mention that a heaver hammer spring make the trigger harder to pull. But the lighter spring is an easier trigger pull. Cheers...

Great video. Thank you. One question please..... how long (in your opinion) should you leave a charged co2 powerlet in the 2240? Cheers from Bonnie Scotland.
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 3 года назад
Thanks for commenting. Under climate controlled conditions with temps 65-85 F Degrees, Indefinitely I say but more than likely it will leak Co2 over time. Worst case scenario, moisture might start a rust issue and lock the powerlet in the tube. I have never had this happen, but have read stories. Cheers

Thanks! It appears, from your video, that the 2240 seal no longer works. How to replace it?
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 2 года назад
Thanks for commenting. The part Number is as follows, 2240/50/60 Powerlet seal: #g397-012. To replace the seal takes a complete Disassembly of the gun. It is a pretty straight forward processes. The only tricky bit is the Breech Screw, its easy to stripout the Head. Good luck. If I can help, let me know. Cheers....

Would you use pellgun oil on a co2 and pumper? Or only silicone oil
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 2 года назад
Thanks for commenting. I'm OK with it... I cut and pasted this from the Web. "Pellgun oil is a non-detergent oil that is petroleum based with added o-ring and seal conditioners in its formula. It comes from the trusted name of Crosman which should give you some sense of the quality of the solution. Crosman Pellgun oil is for use with CO2 and pneumatic pump guns to help prevent rust and drying of seals. It is not for use with break barrel guns" Cheers.

Thanks for commenting My understanding is that sense CLP was intended for cleaning fouling in firearms as well as a protectant against rust that it will degrade the rubber and plastic parts inside airguns.I do however use CLP to wipe down the outside of my airguns.The oil I use to lube inside is from the paintball industry.

One fellow has trimmed 1/4" off the hammer spring because he claims the 2240 uses to much co2. Is there a problem with this idea?
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 8 лет назад
+Larry Eyster Thanks for commenting. It depends on what your definition of problem is for one, and there are countless other factors as well. Is the barrel stock, is the valve stock and so on. Lets say that the gun is fresh out of the box getting 425ish fps and 30ish shots per co2 cart. If you cut the spring the fps goes down but shot count goes up. If you add a longer than stock barrel (lets say going from the 7.5 to 14.6) you will gain 70ish fps. So if the spring is cut and a longer barrel is added, you can maintain stock fps but get another 15-20ish shots per cart. Me personally I do think the 2240 wastes co2 but that's me. I hope this helped Cheers

All lubing the co2 cartridge does is keep the seal, which is simply a rubber o ring, from drying out. The pointed tip of the valve stem touches it too, but it doesn't really require lubrication. That seal doesn't necessarily need lubricant as long as you don't allow it to get really cold and eject unused co2 carts too early.
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 9 лет назад
Prepared Survivalist Thanks for commenting. It's my understanding that co2 in a pure environment is not a corrosive gas. However in the presence of moisture/water it can create carbonic acid which is corrosive to the parts in the valve . when the cart is changed a small amount of air enters the valve. air contains moisture. So the small amount of lube that makes it in the valve helps protect it from corrosion. Cheers

Thanks for commenting, Howdy from Texas Your question is not as simple as it sounds, it's all up to you to know what will work for you. Thanks for commenting. Leaving the powerlet in days, weeks, even a month or two is fine. Leaving it in for longer is not. The seal on the co2 valve is an item that does degrade over time. Lubing helps it last longer, just not forever. Hope this helps

Great video. I have a 2240 that I just love shooting. I have made several modifications to mine. I changed the trigger spring and polished the sear and the hammer. I replaced the plastic breech with a steel breech.I also i stalled a 14.5”barrel. I made a custom tube plug that has an adjuster screw for the hammer spring and it also allowed installation of a six position tactical stock. I installed a scope and also made a homemade silencing barrel shroud for it. I posted some videos on my RU-vid channel showing how to make the silencing barrel shroud for $10. I also made a night vision scope adapter and a scope cam adapter for this gun. Videos for these are also on my channel.

Great video, like the guy below I'm planning on getting a custom 2400kt soon also. I have two questions.. first, does any lubrication work for putting on the end of a c02 Carthage before putting in gun.. things like gun oil? Second and more importantly, does the steel breech have to have a 3/8 mount for scopes and such.. or is it larger? I want to put my own scope on it and save money but if the steel breech is a 3/8 I'd probably save money getting their 2x scope with mounts for it.. thanks for answering it is much appreciated!

Thanks for commenting and your welcome. It is best to use lubes that are intended for airguns. Normal gun oils have additives that are great for firearms but, can degrade the rubber seals and plastic parts in airguns. The rings for the groove in the steel breach have many names 3/8, 11mm, dovetail, as well as 22 rings. They are available in 1" and 30mm scope tube sizes so finding the right ones for your scope can be done. Happy shooting. let me know. Cheers

I uploaded on my RU-vid Channel: Eagle View HD some videos on making a silencing barrel shroud for the 2240/2400 pellet guns for less than $10. most of what you said went over my head you should of explained what the different sizes of what you were showing where for ie the 22/40 n the 22/50 etc and what difference those sizes make to the actual crossman air rifle etc

Thanks for commenting The 2240 has a short main tube, 2250 has medium tube, and 2260 has the longest tube. Other than barrel length that is the biggest difference between these airguns. Hope this helps. Cheers

When I put my gas cylinder in and I shoot all the gas comes out at once, it comes out of the nozzle and the pull back part where u bit a pellet in. Is that a faulty gun? Or my fault? I tried tightening the cap as hard as I can and letting it a little lose, but nothing works.

Thanks for commenting I am going to make some assumptions, like the type of gun is a Crosman 22XX. That the gun has a heavy hammer spring or perhaps a rear velocity adjuster that makes the hammer strike the valve harder to increase FPS. I believe this is causing the valve to stick open when fire. reducing preload or using a lighter spring should fix the issue. If the gun stock, I am at loss. The gun my need service. Hope this helps. If I can help further let me know. Cheers

I had someone ask the same question, and I thought of another possibility. Check to see if the valve face seal is missing or damaged. Sorry it didn't occur to me earlier... Cheers

How long can i keep co2 in the gun after pierced
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 6 лет назад
Thanks for commenting There are a lot of variables (climate controlled environment with good seals in the gun) maybe a few weeks between put away, and used again. indefinitely is not possible. I put a fresh powerlet after months of storage. Co2 is temp sensitive, it and can reach pressures that will overcome the seals in the gun if left in temps above 100°f for a prolonged time. Hope this helps. Cheers.....

AIRGUNSNIRVANA so can i leave it in for about 6 hours at night when it is about 60 degreeses
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 6 лет назад
No worries at all about doing that . With Co2 being temp sensitive, the 60 degree will effect velocity. There will be a drop of 200ish psi between 80ish down to 60 degrees. I can't say the exact drop in fps but it will be noticeable. Hope this helps...

I dry fired my 2400kt twice without CO2 to test the trigger? Is that bad ?
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 6 лет назад
Thanks for commenting. Dry fire as much as you like. Getting to pull the trigger without Co2 or pellet or doing damage, is one of the benefits of these type airguns.
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 6 лет назад
Thanks for commenting Dry firing means that no co2 or pellet is in the gun. This allows you to cock the gun, and improve your trigger control without wasting fuel or ammo. This is not advisable to do with some other types of airguns, as major damage can result. hope this helped. Cheers

Why do you use synthetic, pure silicone lube, as opposed to for example CLP?

Hello, I've got a question - can I switch the barrel from crossman 1322 to crosman 2240, does it fit? Thx for answer.
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA
@AIRGUNSNIRVANA 2 года назад
Thanks for commenting. Yes it will Fit. The only issue is one of looks. The 1322 barrel is stepped down at the muzzle, which is covered by the barrel band of the 1322. Hope this helps.
