I've modified my legacy into a PCP, regulated to 1900 bottle fed, (OE 13cu in gauntlet. 25 bottle) I removed the pump mechanism and have a HPA hose tapped directly into the valve, bunch of other mods. I'm getting about 21 ft lbs from my legacy 1000 now. No more pumping. I'm toying with the idea of keeping the pump but still tapping the valve to a bottle, a multi pump/PCP hybrid of sorts.
That would be awesome if you could have a multi pump with PCP HPA conversion. Can you imagine pumping 3 to 5 times and still shooting at the high 6s i low 7s or maybe more according to your regulator pressure and then you get tons of shots
Travis, you are one of the best at reviewing airguns. Your reviews are very informative, straight to the point, easy to understand, and have great camera work.
I think it would be a great shooter for a little kid, considering it looks pretty cool with that gold receiver and even has fiber optic sights. Plus, it's cheap to shoot. And accurate too!
Great video and information about that model, I'm glad you featured the legacy 1000 and it's capabilities. I still like the older 2100's better though. I bought mine back in '12 and so far no issues at all. I made a wooden stock and pump arm for it back in '17 which makes it much more realistic looking, and feeling. Anyway, it's very accurate with decent power,
That was great shooting, Travis. I think a friend of mine bought a 1000 some time ago, and I am going to try to remember to ask what he thinks of it. Excellent informative video, I hope you can get your hands on a Daisy 901 and give us a review.
Awesome! I’m not a gun person, haven’t shot in decades. I needed an air gun for rodent control at my moms house. Gophers, rats and moles have taken over a hillside and run down storage shed on her property in the Santa Monica mountains. I was driving by the local outdoor retail franchise (Turners) stopped in and walked out with this model. love this thing! It’s amazingly accurate out of the box.
Well I went out and bought one today. Not the anniversary model. Impressed with accuracy and power. I bought it because of its power, I could get much more expensive and fancier guns, but the bang for buck is real. Even nitro, gas, whatever most were 800 max fps. I like the Seneca MK2 barrell excepts silencer, but 15 pumps to get similar fps and 3x price. I’ve had 2 pumpmaster 760 and they were not as accurate and smaller. I’m going to get a better scope, but I’m impressed with accuracy of it and sights... I can’t wait to put some rounds through it. I’m liking Crosman and may try some other models .177 cal.
A metal receiver is important when mounting a scope. If you have ever removed a scope from a plastic 11mm dovetail, you know what I mean. They can get chewed up or deformed. The 2100 is a better choice if you are going to mount a scope. It is nice to have one scoped and another with open sights but that's not always an option since everything is so expensive now.
@WalnutandSteel LOL. My 362 pumper was a somewhat accurate 20y disappointment. I even upgraded to steel breech and scope and still not accurate. It must be the barrel or I haven't found the magic pellet from my 40 tin supply?. Just wait till you see the cheap pistol sights on the back of a rifle. Then compare it to your Chief at a few dollars more. LOL
@@gmanneod8085 I have no problem with the pistol sights on the rifle. But again, I can't help I'm talented 🤣 Another thing I didn't mention is that the barrel is different then the regular 362, it's an upgraded version, hence the better accuracy. I think that price change at the last minute really set you off brother 🤣. If they didn't do that, then Walmart can't boast about them having it for 130! 🤣 You watch, that's what's going to happen, I bet you 🍻
I think it would look way better if the brown stock was continuing on the front 🤔 _The black kinda looks odd to me but it might be me haha_ *The return of the G1 extreme!* Didn't know it was detuned this bad tho do you remember what kind of seal you used?
Back in the 80s I took more rats and pigeons and other pests than I can count with that old crosman air rifle as well as with a 1377 pistol too. Great airguns. Enjoyed the review
I'm also using the Crossman Domed Ultra Magnum pellets. 1" group at 40! My trigger is the same😢 I just put a Centerpoint 6-20×50 on it after upgrading the 597. I'll be shooting at 50 yards next and moving on to 100 sometime this week!❤❤❤
I actually did a lot more shooting with this one and it was more accurate with some jsbs at 7 pumps. Don’t know why. But the holdover gets kind of ridiculous after 25 yards.
@@franbrinda ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z7eymlmInvc.htmlsi=hUkbwhqhAfcLOEPm This is probably an accurate depiction of what to expect at 50. I would have to suggest that hunting/pesting would be best at about 25 yards and under.
