i have four just like it. its my favorite crosman model. i find that wad cutters work best, other pellets get hung up a little. i've read that it was designed for wad cutters.
Good video. Your reflexes are still cat like, as demonstrated when that wind gust hit. I might try to find a 400, interesting little rifle. I too use the one CO2 cartridge approach on my 160’s, especially if I’m going to be shooting fewer pellets. These things can be addictive. Great fun!!! Keep the videos coming.
Super nice example of a first model 400. A friend found one in a 2nd hand store that had been modified to cock the hammer when pulling the bolt back. Crosman produced some nice airguns.

Are you referring to the shooting rest? If so I bought it from Cabelas many years ago. It was marketed as a pistol sighting rest. I don’t see it available on their website anymore.
I use only one when I want less shots with my Qb78 {I store all of them empty} Ive seen people say to use the first on as a full one and some the second one...does it really matters? (I guess the closer the gas is to the valve the better?) Very interesting pellet magazine ! Amazing reflex Sir 😁 Enjoyed it

Corey: I have been making these magazines and can provide you with dimensions. 4.1 OAL, diameter of the body is .330 and you need to have a reduced diameter of .321 dia for about .500. I use screw machine stock .375 diameter to start. You will need longer drills and if you start with a smaller drill and then step up to a drill size with .228 then use a reamer to get to the .234 dia bore. The spring needs to be 4.00 inches long x .225 dia. max. with both ends closed. Happy chip making & good luck!! ++ ccv
