Crosman Shockwave | First Impressions 

The .22 should be pretty good. I was contemplating getting one myself. They just didn't have one in stock so I grabbed this. Cheers for the sub to! Really appreciate it!

The accuracy on this thing really surprised me. Especially at this price. I'm curious how the scope goes when i get a new one. Then i can really test it out. What sort of .22 ammo are you using?

So far mine has been accurate and reliable as well.

I haven't shot the Ben .177 But looking at the on paper specs I would say that it is the better rifle. It's got 500FPS more but it is 2 and a bit lbs heavier. The scope that comes with the Ben is better as well. It is double the price though so that's a fairly big trade off for 500FPS and an slightly better scope. You'd have to see them side by side to see the difference in build quality. My Crosman is still going strong after a lot of shooting.

@@tristan3357 Very similar to the Crosman in almost every way. But a fair bit cheaper. I have used a fair few Remington Centrefire rifles but never an Air Rifle so if their quality is the same it should be pretty good gun for the price. It would be a tough call on the Rem and the Crosman. I like the look of the crosman better though but that's pretty much the only argument i have.

Apart from the scope issues. The actual rifle has been going really well for me. But a few other people have shared similar issues with theirs. Primarily the .22. I suspect the .177 has far fewer issues.

It's solid and heavy it would take a beating. The only cheap feeling parts are the iron sights but most people will be using a scope anyway. Though iron sights is more fun. I'll do a paper test next time I take it out. Going to be cold!

Home defence in an air rifle I wouldn't really say it's possible unless you got at least a .22 with a super high powered C02 can. You'd want one that's semi-automatic as well. But stepping up to that level most countries with firearm laws require special licences. You'd probably be better off with a pistol crossbow or something. Even one of the new repeating style ones.

Crosman co2 rifle. Leave it loaded n ready to go at a notice but the seals won't last like that jus so u Kno but it will deter someone n it's under a hundred bucks. That's my go to or the 9

I need to do more testing but I've found the GAMO MAGNUM ones to be quite good but honestly anything with a pointy tip over flat or domed shape is best. I found an old bag of pellets in my GFs basement that are quite good as well but they are completely unnamed... Just solid lead ones and quite old. If you want to do more damage the flat ones are the way to go but they will ricochet on bottles and stuff at certain distances.

The ones in this video seem to be quite good. Which surprised me considering they are on the flatter side (barely a dome). I got the scope back now so I will try some group shooting on paper as soon as i can get a good bit of weather.

Perfect I'd be following. Crosman recommended the crosman premier domed pellets for them. Maybe worth a try if you can get your hands on them. I'm going to get this air rifle soon, so I'm trying generate a rough idea of what to expect.

Will try to do one soon. I have a few pellet suggestions to try. Just a matter of finding them, buying them, and getting the time to go do some shooting!

So far it has been ok but you're right. Any suggestions on what barska would suit it best? the 4x32 on here is ok but something a tad more powerful would be better.

@@ProcrastinatingWoodsman im cheap so i just use the 3-9×32 scope from walmart. There $30 and hold up good but i know they make a mill dot scope that i would be interested in trying.

@@dustinh4175 3-9 sounds quite good for an air rifle. I have a 4-12 on my .22 and it's perfect. I'll check these out sometime down the track. Thanks for the suggestion.
