We try to answer the question: why are you crossing that enormous country by bike?
One of the reasons we are doing this tour now is because Shannon's brother died of cancer almost 2 years ago. It inspired us to get out and do the things we had been talking about doing.

I biked from Vancouver to Banff in 2021, but it was fully supported, sleeping in hotels. Your adventure is more raw and ultimately more rewarding.

Did you cycle north of Lake Superior or south throughthe USA? We are are still debating.

Hey friends!! We went south of Superior. As a group of 4 - we honoured each person’s limitations and preferences and one of us was quite nervous to do the North Shore on #17 as it has few shoulders and fast trucks (one person that year was hit). So we went through the states - not that we wanted to but it provided more options and was lovely too. Some did the north shore with no problems - we weren’t going to risk it and all went well.
