Great flight. Thanks for your video. Why did you need to add a quart of oil. Did the Lycoming 360 burn a quart of oil on a 300 mile trip? And is that normal?

Nice video. Not to be a nudge, but the name of the caverns / town is pronounced “lah Ray”, not lory. Just saying. Digging the Grumman. I’ve been flying an AA5 Traveler while out here in Oregon! Fair Skies and Following Winds!

Lol, I totally butchered the name every time I said it. Was laughing at the clips when editing this video, at some point I even called it canyons instead of caverns 🤦‍♂️. My subjective opinion is Grummans are great, all airplanes are trade offs. I like how Grumman balanced the trade offs in regards to cost,speed,fuel consumption,useful load, control responsivness, etc.

Did you use just 10 degrees flaps on the first stop? If so, why?

I'm pretty sure went two thirds on the flaps, but the wind direction kept changing so kept the speed higher than usual and it just felt better without the full flaps in
