Not sure about "motivation" but completely impressed with humans who are willing to put themselves through this kind of ordeal that regularly results in this kind of carnage all in the name of being the best they can be.
Because when you cross that line you can pass out with a grin on your face and have your team mates lift you up like a hero. But true the finish line carnage is real
