Today I went skiing at Great Glen Trails, which lies at the base of Mount Washington in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. In this video I try to include a lot of footage of the trails to show what it's like out there on q quiet, winter day.

I see you have 65' skis. They seem to fit well in a groom track. How well do they perform on a ungroomed track and breaking trail?

I most often break trail with them in my own back field. The first time (breaking in the tracks) it is like walking to cut through the deep snow. The second loop in the homemade tracks is nicer. If I go out to a rough trail pounded down by snowmobiles (but not pro groomed) they work very, very well. I LOVE having a metal edge to work with since I used to downhill ski. The only down side is they are a little bit heavier than some other types of skis.

@@RachelWhelton You just helped me decide which all around XC skis to get for on and off trail. Thank you. What are your favorite style of bindings for ungroomed, making your own tracks and rough trails ?
