When you're at trial, the credibility of your case can hinge on the testimony of certain witnesses. Advocates, in the course of cross-examination, often encounter difficult and obstructive witnesses.
➡️ But what do you do when those witnesses refuse to answer your questions or provide useful information?
Here are some tips for cross examining difficult witnesses.
➡️ Making personal attacks or becoming combative will only make witnesses more resistant to answering your questions truthfully.
This video provides tips on how to effectively control and cross examine various types of difficult witnesses. The relevant techniques are demonstrated by the animated characters.
📚 Important Information: Please note, any resemblance to any person is entirely coincidental. The characters are not based on any individual person.

Is it common for Brits to give statements with downward inflections at the end and then call them questions?

its a way of asking questions in cross examination so that the witness can mostly answer to give the barrister the things he or she needs. In a cross examination, questions are leading questions.

The voice of the speaker belongs to a white actor, yet the figure is black. Hmm, does this imply that blacks’ intonation is less appealing?

i dont believe that you are of the disposition to assume that his voice was not that of a black man. even so, his point is not to undermine the voice of any black man, but to show the objective of his testimony. why would you assume that his intentions are so dark as to make this claim?
