Cross slide DRO ??? 

You can do without a DRO on the lathe for the most part, but the mill needs a DRO. Ebay and amazon have them although I'm not a fan of buying Chinese. I know you got your hands full with personal stuff so just a recommendation on where to get them. I have a 2 axis on my mill but I do plan on getting a 3 axis for it. As for something for the quill, I think that just depends on the person. Some people want them, some people don't. I don't have any plans on adding anything for the quill feed on mine. 👍👍👍👍👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣

just to show how stubborn and old I am. I removed a complete working Mitutoyo DRO from a 1941 Axelson lathe and gave it to a younger guy!

hi Kimber your dro is just were coolant, swarf and chips are at there worst, it may be a problem just a thought O&O atb Kev
