I would use the dark blue for the bookmark, but then I am not really a yellow fan 🤷🏻♀️ I liked seeing all the bookmarks you showed, I have a bunch of bookmarks, even some stitched ones, but only ever use the same 🙈 Happy Stitching 🧵💜

So you just back the cross stitch fabric with felt to finish the bookmark and that doesn't make it too thick? Good to know! I've been wanting to make myself a bookmark for a while now. The tile design you've stitched is lovely. I don't particularly like mustard yellow so I think the brighter yellow looks fabulous for the back, as does the blue. Good luck deciding!
Hi there! So Rhona and I bought felt separately - and mine (from Amazon) is a lot thinner than hers. (Hers is a lot older so we're not sure where it's from... but probably from Michael's). So hers are a little bit thicker than mine, but we still don't think they look too thick! I would definitely recommend the felt finish for a bookmark. We should be doing a tutorial on our website (or maybe here on RU-vid) sometime soon - perhaps I'll show us finishing this bookmark. I prefer the dark yellow or blue. Definitely not black. Generally my book mark sticks out from the top of my book. However, when a book or journal has ribbons stitched into the binding the ribbons sticks out at the bottom. So, bookmarks can work either way. 😉 🪡🪡🪡
