Hey! Erica here! Welcome to my cross stitch diary, a video diary where I discuss my daily cross stitch projects, progress, and finishes. This year I am participating in the Facebook group Wip Warriors. I am stitching along on the Great Aussie Road Trip with the group, so I will be referring to different stitching goals while moving forward on the road trip. I try to remember to discuss all of the details, but sometimes I forget. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments. I would love to chat with you there.
I co-host this channel with my daughter-in-law, Daphne. We love to spend our free time crafting - knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, yarn dyeing, and other crafty things! You are welcome here. We appreciate you spending time with us.
Our home is a multi-generational household with both families together under one roof. Life is busy, but there is always time to create something beautiful and useful!
WHO WE ARE
Erica is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have four children. Their three sons are 27, 20, and 15, and their daughter is seven.
Daphne is married to Erica's oldest son, and they have a four-year-old son, a three-year-old daughter, a two-year-old son, and an infant son.

Wow, over 4000 stitches. You inspire me and I love to see how the cross stitch comes to life each time you show your progress. Wish my eyes were better and my house was quieter so that I could get back into cross stitching!

Thank you so much! Cross stitch does require more concentration, less distractions, and better lighting than knitting or crochet, for sure. I am discovering that there are so many fantastic small designs with clear, easy to read charts on Etsy these days. I am going to start shifting towards those types of projects. I still have quite a few big designs in my stash, but as I work through those I will replace them with fun small to medium projects.

Hi Vanessa! I have been collecting the supplies, but I haven't made the time to finish anything yet. Hopefully I can spend some time finishing one or two pieces soon. I love Blue Dreams. It is so pretty. I think I would love it on the wall in my bedroom . I enjoyed watching your recent knitting and stitching updates. 😊

Wow, that was a lot of stitching. I know you have a busy household and home schooling, not sure how you fit everything in. You are extremely organized. Do you fix all the dinners for the whole extended family, or do you share that with Daphne?

We cook separate meals all day everyday, except for family holiday meals. Daphne and Holden have their own pantry and do their own grocery shopping. A couple of them are picky eaters (I won't name names 🤣). I shop and plan meals for my husband and our younger three kids, although our 20 year old son eats with us less and less these days. He works nights and grocery shops for his lunch items. Our household has a total of three refrigerators and one large deep freezer. The kitchen is almost always in use, and we do dishes multiple times a day, hand washing the pots and pans and running the dishwasher one to two times a day for dishes, glasses, and silverware. We make it work. 😊
