Watched this last night in bed with my tablet and did'nt know how to reply on it !!! So am back at laptop this morning and just had to say something !! I love watching what people back for a few days away and how they pack their cross stitch. For three days you did pretty well and it was fun watching you.
Quick tip...put your foundation and any bottles in a plastic bag. How many pairs of shoes do you usually take?? Thank you so much for sharing!!! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY!!
Karen Davis-Macon good tip about the foundation! And as soon as I uploaded I was like crap! I forgot to mention shoes. I am a very casual dresser. I bring one pair of shoes, my tennis shoes, the ones I wear with everything!
I love watching how and what people pack, especially since I’m a chronic over packer 😂 I’ve stopped using nice bags for toiletries since I’ve ruined quite a few. I now use a gallon ziploc until it is worn out and keep my nice bags for something that requires less cleaning.
I finally learned after many years of taking too much stuff, to pack as light as possible, especially when it comes to clothes. I have friends who pack up enough stuff for a month away! Lots of good tips, thanks for sharing all these things, Danielle. You're the best!
Listening to you at the Hyatt Orlando (spending the night before an early flight) on the way to visit Boston grandchildren. I hate overpackers! For a 21 day stay in Japan on business, I brought one small roll-on! Cute stitch bag and nice tips!
I actually enjoyed watching you pack your clothes and essentials. I have never been a good packer. It was good to hear your reasoning on each item. I am the queen of over packing. Thanks
Fun! Just come back from a retreat and we packed the same number of projects including a new start. Came home with a cold and shattered but happy 😊 I love getting a peek at other people’s essentials.
This was fun to watch! I’m still trying to figure out what I wanna bring to the NJ retreat. I keep flip flopping. Hope you get your new suit case for your birthday! See you in a couple weeks in NJ 💕-Jen
Thank you for the video' makes me want to be leaving for a retreat!! LOL I have gone to many retreats over the years and I can add that I also put anything that is liquid in a zip-lock bag because I have had a spill occur and I don't want that again. The other two things that are different from yours is that I pack a small fan since I am always hot. I also sometimes take a footstool for added comfort when stitching at a table. These are just a couple of ideas for anyone who is new to going to retreats. I hope you had a fantastic time and are planning for another retreat soon. Hugs and happy stitching.
Good job. I'm packing for a memorial up at Auburn university this weekend. Unfortunately they have graduation the same weekend so we are having to stay at Callaway Gardens in Ga. Should be nice weather wise. Have fun on your retreat.
Danielle I wanted to let you know that it is illegal to transport prescription meds without the bottle. I talked to the watch commander at the police station that i used to work for. if they stop you and you don't have the bottle they can arrest you for drugs with the intent to sell. the police need to know what the medicine is so you don't get arrested
