I'll tell anyone debating it....... The GLX series optics from Primary Arms are fanf'ntastic! Quit thinking about it and make the damn purchase..... Dimitri nailed it with the ACSS. Every optics company around this Blue Pearl should offer it. And I will admit I get 50% off on Vortex everything. (Don't worry, I run a ton of Vortex too) But for someone who doesn't get a steep discount, the Gold and Platinum lines with the ACSS variants, are unbeatable IMHO. Diggin the hell out of the Crossfire pack. 👌 Anyhow....... Good stuff brother, we appreciate ya! GOD BLESS AMERICA! ALPHA MIKE FOXTROT! 👋

Hey Brent, Army Cav guy here. Got this pack about a year or two ago due to your review, and after two rotations at the Hohenfels Training Area in Germany and I gotta say this thing is seriously awesome. I'm a late sleeper, so the ability to get that five more minutes and know I could pack up my sleep system in a matter of seconds was great peace of mind. Sadly, I didn't get to *really* test it out in a patrol base or OP, but I've done a few rucks with it and it passes easily. Also a quick note: I've cleaned this under direct shower head and applying force to the fabric, and the base fabric is almost completely waterproof. I tested it out with a set of waffles (or grid fleece) and they were bone dry after 15 minutes of cleaning the exterior. I was very surprised. Also, I figured out you can decrease the verticality of the pack substantially if you feed your inflatable sleeping mat through the sleep system compression straps. I also run the claymore bag on those alice width channels and it holds up amazingly thanks to the material used and the plastic keepers on the end. 100% recommend trying it out. (note, the claymore bag will hold like 6-8 monster can sized items for those that this is relevant to) Thanks for the great recommendation, and thanks for what you bring to the table on "tactical youtube". Always appreciate your words of wisdom when it comes to preparedness, tactics, and warfighting. It's a breath of fresh air amongst the instagram operators out in the wild. Scouts out!

@Arbiter55555
@Arbiter55555 2 года назад
@@kutteknugen No actually, it's the MSS Sleep system. I bet you could fit plenty of other warfighting sleeping bags with multiple layers. The MSS has a goretex shell layer, a heavy quilt layer, and a light quilt layer. If you can equate that to your nation's (or company of preference) sleep system, you should be good to go. It's plenty big in there, so I wouldn't worry.

I bought a dg3 mod-1 and a beaver tail in multicam using your discount code for my birthday. I got it fast once they shipped it. Only a few days to ship it plus being a mod they had to prep it. Anyways, as a longtime Alice pack fan girl I have to say I love this pack! I was trying to decide between this and the dg16 but, went with the 3 because I didn’t want to bring too much with me on my travels. If I need more than 55L i can add pouches (thanks to the molle and beaver tail.). I used it a few times on short shake down hikes. Trying it while using different personal load bearing equipment/options. So far so good. Thanks for all the honest reviews you give us and those discounts are awesome!!! Go Get’em, Devil dog!!!

@americanpatriot6918
@americanpatriot6918 3 года назад
This pack is awesome Brent! But they just had a sale with the DG16. Which is the 85L version similar to this one, but not quite the same. Doesn't have the clamore pouch on top, or the pouches that are attached on the back or sides. But I like the way the sleep system goes in on the DG16 better. It's more of a FILBE lower compartment that unzips on the bottom, instead of the side sleeve like this one. Plus I have plenty of MOLLE pouches from other packs like my FILBE, and MOLLE 2 rucksacks. But you were the one that inspired me to use this company. When I saw the 30% off sale, I had to pull the trigger with some of that stimulus money! I used the link you have in the description. Hopefully you get a kickback from it! Either way thanks again for another great gear review!!!!!!!!🤜🤛🇺🇸🇺🇸

good thing about a big rucksack if your in a fire fight just turn around the rucksack containing your Crayon MRE's, E-tools, sleeping bag anything it will slow down the bullet so when it reaches your plate carrier your back won't get the normal force as it would feel like if hit normally or just use it as cover throw it on the ground and lay behind it.

Hey Brent! Nice pack ,really! It reminds me of a combination of my old Lowe Alpine 95-ltr with ALice outer pockets, and some specific design in mind, as you know. Im intrigued by the h2o proof sleeping stowaway design. Mine also has a removable top lid 700 cui, and ingeniously has a waist belt hidden, so you can make a buttpack out of it. I think these guys have thought about everything useful on this new pack. As one commenter said, "appropriate timing"!!!

Excellent review. I use a Norrona Recon Syncroflex pack that was designed in Norway in cooperation with their special forces. The reason why I chose it over other Bergens is because it allows the waist strap to pivot at the back, giving more natural movement. It also allows you to adjust for the height of the wearer, taking the strain off the shoulders. I suffered a prolapse a few years ago and it's the only pack I've found that I can wear with more than 10KG in it.

Solid review on what looks like an excellent pack. I will say that it should've had the entire thing with M.O.L.L.E. so the 4 pouchess can be removed if needed or to use your own in what pattern you'd like. That is what can give the most maximum mission flexibility.

Yeah that's true, but it's an update of the legacy Aussie SAS Mk 6 pack, which had these sewn on, so that was carried forward. Other models (such as the DG16) are all-molle.

Beautiful pack... i think that they might have placed the First Camel back in a outside position between the frame and bag with the second one where is... then added a laptop sleeve and a multi-sized bag option for radio gear and accessories for communications... such as batteries and antennas. Adding a reinforced webbing with attachment points between the outer bags would allow for attachments allowing awkward things and additional gear points. This can be anything from to anti armor or what I would make and field test... a field litter where the lead person will have hands free and can be wheeled like a travois or carried by second person... quick releases to the belt system allows the second person to have hands free. Like I said awkward but effective. The pack looks sturdy enough to me take the weight. This type of litter can be nylon webbing and allow carrying gear in difficult terrain. Then you could string people together in a daisy chain life line by their heavy duty packs... allowing anchor points and quick releases... one person climbs and drops a rope... and the packs and webbing forms a ladder... roughly 10’ person creates engineering opportunities... bridging and climbing obstacles. Placing one to three heavy duty plastic cams in the frame or on attachment points creates a mechanical advantage system. Attaching reinforcements to the bottom of the pack would create a stable anchor points. 5,000lbs nylon webbing would not add much weight but create more opportunities for this pack to be more machine than carry all backpack. Hmmm... where’s my patent application. With self sufficiency and independent requirements this pack is beautiful. I would consider this pack for additional developments. As a civilian I would use this for winter weather exploration and camping... where the bulk of warming layers adds up quick. The thought of the claymore bag on top... water, radios... sigh... ouch, my back hurts and the thoughts of struggling like a turtle getting back to my feet after a quick rest makes me chuckle. I don’t think of anything over 50 liters as being tactical but with a ghillie netting to outfit this fabulous cavernous truck bed for mules on long hauls the bulk would transform into a recognized as a person shape.
