This is gonna be good. Brazilians, feel free to contact me with any tips or suggestions, I'm here now. This will probably be the last country from the Americas this year, but who knows, I don't know how to plan things more than a week in advance. Guyana, skunt, it was fun. I really ended up liking your country in the end. I even have one more video recorded from the interior, but I think I'll release it at a later date -- it's time to mix it up a bit.
knowing your tipe of videos, the central-west region would be a great place for you to explore or if you wanna stay in great cities (or surroundings) just go to florianopolis, curitiba or sao paulo!!
Don’t think I’ll ever get to visit this part of the world in my life time (Suriname, Guyana, northern Brazil/Amazonas) but I’m glad you did. Opened my eyes. Thank you.
Oh man, you are definitely different from any other guy making travel videos on RU-vid. Thanks for coming to Brazil, and for beginning your journey here exactly like you have done. Hope your adventure here can be as fantastic for you as it's being for me in this first video in our contry. It's a very diverse country, in every way you can possibly think. Of couse, there's many problems we are facing now and some of them came from long time ago. These problems are sided, but mostly compensated, by the beauty of the country and the warmth and kindness of the people here. You will probably see it, mainly because you choose to know the countries as they are in fact. That's one of the reasons I guess the majority of your followers keep coming to your channel video after video. I live in São Paulo and hope you have the opportunity to come here and get to know this huge, beautiful and complex city! Parabéns pelo seu trabalho, seja muito bem vindo ao Brasil! Que os seus dias aqui sejam mágicos!
check out Kurt Caz channel, he recently came to Brazil and as always he goes for the true experience that even brazilians like myself never did, pretty courageous I'd say
@@mike_bobagens I follow him too but he appears a bit arrogant and cocky at times. Tommy, on the other hand, is a really simple guy, humble and I like how he also gives some historical facts about the places he visits.
@@Alexandre.10 idai que ele não seja brasileiro, ele está certo... O Brasil não é só carnaval, Rio e mulheres nuas, e acredite muitos só pensam nisso...
Dude, literally my favorite RU-vid. We both have an intense passion for languages. My goal is to know at least greetings in every language possible, and listening to you speak in different languages is super cool. Thanks for the good work!
I've actually been to the Lethem-Bonfim border once, and that was the only hour of my life spent in Brazil. Also props to you for actually knowing how to pronounce Guyana.
Really liked this video. I like that you go to out of the way places that is not normally featured. It shows another side of these countries. Look forward to your next video. Good luck from Florida.
I have been following your travels for a couple of months, even going back to check out some of your previous videos. I love that you travel to places that are not normally visited. It offers a great perspective on life in areas most know nothing about. Great job. Keep up the great work.
Lol... the opening to this videos is great bro. My wife is Brazilian. She's here in Sacramento with me now. I went there twice to be with her. It's fing awesome.
Tommy, I'm loving this just as much as much as your African videos. thank you so much. I'm still living through your trips. Your videos keep me feeling well. I check for them. keep traveling, be safe, and may God bless you.
A very interesting and rich way to enter a country. No facades for tourists, just regular folks in the course of their everyday lives. I love it. Can’t wait for more…
I met your channel more then 1 year ago and I was wondering when you would come to Brazil. Finally you came! It´s a big country. The cities, nature and culture changes a lot as you go to the south. Hope you stay here for a long time to get to know a complete view of Brazil
“O país mais grande do mundo”, my Brazilian friends used to say, back in Argentina. It is truly a VAST land of never-ending cultures. I’d love to visit it myself, one day.
it's amazing how RU-vid recommended your channel to me, not because of this video itself but because of the ones from Africa and after looking at your channel I see that you are in my country and that's amazing, I don't know how long you plan to stay but it would be amazing if you spent it in the state of Ceará, normally tourists are stuck in the southern region of the country and stop seeing the wonders we have in the northeast, anyway welcome to Brazil, I'm waiting for the next videos.
Visited the nordeste many times , falo , escrevo , leio portugues , more over dutch , german , french and english , i am dutch . Love your content , impressive linguist , we have very similar eye color , pretty rare , 2 % worldwide .
Tommy, glad that you finally got to Brazil! Don’t miss coming to Floripa! If you happen to come here, let me know. It would be a pleasure to host you. Keep up the good work, ma man!
I just returned from Rio. I stayed in Ipanema, and had a great time. I enjoy the Portuguese speaking videos, Helps me with my language learning. Keep it up man I like the videos.
I have my popcorn and other munchies all ready. This is going to be an adventure of a lifetime and I am watching. Thanks Sabbatical for taking us along with you. Brazil is very iconic and a beautiful country. Enjoy .
Excellent, up here in cold Oregon Tommy, Love the perspective when you fly in the rain forest, gives one a birds eye view like where traveling with you which is what we do weekly, always love Sabbatical, since college have been on my own Sabbatical "Loving experience in a strange planet". You have the words in action, and learn more of language, the other half, People. Thanks Tommy.
Enjoyed your adventures in Suriname, Guyana and now Brazil. In august I am going to French Guiana. Hope you will visit the country because is hardly visited. Greetings from the Netherlands.
I’m from Brazil, I live in São Paulo. You’ll be amazed of how diverse this country actually is. Going to amazon and north east are a must go. Still, you have to visit São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Florianópolis. You’ll love visiting these 3 cities.
Cool video as always Tommy! You're now into the 4th country I have yet to visit ( Argentina, Guyana, Suriname and now Brazil) thanx to you I am learning a lot from my couch. The people, the food the lands. Real time education. I also am beginning to realise your list of languages may be infinite, as You're a sponge of all knowledge, language included. Safe travels as I await mire of Brazil. You met Ace in Argentina, maybe youll run into Czech here in Brazil.
I absolutely fell in love with Brazil....stayed there 6 months, and dreamed for years of returning again. Been in Asia instead for the last 20+ years :) But, just you going into Brazil, I can feel that magical air of the place that just permeates everything of that country.
Nice, im glad you came to brazil, and you desire to learn more about this gigantic and diverse country, i hope you enjoy your stay in Brazil, I recommend places to Discover the geographical and cultural diversity of Brazil like: Buzios, Ouro Preto, Chapada diamantina, Chapada dos Veadeiros, Capítolio, The Pantanal, iguazu falls, Florianopolis, Gramado and Canela, Balneario Camboriu, Blumenau, Praia da Pipa, Campos do Jordão, Brotas, Curitiba, Vitória, Lencois Maranhenses, etc and etc
I love how you can hear the rushing of the water as you make your way towards the falls! That savannah type area between the borders was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for all the explaining you do on the area and the history of the people also.
This channel is from every single trip channel that I have seen, this is the real story of places, bro we went a bar with local people and drank " cachaça " after saw it now I'm new subscriber and addicted in channel salute from Ireland 😉🇧🇷
Tom, you're quite something else! Seems like every one of your videos involves some unconventional approach. The learning involved competes 50:50 with the entertainment value always. Continued blessings, my friend. --Æ.
@@musical_lolu4811 not necessarily. Portuguese can be quite different to Spanish. Especially the European version. Spanish speakers would understand Italian more than Portuguese.
@@nathanmerritt1581 I don't understand Italian, but I understand 80% of Brazilian even if there is a word i can't understand the context will help us a lot.
@@nathanmerritt1581 Spanish speaker here from Uruguay who spent a lot of time in the border with Brazil. That's not true. We can understand almost 80% of written portuguese, and when you pick up the pronunciation you can communicate with someone without speaking it. Italian on the other hand is much more different than portuguese is to spanish.
Hey man, that's awesome to see you here! Se continuar viajando pelo Brasil venha para a região Sul da Bahia, na cidade de Porto Seguro, you will love it! There are some places here that look like Zanzibar. I strongly recomend you visiting here!
Sabbatical big shout out from kojak country lifestyle RU-vid channel in Jamaica. Man I like how you traveling all around the globe please say hello to the beautiful people of Brazil.
Meu BRASIL! País enorme e diverso, cada região e estado passa um sentimento diferente. Curioso para saber se você irá andar mais pelo Norte, Nordeste, Sul, Sudeste ou Centro-Oeste.
Greeting from Cape Town South Africa. Looking forward to your Brazil stint. I think you will bring a unique experience to your viewers that is different from most RU-vid vloggers in how you document Brazil 🇧🇷 👍🏻 Brazil…my home away from home 😂
Really enjoyed watching this back door entry to Brazil. Hey I'm curious if you connect up with other RU-vidrs. It looks like Kurt maybe just hit Brazil somewhere around Guyana also. I know it's a big place. Happy trails. 😎
