Try to learn some Arabic language which will help you a lot especially on the border. I always watch your blog and always pray for your safety. This guy who took almost 25 dollars from you for nothing, I am fluent in Arabic and I think you did a mistake by asking him how much money did he want, instead you could have given him two notes as a tips. When you asked him he got you. These kind of brokers exists in Asian borders only. By the way stay safe and have a wonderful journey. I really enjoyed your Syria tour. I've watched a lot of your travels and have started to notice something about you which is disappointing. All through your travels you have enjoyed a lot of hospitality and generosity from strangers. People have given you food, drink, dinners out, places to stay, companionship and assistance when you needed it. You have happily accepted it all. But when it comes to helping another person your attitude is really different. The situation with the guy at the border was unpleasant no doubt, but I don't think he was enjoying having to almost beg you for money. Don't shame people. No doubt you understood the situation Lebanon was in before going in and a lot of muslim countries are in at the moment. You can see first hand the difficulties people are facing, trying to survive. If you are still choosing to travel through them at such a time, open your heart and mind a bit. Be a bit more generous with people as they are with you.
