Tears are flowing, I have not been back to my homeland for 23 years, probably will never again. I was born there and lived there for the first 39 years of my life. I absolutely love your videos Noraly .
I am from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 and I would like to say I fully endorse this video. This is a true reflection of the amazing experience that awaits you when you visit Zimbabwe. Well done Itchy Boots!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Why do Zimbabweans always feel compelled to prop up a country with a dead economy & dilapidated infrastructure, agreed it's beautiful but so is any other place on earth. But hey maybe you are a Zanu Pf official doing his job
@@BinAlleywe are proudly Zimbabwean nothing Zanu PF about that. The Victoria Falls belong to all Zimbabweans not a political party so there is nothing wrong with someone celebrating and bragging about their own homeland.
After 25 years living in Zambia, I still think that Zimbabwe has the best view of the falls. You will love it here, the people are the best, and the bush is so pure, enjoy it while you can.
I'm Zimbabwean and saw the falls from the Zambian side on my 4th visit and it felt like I was seeing them for the first time. Both sides are amazing in their unique respective ways... and yet it's the same waterfall!!
Noraly, I was born in Zimbabwe & love this country so much. Thank you for reminding me of how beautiful Vic Falls is. Enjoy your travels through Africa. It is the best continent to visit & enjoy the natural beauty. Safe travels on your motorbike. Kind regards, Andre
Warthogs will not attack unprovoked. They are not aggressive. They are, however, dangerous if cornered (or if in rut). Just never corner one. It is the lower tusks that do the damage. They are razor sharp. If they are nearby, back up slowly and give them an out. You will not out run one nearby. They can reach 55 kph (35 mph) in short bursts.
Thank you for showing us around Southern Africa and going into Zimbabwe was the icing on the cake. Mosi-oa -Tunya the mighty Victoria Falls has made miss home more.
I still have a t-shirt somwhere that has Mosi-oa-tunya 'The smoke that thunders' on it.. Visited Zimbabwe in 1994.. Vic Falls, Hwange national park, Bulawayo, Masvingo, Harare...
"The smoke that thunders" never fails to impress. During a full moon one can witness what they call a moonbow. I think that anyone who is not awed by the majesty of this natural wonder is probably tired of life. Another wonderful adventure. Thank you
@@Dave-sw2dm Yep, as @Allen said, Cumberland Falls in Williamsburg, KY, "The Niagara of the South". Nice views, nice trails, happy to have it basically in my back yard, "Feels Like Home".
Just loved to see Victoria Falls again, I lived in Rodesia - Zimbabwe from 1975 to 1985, now living Azores islands and you are making me itchy to visit, love Africa.
It was 51 years ago that I visited Victoria Falls. I was a child and went there with my mother and father at the age of 7. Amazing to see them again especially now that I live in New Zealand. Thanks for sharing.
@@MrMaziar58 I was there in 1976; I drove from the UK to SA in VW Kombi, and saw the falls..the area was not so built up, and you just wandered to the falls, no paths etc...was a wonderful time. Well done Noraly, respect.
in 1976 we visited family in Rhodesia, and when at the falls i carved my name on a tree, i wonder if it still there, we then traveled for 24 hours on a ferry down the Kariba dam, those where epic times. so glad to see this again.
OH WOW! What a heart thumper day! I never imagined the Falls were that huge. Your welcoming committee of animals was really exhilarating. I’m once again amazed and thankful to have been able to see this day with you. You ROCK! as always! Thanks for taking us along, Noraly! 🏍🇺🇸
Thanks for the video. I am a Zimbabwean 🇿🇼 but never visited Victoria falls yet. Now I saw how it looks like. You are such a brave lady, some of us man can not do such things. Thank you so much 👏 may the lord bless you and your future.
I am not afraid, I am never in a hurry, I am always patient, I am always friendly and I am always positive and luckily negative for the test, the ingredients for successful traveling.Looking forward to see zimbabwe..trough your eyes!
Victoria Falls is so much larger then I imagined and beautiful. All the wild life you have seen is amazing. Difficult to realize the amount people have paid to for a guide to see what you have seen. I know you spend lots of time in research for your travels. For that everyone thanks you.
The lack of signage at our public spaces always irks me. Even us locals struggle to know what to do or where to go at places such as border posts. And the officers arent bothered😅 Good luck on the rest of your trip, thanks for visiting my beautiful Botswana🇧🇼💙
YIPEEEE! You're taking me home to Zimbabwe. Loveliest people in the world there. (The dearest warthog and mongoose families too! And please go out at night looking out for Bush Babies ..... )
Scottish explorer David Livingstone may have named the falls after his reigning queen in 1855, but the Kalolo-Lozi people had their own name for it - Mosi-oa-Tunya, “the smoke that thunders.”
Vic Falls, one of my favourite places, been there so many times and never fails to be awe-inspiring. I used to drive 4 times a year from South Africa to Serengeti Park in Tanzania to go to work and then back home again in my Landy. When I reached Vic Falls on every drive down I always felt like I was "home again". Can't wait to move back home to South Africa and leave Europe far behind me!!!
Wow! Incredible. We wanted to do a road trip from Nairobi to Cape Town but abandoned the plan when some of my friends deemed it too long and risky. But I hope I get the courage to do it
My Dear Noraly, I have to say that you are the embodiment of every adventurer that has traveled this planet. But with your spirit, you continue to find something new and inspiring. You are one of the most inspiring young women that I have had the absolute joy in watching. Please for those that are not able to, Continue the journey. Always remember to keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down.
Good bye Botswana , Welcome Zimbabwe !! We have known about Zimbabwe for a long time, because of cricket . The climate and environment here are similar to the climate in my country.. I'm Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 .. Amazing Waterfall , gorgeous ..😍
Wow I am so glad you crossed into my country Zimbabwe Noraly. For a while I feared you would avoid Zimbabwe. I discovered your channel by accident when you bought your bike in Joburg and have followed you since Welcome to Zimbabwe🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼
If you think South Africa was beautiful, brace yourself for Zim. Spectacular country. Fantastic people. Stay on a housboat on Lake Kariba. Hwange is fantastic. Nyanga to the east is breathtaking. The stone carvings, the art, the pottery. Find some flame lilies. I could go on and on. Thank you so much for a wonderful African series. It is a cyber treasure.
@@francoiswilliams it is his opinion. Zim has its good spots too... and there are less of a preserve for certain classes of people (land is state owned, so any leased land for game reserves and parks cannot be subject to any form of segregation) and are more accessible to everyone.
Firstly, I did not intend to imply one was better than the other. I was born in SA and absolutly love the county. I have been lucky enough to travel to Zim quite often and think its also spectacular. I feel Its shear beauty has for too long been overshadowed by the negative press of the past. I have also been very lucky to meet some wonderful Zimbabweans, so my opinion is based on my personal experience and I am excited to watch IB's upcomming vids :-)
I am really jealous. To have Vic Falls to yourself with the river running low. Last time I was there with the river in full flow, couldn't see anything for the spray. Enjoy the country of my birth.
@@helmet_hair_dont_care Me too. My brother and I went back after 50 years away and we recognised our schools in Harare, the house our father built there and of course the falls. A great trip.
The Netherlands was my home for three and a half years, mixed feelings about it but Dutch people took such good care of me, always cheering for you guys!!! I'd looove to take my Dutch friends around some time.... Super cheering for you! Thank you for visiting my country!!!!
Are you not afraid of animals? Noraly: “I’m not afraid. Warthogs: ‘ Say what??? Thank you for showing us the Vic Falls! They are huge and so, so beautiful 🤩
It's a couple of years ago since I stayed in VicFalls for the last time. These warthogs were used to be feeded by visitors. I gave a piece of bread and they were happy
Whoever knew one day I would watch the amazing lady in my home country. Greetings and love from the capital Harare. Fingers crossed, one day I will bump into you 😊😊😊👏
Big news in the kingdom of warthogs, Pumbaa announces he saw the legendary Itchy Boots today and he was just awestruck. 😍 I had not realized how huge and majestic the Vic Falls were. Seems to dwarf the Niagara Falls. Another awesome episode. Thanks for showing us so much beauty in Africa. Safe riding.
Perhaps my most favorite video. Welcome to Zimbabwe! 👏❤️😁💥 I got total chills when I heard the Victoria Falls, and then to see them is beyond magnificent! And those rainbows & warthogs. I'm so happy for you, Noraly. 🌈🎶 Keep shining your LIGHT & LOVE. You rock!
Vic falls are part of the Rift Valley, a fault line that runs all the way up the right coast line of Africa. It produced Kilimanjaro and I think ends around where Madagascar is today - which itself and along with Australia and Antartica broke away from. The Rift is a very sacred part of the world in that it produced the first humans and gave rise to some of the most unique species across the planet.
Oh wow! I named my daughter after those falls. 50 years ago when i was just 9 years old i saw a film about them at our local cinema and fell in love with them, ive always wanted to go to Zimbabwe and see them. When i retire i will go. Thank you so much for the wonderful footage, means so much. X
Great stuff. I love Africa! I have made a dozen trips to UGANDA, the Pearl of Africa, and have grown to love all of the Continent. So much diversity and the people are so welcoming and amazing--even for us Muzungus. Been around many warthogs in Uganda, they are definitely not afraid of people and hang around a lot of the hotels. Safe travels.
As a tourist it makes you want to return, but when you decide to live there and do the daily battles, your ideas of the continent might just start to alter!!!
@@chrisg1234fly Depends on the country of Africa you're talking about... Some are poor, some are middle income and others actually have a quite good standard of living...
@@guleiro Standard of living is one thing, yes, I can go and buy a Ferrari tomorrow, but the fact that the paperwork takes 6 months to get done to own it cos it keeps getting 'Lost'!!! is the day to day issues that travellers do not see when they whizz through somewhere.
@@chrisg1234fly I get what you're saying. I'm from Angola and your description reminds me how things used to be in the 80s and 90s. Today things are much different. I bought a new car two years ago and the registration process took 2 days. I get your point but it really depends on the country. Some countries are still stuck in the old ways but others are quite good. Maybe if you mention the name some specific countries it will be easier to understand.
@@bustersmith5569 Well, after the change of goverment in 1980 i stayed on hoping that the country would settle down and get back to normal. It did not, history shows what happened in Zimbabwe.
@@markperry5429 No, not driven off. My parents left before i did. When i left there were limits of what one could take, no new cars, furniture and the like. I took my new landrover caravan and boat out on holliday and just did not go back.
Wow Noraly ? Zimbabwe is shaping up to be a very interesting place. Stunning views of Victoria Falls. Looking forward to following your Zimbabwe adventure. Stay safe. Cheers, Dan. ✌️🏍🇨🇦😃
I’ve seen the Victoria Falls ( Mosi-oa-Tunya: which translates to “ the smoke that thunders”. ) several time in my lifetime. I was lucky enough to be brought up in Zambia & Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and had the pleasure of seeing this magnificent natural wonder of the world. 😍😍😍
“I’m not afraid!”… only Noraly! Thanks for showing us an amazing waterfall. Must be no other like it anywhere in the world. Wart hogs? What’s next, you’ve seen about every type of wildlife on the African continent! Be safe out there!
So much joy from showing this video to my kids and the photos of me in the same spots at the falls, 12 years ago. Much seems to have changed and for the better.
You are almost done with Southern Africa this is impressive but😭😭😭 you just woke up next to our resort here. I hope you enjoy your stay in my neighbourhood. That place is amazing. People are so shocked how you manage to travel alone in a motorbike. You are brave my dear
@No sugar No cream but my dear is hard to travel in the continent as an African i don't if you know that. Is easy for mzungu than us but we will get there one day
@No sugar No cream You are acting as if there's no tribal and religious divisions in Africa, and often times very severe and xenophobic ones. What you said is insulting to the many who have been killed, kidnapped and humiliated by others on the continent. You wrote that like you're a Pan-African nationalist from AMERICA, who knows nothing about the intricate and complicated history of Africa. I think you are much more intelligent than that, though. So just think, understand, that it's not so easy for Africans IN Africa.
Love it! Neither words nor images can truly describe the force of nature that are the Victoria Falls - a destination not to be missed. Please be sure to have tea at the Vic Falls hotel, visit the Boma for dinner, hang out for a beer at Zambezi house, and for sure, not to be missed, a river cruise for sundowners on the Zambezi! Have fun - this country (my country) is truly amazing! Wish I could have been riding along on this one...
Thank you sooooo much for this video! You made my day, and much respect how you stayed so calm with those warthogs. Great memories for me having visited Kariba Dam on the far East of Victoria Falls.
Warthogs are actually extremely common in Vic falls, they are part of the furniture. Definitely not to be underestimated. Zim and particularly Vic Falls have VERY aggressive elephants. Be SAFE! . PS thank you for showcasing my amazing home (Southern Africa) . Adore you and the channel.
To Noraly...When an African elephant spreads his ears, and possibly trumpets, be very careful! It is their warning sign. Point your bike away from them and be ready to move quickly, even though it might be the wrong direction!
As a senior, I thought I had seen almost everything in life. However, your video of Victoria Falls made me sit up, take notice, and utter astonishing adjectives about what I was seeing. Thanks so much for giving me that pleasure! May your journeys be safe and trouble-free!
Thank you. Through your eyes I have seen something I never thought to see. Not sure why in all the years of watching RU-vid I never saw your channel until 2 weeks ago. Glad I found it. You are an amazing young woman.
These new adventures for you Noraly bring back memories of my childhood in Rhodesia seeing these places for the first time in 50 years thanks for wonderful videos of your trip thru one of the world's most beautiful country's. God bless you and stay safe.
What a beautiful way to start in a new country. Hope this is an indication of what (i believe) beautiful country Zimbabwe must be. I can understand why you fell in love with this beautiful continent.
To be honest with you she only shows us the beautiful side of the country she does not really show the bad parts and with her positivity it looks better as well.
Yay, Zimbabwe my birth place. I have been to the Vic. Falls many times but still found it exhilarating seeing it with you again Noraly. Go and see the tribal dancing and music at the Vic. Falls hotel if they still do it and a sundowner cruise up the Zambezi is nice too. Also the white water rafting below the falls if you are feeling adventurous. Take care as always and enjoy this wonderful country.
Itchy Boots is becoming a weekly tradition, As always the best way to end a week and enjoy a 20 minute morning cup of coffee at a nice slow pace to start the day. As a rule i've always been a solo rider, but riding with Noraly is the best possible exception to any rule that i could imagine.Thank you for the weekly peek into your wondeful world on two wheels. Godspeed to you, Craig from Death Valley California
