Crossing-the-Bridge #RiceNoodles is a widely favored food in China originating from Mengzi city in Southwest #China’s Yunnan province.
Crafted meticulously by hand, the thin, smooth and chewy #noodles are served in a broth, accompanied by multiple side dishes. The broth is mainly made from chicken, pork and pork bones, and stewed into old soup. Side dishes include those raw and cooked, such as quail eggs, sliced pork tenderloin, mushy peas and chives.
The origins of this renowned dish trace back to a tale from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) involving a dedicated scholar who pursued his studies on an island in a local lake, and his wife who brought him rice noodles across a bridge every day. #chinesefood
