*Fat man, Tiny Bike, Roams Ireland !*
So this is Days 1 and 2 of my challenge to ride a tiny 100cc 2-stroke Yamaha - my 35 year old YB100 around the entire coast of Ireland and prove to these GS1250 riders that they are pussies!!!
In this video I leave home and ride across Wales stopping the night in the White Hart Hotel in Llandeilo. The following morning I meet Richard in Carmarthen who kindly joined me to ride to the ferry port of Fishguard.....mainly on small roads!
Brilliant ride Richard.....thanks mate!
Then the matter of the 3.5 hour crossing to Rosslare, Ireland from Fishguard which was pretty calm.
The final end of the journey was to the Riverbank Hotel just as the rain really began to tumble down, They kindly gave me somewhere dry to keep the bjke! Nice breakfast a d. ice stage to my tour!q

Nice day's run through Welsh Wales, where men are men and sheep are nervous! 😂 Last time I was on a bike in the Fishguard area was in 1967, on my Honda C77, the 305 cc Superhawk, having ridden down from Solihull.

Morning Rob you gave me a Cameo Role in Your Movie on my Orange Honda coming off the Ferry in Rosslare i will keep that forever ! Please Forward my Royalties ha Ha 🎬📽 very Entertaining ...I am not Suprised The YB 100 made it Round Ireland a mate of mine Had one when he was 17 and the Amount of Abuse that Yamaha Withstood was Amazing!

I am Heading in your Direction thursday me my mate are planning to have a bite to Eat on the Cotswold Diner its a converted Bus Transformed in to A Mobile Restaurant I spotted it Parked up Near Birdlip Hill on my way back from Wales

Was really fantastic to ride with you from Carmarthen over the Preseli mountains and down to Fishguard, nice to see the bikes celebrity status by being first on the ferry, my "parts bin " bike looked good on film! and the sound of your YB brought back memories, I fitted a YB100 engine into my Fizzy back in the day, easy swap as the frame is the same, can't wait to see the next instalment of your epic journey.

@@jefflambert8603 Thanks, yes did it myself and the idea of the paint is from an RD of the late 70's, both the black and orange are ford colours and metallic, unfortunately the engine of the bike is now in bits awaiting new main bearings but I will be back out on it soon, its fun to ride.

Walsh names are hard enough to pronounce Rob, you should try Maori names here in NZ. Looking forward to this series of videos. Cheers.

Its not just Welsh and Maori names. If you don't live locally to a place in the uk your incorrect way of pronouncing it will expose the fact that you are a "foreigner" Ha ha ! By the way the guy that joined me on the second day in Wales from Carmarthen to the ferry, was very seriously injured in a collision with a DRUG driver. He lost his leg and his with was seriously injured too, Terrible.
