Love the attitude! My I suggest, when making mounts for Heims, what you call Uniballs, they will last longer if mounted in double sheer, where they would fit in a mounting slot with bolt going through both sides of slot and fastened with a locking nut.
I loved the sudden outbreak into acapella , there's nothing better than music. Great video , I'd like to build a cross cart some day in the near future . It's nice to know what I'm getting into , thanks .
Those A-arms are going to outlast the engine. Built like a tank, I love it! Overengineering the steering is definitely the right move. Can't wait till it's throwing up dirt! Are you going to shorten the lower arm to make the wheel flatten out when bottoming out the suspention? Also, if that rear diff isn't working out in terms of being able to handle the horses, get a cheap VW Beetle diff and rotate your engine 90 degrees :)
we have already plans swap that R1 engine to hayabusa turbo engine and take 400-500hp out of that so the frame needs to be rock solid hehe :D with those uniball joints you can adjust upper and lower arms just how you like that rear diff is from racing crosskart so it should be strong enough :)
awesome build!!! can I please get the information on the uniball and pipe nuts you used when making these I've looked all over and can't find them. part numbers would be great!!!
those sparkles flting iut from the grinder is badass but apply gentle pressure on the grinder that sparkles flying our could be able make up some fire I have a lot of instance that sparkles coaigt fires in clothes
Please help me.... Iam planning to make a buggy with 150cc bike engine... Can i use TUK-TUK differential by adding sprocket to the differential so that i can use chain drive along with it?or ahould i use solid axle? Please reply
You should have a look at Autograss class 8 in the uk. They was building car like this 20 years ago. Its moved on so much since then done away with chains and sprockets running drive boxes bolts straight on to the engine
Richard Mitchell auto grass is a flat track course! You put a auto grass car on a chopped out track and they will struggle! There engines are so far back of the chassis they are only designed to suited the uk course. (Not saying they are a bad machine). So you can’t say what he is doing is wrong, cause in off-road there are so many variables to setup and to track conditions. Chains and sprockets are still used to this day and there’s nothing wrong with that. Once you start using transfer cases to motor cycle engines you start to lose HP!
@@SikSwanger Dont get me wrong Im not saying anything he is doing is wrong Im not saying he should be biulding a Auotgrass car to do what he is doing Im just saying that a drivebox in my opinion is better than chains this man as obviously got some engineering skills he could make a drivebox to suit his car and obviously not seen some of the Auotgrass tracks ive raced on lol
Richard Mitchell yes you right with the drive boxes. I hate chains too! Haha But you do lose a lot of power through a drive boxes/diff setups running bike motors.
why would you weld the uniball end fittings in the tubes? put locking nuts then tack them to the tubes. need an adjustment do to stretching just grind tack and adjust.
you know, if you fitted a smaller sprocket on the engine, you could use a smaller one on the rear which would reduce the rotating mass. Would increase performance for free.
Finally found a video of someone doing the same build as me. I was having trouble coming up with an axle design that allowed for travel. Trouble because I'm trying to do it with limited budget. Why CV joints instead of u-joints? Will CV joints endure the punishment?
Where did you get the parts or kit for the rear axle setup. I have been looking for the center piece (where the chain sprocket and disk break are) and the axles and can not find them anywhere. I see others setup with the rear axle like yours but no mention of where they got the parts for the setup. Thanks Don
Wow! Congratulations. This is a recommendable work. I have some questions for you plz, 1.How can I get the right map of this car? 2.Do you have the exact measurements that you can share? 3.Can I use a motorbike engine in making this go kart? I kindly need your answer because you have inspired me so much and I need to make mine.
hello very top friend your project was very good, I am brazilian I have a kart Cross piranha already tried to download this model of yours and I could not be that you could help me?
I don't get it, why would you choose ball joints for rear axle that's moving only up and down? Why would you choose these type of joints on vehicle at all (They will wear out very quickly) ?
