Necroxis I get why you’re so hyped by it, I get the emotions, I felt them too. But, please dear god do not give the writers a free pass for the god awful bloody writing they used to force this plot line. You might not like Sylvannas, but I love her and throwing her under the bus in order to force this contrived plot line is just pathetic. Yeah, obviously she’s a villain and not an anti-hero.. but, seriously? Love this cinematic, fucking hate how we got here though.
Hello. I really like your videos and I like to see you react to wow every cinematic. I understand that you are hating Sylvanas and you have a reason, but for me she is the Queen and Warchife. Unfortunately, Blizzard takes it away quickly. But I hope they don't kill her because I think Sylvanas is one of the best characters in the entire Warcraft universe. I hope that whoever chooses her can go with her. I really want her to be a savior and not an enemy. Do not understand her, she still wants to be good: D
I dont think she's been thrown under the bus at all. She's acted villainous since her rebirth as an Undead. The thing that's been forced is not having dealt with her yet, not finally dealing with her.
Love it. I am glad it is coming to this. I'm glad Thrall and Jaina are back together. And Baine, my original character was Tauren and when Cairne died that was the first time a wow storyline hit me. When Baine got captured I actually started to level him up to 120 to get ready to try to save Baine, And now Thunderbluff may come under attack. Jaina is my favourite character though.
Sylvanas is just going to be written saying "oh I was doing the right thing the entire time" or " oh I was being controlled the entire time". Blizzard won't upset their Sylvanas fanboys.
I'm worried about that still but I honestly don't see how they can do that and pretend it should be taken seriously, especially after this one. This cinematic specifically definitely paints Sylvanas as the enemy.
I'm thinking The Battle for Thunder Bluff will be the battle to end the war between Alliance and Horde before the final battle against Azshara and N'zoth.
Also, if and when Anduin sends us / troops to defend and protect Thunder Bluff, Tyrande is going to freak. The story so far hasn't indicated that she knows Anduin intentionally freed Saurfang, now we, Jaina and Shaw are sent to rescue Baine. When she finds out about all this sh*t is really going to hit the fan. And Blizz still hasn't offered any explanation why Stormwind forces never arrived to help at Teldressil.
@@PandoraNYC1 They does or not ? Horde tricked Alliance forces to think battle will by in Silithus while they really marched on Teldrassil and when they figure it out and set to Teldrassil it was too late. Alliance than used same tactic in Nazmir while they attacked Dazar´Alor and killed Rastakhan.
@@PandoraNYC1 However, Blizzard has explained why the Alliance forces did not come to Teldrassil in time. The way is too far with the ships. He has always taken weeks. The Draenei have nothing left after the war on Argus, the Vindicaar could just bring our heroes to Azeroth. Mage portals can only bring individual people, at the most small groups from one place to another, no armies. All this was explained in the Alliance Short Story. I do not think Tyrande would freak out. The night elves say themselves that they do not want to destroy the Horde, but stop Sylvanas and if possible eliminate it. Shandris as Tyrande's stepdaughter tells you this a few times when you talk to her. And through Shandris, Tyrande will also learn that Jaina and Shaw helped Baine. Because Jaina tells Genn and Shandris. In addition, night elves work with tauren (and orcs and trolls) to heal Azeroth. There was not a single Horde druid in the Teldrassil scenario, except for the player who attacked Teldrassil. I think the night elves would definitely help the tauren. Alone to annoy Sylvanas and maybe get her hands on her.

PrinceVega I also cannot buy a Horde redemption arc. They have already nearly exterminated an entire race AGAIN, and there are a grand total of TWO orcs who feel bad about it.
I'm so crying. And I hope that now Horde and Alliance finally become the faction that they have been for some addons. And that's Blizzard and a new second faction. The vision of Velen still has to be fulfilled;)
After War Mode, the thing that came to mind was a "Peace Mode" feature, where you, the player could decide whether or not they want to be neutral, at war, or at peace with the other faction. I don't have War Mode turned on, usually, but I would very much like to have the option to heal a player from the other faction who is about to die from something, or I want to group with them too. The Battle.net integration already blurs these lines quite a bit so it wouldn't be much of a leap anyways. On thing I would add to the Peace Mode is NPCs from the other faction not attacking you as you run close/through a base of theirs. You don't have to be able to interact with vendors, flight masters ans such other than your own, but that could also be a feature of this as well.

Pretty soon the Alliance will have Three sets of Humans - Stormwind, Gilneas, Kul Tiras Two sets of Elves - Night and Void Two sets of Dwarves - Bronzebeard and Dark Iron Two sets of Draenei - Draenor and Light-Forged Two sets of Gnomes - Gnomeregan and Mechagnomes and their own Undead. And the Horde will have 2 kinds of Orcs, 2 kinds of Trolls, 2 kinds of Tauren, 2 kinds of elves, 2 kinds of short capitalists, and the Undead. And both sides have Pandas.
You would think after the hundred times approaching End Time by demons, gods, aliens, supervillains, giant edgy lizards, Japanese tentacles, or some random murder hobos.... You would think they learned something. And i'm not talking about the characters, i'm also talking about the actual players that think Horde v Alliance is a good thing lore wide.
I think the players being rabid idiots is actually pretty true to life. You could have two factions who live in a horribly destitute place and rather than work together to fix it, they kill each other. Happens in real life all the time haha.
Blizzard 1: "People have realised we are giving the Alliance no content what will we do?" Blizzard 2: "Get rid of the factions we can focus on Orcs more outside of factions and Alliance can't complain about that despite years of neglect." Blizzard 1: "Yes excellent idea let's do it."
No there isn't. The loyalists are only ever told that they will be rewarded for being loyal to her. Not that there is some grand plan and that she's the good guy all along.
I'm a hardcore alliance player since day one, i live and breath for the blue banner, but as much as I hate everything sylvanas has done and continues to do, I feel that you, me and everyone will get a harsh wakeup call when we find out that she's been doing all of this on purpose, a big plan (a crule one nevertheless) to unite everyine, horde and alliance the hard way, and prepare us to face an unimaginable threat. I firmely believe it and the only missing piece of puzzle for me is how did she know what she knows. Does she also has her own side agenda? Yes, but The way they portrayed her as a villain so strongly to make alliance hate her, and make horde question her, pushing each side closer to the other isn't a coincidence.
As for factions going away I've always been fine with that. The factions are limiting both story wise and gameplay wise. They can always be reformed later down the timeline when Blizzard wants them to return. So I've never had an issue with that my one issue is gonna be the Night Elves. If they actually go with the Tyrande is evil and Shandris turns on her like wtf is that. That said if we get beyond the faction war which I was always fine with just wish they'd maneuvered Tyrande into a position of when Sylvanas is gone she can live with the Horde in 8.2 rather than ignoring her. We still need focus on some sort of Alliance or formerly Alliance characters next expansion with content exclusive for Alliance players just like the Horde players have gotten in BfA.
Ballagorn Didn’t you hear? Tyrande already got her revenge! She will sing kumbya with Saurfang by the end of this expansion, just like the tiny number of surviving Night Elves will.
I liked this cinematic, especially after reading Lord of the Clans. I didn't like when they turned Thrall into a Mary Sue, but having him admit to his faults and have internal struggles is nice. Also, the faction war is being dragged on too long much like they did the Burning Legion. It was cool back in Cata and Mists, but now it feels repetitive. The only problem with having the Horde and Alliance forming some sort of confederacy would be PVP gameplay mechanics and past grudges. However, it would be cool to RP in Stormwind with my troll hunter.
Maybe this is the new faction, Neutral. People who choose to not support a faction in particular, you don't hate on horde or alliace. And even when you choose to stay in one faction you also chose not to fight the other. By doing this you will be able to group with them for dungeons, missions, raids and even Bg's/arena. You could unlock unique features/transmog/mounts/lore quests.
In my opinion Sylvanas supporters come in two different categories. The first group accepts that she's evil and only out for herself, but they like that and they like playing evil characters...usually on the forums these players are undead, or blood elf demon hunters, death knights (which is funny story-wise, since they already broke free from the control of one undead tyrant..), warlocks, etc. The other camp is just hardcore, loyal Sylvanas fans from Warcraft or early Wow who are desperately hoping that all her evil this expansion is going to have a big twist at the end and she *won't* actually be relegated to the 'gone crazy/full on evil and reduced to raid boss' path like Kael'thas and Garrosh. This second group is sadly delusional I think and even if Blizzard were to release an old soldier quality cinematic of her devouring screaming orc children would still insist that it was somehow going to turn out to be 'for the greater good' in the end. For me, I really think the two faction system has served its purpose and is just stale and stupid by this point and other than 'warchief goes crazy/evil' they're really having to strain credibility to make it flare up again when the two sides keep having to work together to fight some potentially world-ending threat. The game NEEDS a big shake-up in order to keep it fresh, and maybe allowing players the choice to finally play neutral characters or make any race either faction would solve that. Lore-wise I don't doubt there will be people who refuse to accept a permanent alliance or merger between the two so we'll probably have Sylvanas escape or leave with her loyalists (She might be a raid boss but I highly doubt they'll kill her off).
Suddenly find this video, great! Agree, we do not need horde and alliance, we need to be together\0/ Imo, this should've happed instead of WoD: old gods, Zandalar, Kul-Tiras. Jaina got some love and logic from the devs sicne 2009, yeeah! Her arc in 8.0.1 was the best thing ever. It's much better than her irrational neutrality that she broke in MoP. Yes-yes, blood elves did it first, but for some reason she suddenly decided to help the Alliance even after her great speech. Why? And Thrall after being Mary Sue finally becomes Thrall. Hope Sylvanas will not die, she must suffer forever in the Maw.
If they get rid of factions, i dont think the alliance will be allowed in horde cities and vice versa. I still feel like they will obviously have sanctuaries, but how will world pvp work or bgs work if they get rid of factions. And obviously leaders like Gallywix and Mekkatorque hate eachother. I want Thrall to be Warchief again tbh.
I'm still going to pick all the Sylvanas loyalist choices but I'm not gonna pretend she isn't the villain. I just like RPing my undead warlock as an asshole.
i like the idea of getting rid of the factions. A counterargument to it, though, would be the Alliance vs Horde is a core component of the game, since Classic, but I don't think that'd be that much of an issue, considering that Classic is literally right around the corner, so anyone who complains would be able to go to Classic and keep going with the whole Faction War thing. But, that idea seems to be dying and seems like it has been dying ever since TBC, where other enemies were brought into the fold, like the Legion, and the Scourge, Deathwing, and all that jazz. So, getting rid of the factions isn't that bad of an idea, the past 5 expansions, excluding MoP and certain parts of BFA, have been nothing but external enemies, that isn't Faction vs Faction. So, maybe this is for the better future of the game. Everyone seems to be accepting the idea.
I would also challenge the notion that the faction conflict and forcing separation of the factions is a core component of the game. I think the core components of the game are leveling, getting better gear, doing raids, dungeons, pvp, battlegrounds, ect. You can still have all of that while allowing cross-faction communication/raid participation. As for World PvP? Just keep the War Mode toggle but change it to like "Peace Mode" or something. When it's toggled on, you can talk to the other faction and group with them, and when it's off, it's as the game used to be.
@@necroxisz Yeah, I suppose. I guess it's not really a core component of the game, but it did have a lot of influence in Vanilla, and previous Warcraft games. It's always had its influence on expansions, but maybe now it's time to change that, where both Horde and Alliance players can communicate, and do dungeons, raids, quest together in neutral zones, turn War Mode on and off. I think it'd be a pretty cool callback to Varian when he was still Lo'gosh, and fighting in that arena.
So we're just going to ignore the fact that Saurfang was the mastermind behind the invasion of Ashenvale that led directly to Teldrassil burning and Baine apparently is off the hook for any wrongdoing as well because he returned a corpse? How the balls do you justify the removal of factions after Teldrassil? Do people seriously not see how Teldrassil (and UC) was the point of no return?
Saurfang was the "mastermind" but it was Sylvanas' plan all along and Saurfang had no plans on destroying Teldrassil and slaughtering thousands of civilians.
@@necroxisz What Saurfang's intentions were is irrelevant. He planned the entire invasion up until reaching Teldrassil (because holding the tree full of civilians is SO MUCH BETTER then burning them alive). He continue to follow her lead until she started using the tactics of raising the dead on her own troops. Suddenly that was too much for Saurfang. Not the civilians that burn to death, but necromancy. On Horde soldiers. He, along with the rest of the Horde leadership, have blood on their hands for this whole war. They are all complicit here. Hand waving all that away and saying "but it was all Sylvanas" doesn't change their role in all this. And if the end goal for BFA was to remove the factions entirely, then nearly wiping out an entire population is the worst way to go about it.
His intentions are not irrelevant at all. In fact they're the most important, most relevant fact here. The Horde invading Night Elves lands was bad but the thing that is the actual genocide is what Sylvanas did. What she ordered to happen. It's the thing all the characters are talking about. None of the Alliance characters are saying, "Oh dang invading Ashenvale was bad" they're talking about the death of the thousands of civilians at Teldrassil.
First of all let me be clear I am NOT a Sylvanas fanboy,I appreciate her character and her story but I dont think my judgement is being clouded by anything. I dont agree with what you said about "What more can Blizzard do to show you that Sylvanas is a villain". In my opinion they are doing kind of the opposite,sure there have been instances like Teldrassil ofcourse where she seemed like a villain but at the same time there have been so many other instances where its obvious that she knows more than we think,the fact that she knew exactly what was going to happen in Nazjatar for example,her smiling after Anduin and the others made it out of her trap in Undercity,her talking about how the war is apporaching its peak and it will take its final form soon almost overshadowing the true battle coming against N'zoth most likely. Now ofcourse that doesnt mean I am right,I could be completely wrong and she could become a complete villain but I really dont think that is the case,she probably saw something in the azerite that the books didnt mention or something else happened to her that we dont know and since then she has this big plan she wants to fulfill. I would like to see a redemption for her and the things she has done but not one like Kerrigan, maybe one where she eithe dies for the sake of the Forsaken or something similar. But I digress,like I said I think Blizzard gives us enough subtle clues in the game,the books and the short stories that point out that although yes Sylvanas has done some terrible things,she didnt do those things just because she is an evil crazy banshee but she has something else on her mind.
Even if she stops N'zoth, which would be such a crazy nonsensical plot, that doesn't stop her from giving the order to slaughter thousands of civilians in Teldrassil because she was butthurt Delaryn didn't break.

@@necroxisz Could Sylvanas be working with Azshara to stop N'Zoth? Azshara only bargained with N'Zoth out of necessity to survive. I'd wager she's been trapped down there with him and she wants to be free of his dominion but needs help. Maybe Azshara warned Sylvanas of the Old God threat and orchestrated the events leading up to this. That's how Sylvanas knew that the blade would lead to Nazjatar. The plan could be to trap N'Zoth in the blade. There could have even been a deal made where Azshara told Sylvanas to attack Teldrassil as she wanted revenge against Tyrande and Malfurion for what happened 10,000 years ago. Perhaps all of this had to play out in order to save Azeroth from N'Zoth in the end.
