Then again most fans of Oasis I’ve ever met have all been a bunch of soppers from down south all buying into the hardman image cause they’ve never seen it before, and all trying to act manc. Me listening to Oasis has nothing to do with where I’m from after all you do understand the idea of what a hit is, there are tons of people who know more about the Beatles than me and have never set foot in Liverpool. I’m a big fan of Oasis for the record, along with a few other manc bands, I’m just not an idiot who genuinely believes all musicians are the hard fuckers they act like they are. I’m basing my opinion purely off the fact that he always used to chat shite about how ‘he’ll have ya’ and then the only time I’ve seen him be involved in actual violence out clubbing in Manchester he famously got both his front teeth knocked out, same my summary was he can’t be that good at fighting. We might know fuck all us scousers in the eyes of everyone else, but we do have some minor authority on violence as a people, in theory and practise. So take our word that somebodies full of shit or don’t and keep wettin yerself everytime he looks down the camera.

G N Fair enough, I’d agree with that and his charisma being big factors in his intimidation of most record big wigs, radio jockeys and southerners trying to wear some scuffed up Adidas and parkas and calling themselves Mancunians. But on a serious note people should just say that rather than he’s some heavyweight who’s famous for scrapping around Manchester.

I agree, Liam was a great frontman and had charisma. But Morrisey, Johnny Marr, Ian Curtis and even Ian Brown beat him as far as Manchester is concerned.
