I am a Republican, and this debate was painful to watch. Anyone who has watched a friend or loved one lose over time to dementia has seen the looks and speech patterns exhibited by Joe Biden. I watched my dad deteriorate over the course of about five years before he finally passed. Seeing this in the supposed leader of the free world was frightening. We have reached a point where it’s time to take the car keys from grandpa so he can’t drive anymore, but in this case it is the nuclear football, and our nation is truly at stake. It is time, as much as I don’t want to see it happen, to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Joe Biden from the presidency, and then let the chips fall where they may.
