Wow this is INSANE. Can only imagine the G-forces he was subject to. No wonder he said he'd never do this again, but when you're going twice as fast as everybody else I guess you do what you gotta do.
@@derherr8498 he was subject to around 5 Gs (spaceship take-off level) while inside the New Gens, that have a tendency of giving racers concussions for minor impacts. This was a massive Hail Mary and if anything the wall made it more dangerous for himself.
@TheCraigy83 You'd be surprised what dudes can naturally do. Also prolly not the case here but if you train your voice, ie keep doing the high pitched stuff through puberty, then you can still do that stuff on command later. At least I think, thats based on memory from what my dad told me like 3 years ago so take it with a grain of salt.
I think the greatest and most important part of this move, is the recognition that weve been doing this in every racing game out there. And there have surely been friendly arguements across friends whether its realistic to pull off or not, well heres the proof that it is ;)
Yeah except in a video game you aren't pulling 5gs and aren't risking hitting the gate. Even with the safer barriers there is still a gate in that corner. Chastain has some balls
As a Denny Hamlin fan I was so excited thinking that he made it into the championship 4 but at last moments Chastain made that smart move that made me respected him some for the crazy stuff like this he did for Trackhouse Racing
For those who are interested. The reason it looks like he's going super fast (when compared to other recordings) is because this person recording accidentally did a "pan whip", which is where the camera quickly points horizontally following the subject in frame. It makes them look like they're moving faster than they would had the camera been still. It's done a lot in action moments in movies, especially fight scenes.
Wasnt Ross also the same driver who used this move because he played a lot of racing games when he was younger?? Because if I remember correctly, (not sure if it was him or a different driver) when someone asked him how he came up with the idea is because he remembered it from a videogame he played, and after that, that move became forbidden etc.
The moment that had MILLIONS more people tuning in to nascar, including myself. The sad part it is... the greatest move in nascar history.... but it will never be seen legally again.
This will forever be the greatest move in nascar. I’m glad it was banned afterwards because we don’t need that every race. It was THE single greatest move and blew everyone’s mind. I watched live and rewound 50 times trying to fathom. Insanity
Yes, he was a QB for the Green Bay Packers and is currently a member of the New York Jets, 2 teams in the National Football League, or NFL, for short....
They've been doing that since the mid 40's...what they haven't been doing is going through 3 and 4 at twice the speed of their fellow competitors while riding the wall and matted...
I sat right near this i was too busy recording bell tho as he’s one of my favorites and locked himself into the final 4 with this. U can see Ross fly by in the corner of my video tho
Arma reforger and gray zone but look into the system requirements because they can be taxing. Another one I have been wanting to get into is arena breakout which is free actually it’s diet tarkov basically
And thats the day nascar had to make a new rule, no video game tactics on the track 🤣 been waiting my whole life to see someone finally do that move in real life, i did this in gran turismo in the oval ring and set some insane speed records
Wall riding is ill-advised, both in real life and in video games; for the former, you will be damaging you vehicle, while the latter can penalize you by reducing your speed.
People are so excited watching grown men run up and down Fields playing with balls. Imagine their reaction when they discover their dog does the same thing in their backyard
No, normally we're taught to say- "WTF!" or "WTF! DID YOU SEE THAT?!", even when the other person obviously did. On a side note. That guys balls pulled so far up into himself that his testosterone evaporated and he became an instant TRANSformer.
There's absolutely NOTHING exciting about NASCAR @ Martinsville Speedway.. Sadly it was the first and second race I ever attended. They don't get up any freaking speed. Nothing a car out of my driveway wouldn't do. Boring as hell
😂😂😂Your car in your driveway wouldn't accelerate up off the corner like those, would not be able to run half the speed through that corner either. Would not have the braking needed either. You are clueless lol. It is a short track and a slower track but before next Gen car the races where awesome. Your car out your driveway would not carry 65 to 70 center corner speed and def would accelerate up out the corner to roughly 115 mph. Your car would be more like 50 through the corner and 80 entering the braking zone assuming you actual know the feel of being in the edge of your grip limit which I doubt judging by your comment. If what you said was true the race teams would have 6 engineers working for them and doing all the r and d they do.
@@racegrubb2152 it's still boring as fk compared to Daytona, Charlotte, Talladega. Ohh and by the way you don't have a clue what kinda car I drive. But my nephew works for Richard Childress and my dad works for Wood Bros. One of my best friends is Matt Smith NHRA 7 time super stock world champion. I'm North Carolina loser. We invented NASCAR. and Martinsville sucks
@@racegrubb2152 Pretty sad when you have to compare my personal everyday street legal vehicle. To NASCAR lol. I know those cars can hold steady at 200mph but you'll never see it at Martinsville slow ass track 😂. Sounds like you're clueless. I was there I know how bored I was. Hell I went to the parking lot and sat in my truck for 2 hours. I would have left if I didn't have other people with me.
@@ROCKO633 that wasn't my point. Is your IQ above 80? My point was your street car at Martinsville wouldn't be able to compete with those cars. Is that simplified enough for you?
@@ROCKO633 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure they do hahahahahah. Talladega and Daytona are a joke. Tapered spacer bs pack racing is a joke. I don't care what car you drive, either way your car isn't going to run the lap times Nascar runs at Martinsville lol. If your family actually worked at rcr or wood brothers I think you would understand that concept. My uncle is Christopher bells Criew chief 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Put it to bed it is now 2024. I liked the way Ross held off and totally passed of Logan and Blaney to win the last race of 2023. The 2 biggest crybabies and aggressive hazardous blockers in NASCAR ever. Blaney could not even put the bumper to Ross to wreck him and everyone behind him. Signature PENSKE move. If you are really a "CHAMPION," try passing clean. No special privileges because you are a playoff "PRIMADONNA"! That is why the car has no horn in it, guys. Honk the horn and play the radio.....that is why NAS does not allow you to drive the space shuttle.
This is nascar? why are they driving so fucking slow.. is Ross the only one racing? I'll go back to WRC now where european men with small mustaches full send it the whole race, and not the final stretch of the last lap.
It's a half mile short track with tight turns. End of straight they are around 115 then in the brakes hard and running through the center of corner in the edge of grip limit trying not to unbalance the car and spin. You would be slow as hell or backed in the fence in no time. There are all kinds of different tracks. Short tracks may look easy but they are tough. A lot of throttle control and being very smooth under pressure
@racegrubb2152 yeah, Martinsville is a lot slower due to lower banking, Bristol they are about 20 MPH faster going into the turns and come off the corners at around 108.
@@PaperBanjo64That's awesome, that is on my bucket list. I have been to Darlington, Charlotte, driven Charlotte 3 times with dale Jarrett racing experience and with Nascar experience, been to Richmond, New Hampshire and Martinsville. Want to get to Bristol soon and the Daytona 500. Gonna try and go this year to the Bristol night race. I hope anyway
Just a bunch of stupid people racing around in a circle. They could kill someone or themselves. AND they have. But that doesn’t stop us from racing. Return to your safe space, and leave the fun and glory to us.
