@@ligma212 Someone who is bi is always bi, regardless of what kind of relationship they're in at the moment. While it's true that a lot of bi people will use "gay" as shorthand, it's a common misconception that their orientation changes from heterosexual to homosexual. Granted, I don't expect Crowder to comprehend, let alone come to terms with any of this.
No one should care about his sexuality. Everyone should care about his treatment of his pregnant wife. If dudebro treats his pregnant wife like that, how's he going to treat other pregnant women? Homeboy is a Batman villain.
K. Just to be clear. So if u make a joke about a straight or so-called straight person. being gay or being on Grindr. That's funny or an insult how? Because he's homosexual? What's the burn here? His marriage failed and he's having sex with guys? And doing that is somehow wrong? Imagine being such a bigot and getting so many thumbs-up by other bigots who think u made a joke COngrats.
My favorite white person name is TINSLEY-she was a Real Housewife of NYC for a while. Her ex-husband was named "TOPPER" ".Even better are the unpronounceable and indecipherable names of Elon Musk and " Grimes " kids. White people would never make up names!
@carole2403xqv1 "Tinsley" is such a tinny word, like "litterbin" or "newspaper". "Topper" on the other hand has a woody quality to it, like "caribou", "gorn", "sausage" or "erogenous zone". Anyone got a bucket of water?
I mean even a name like mine which is relatively ancient, was still just made up at some point. Someone a long time ago just thought it sounded cool and named their kid.
"Guys, there's more rumours about me being a closeted homosexual. What are more signifiers of masculinity I can use?" "Geeze, chief, you got just about all of them. I guess you could go for an even tighter muscle shirt and grow a mustache?" "Genius! Now nobody could ever think I'm gay!"
"Laphonza" is obviously derived from the Latin/Visigothic name Alphonsa meaning "noble and ready". Her name has dropped the "al" element, which means "noble", and replaced with the common AAV prefix "La" meaning "the". So Laphonza means "the ready".
There is a history of this type going back to slavery. The house negro often identified with the massa over the field workers. It's about acceptance into the circle, even in an inferior capacity. It's about proximity to whiteness. And in this day and age, it's about getting paid.
They don't see themselves as that. But Crowder sees them as such. You know? The pliable ones, the "good ones". Until they disagree with him, then they're back to being negras.

Especially after everything that came about him and his wife. I don't care if someone is speaking the facts or is exposing the secrets of the government... If I find out they mentally and emotionally abuse not just their wife... But their pregnant wife... I'd never take anything they say literally and always have disgust towards them.
I see the perfectly reasonable mistake you've made here. Steven isn't rocking the 'divorced dad' stache ..... he's modelling the wannabe 'gay pornstar' stache.
He Sam can u throw that female next to u some of that good good? Cause she seems super miserable all the time. Would it kill her to smile once when not being a pretentious shrew? Tell her man to give it to her better cause she is obviously not getting it properly being that miserable. I feel bad for those who must interact with her
For them…not at all. You heard one of them say “Jesus Black people” like they aren’t Black. They are literal proof that Black people aren’t a monolith but speak as if they are.
My gf was discouraged by a pastor from naming her child Miguel as a baptismal name because it wasn’t biblical 😅, despite Miguel being the Spanish variant of Michael. It could be argued that Miguel is probably closer in pronunciation to the Hebrew or Aramaic than is the English version Michael. I’d had a similar conversation with a woman complaining about why Spanish speakers didn’t “call on Jesus” with his proper name and instead used “Hay-Soos” which I tried to explain is probably closer to the Aramaic than is “Gee-sus” or “Gee-sis”. She didn’t know what Aramaic was😢. So much for the historical knowledge of too many USA Christians. Btw, Aramaic is the language spoken in ancient Palestine at the dawn of Christianity.

Crowder being just being racist is generally my expectation of him, he cant seem to ever even have a dislike of anything without some sort of additional racist reason for it.
i think he genuinely believes the racist shit because a coward like crowder can probably count on one hand the number of times he's interacted with a nonwhite person and because he's such a gump he probably got clowned hard and he bears a deep grudge over being exposed.
Hodge, twins used to do workout videos, and I guess at some point they realized how easy it is to grift from Trumper’s, and Maga world. I mean that really is a formula for making dough, sell out your values and make offensive commentary to own Libs.
Questlove & Black Thought from The Roots produced a pre-school show called Rise Up Sing Out for Disney Plus, and there’s a song where the characters explain the meanings of their names. One character is named Rogerniqua, and she explains that her name is a combination of her dad’s name and her aunt’s name, but “it doesn’t mean anything”. Then another character says “I think it means that you’re really loved!” And I thought that was so beautiful and a great message for kids (and for ignorant adults like Crowder).
OUR CULTURAL TIES were totally severed so we don't have the benefit of being able to pass down cultural names. We were FORCED to assume the name of the plantation owner. So forgive TF outta us for creating some sort of cultural identity with names that WERE NOT STAINED WITH OUR ANCESTORS BLOOD.
Can he update his black imitation? That wasn’t good in the 70s. But in all seriousness why is Crowder so preoccupied with us? Did he have a mean black landlord or school teacher? What gives?
His only experience with black people comes from watching reruns of "good times" or 'the Jeffersons" on days he skipped school and smoked a lot of weed. The forced laughter made me feel uncomfortable. Watching him is weird because I usually feel a little pity when I'm cringing through a comedian bombing , but not when he does. Making fun of someone's name? Talking the way racists think black people talk? I can't believe you can do that and be a millionaire--that's how desperate the right is for people, and the best they have is well.....not good.
Does he also think all Irish names are actually in Irish? Because there's a very good reason why they aren't. It's whatever some bigoted WASP could be bothered to write down. Stephen Watts Kearny, U.S. Army officer who conquered New Mexico and helped win California during the Mexican War (1846-48). He doesn't even have the proper Anglicized version of the surname, prob because some other WASP was lazy and dropped the second e. The Irish version would be Ó Catharnaigh. Same with all the American place names, which either use Kearney/Kearny. FFS, even Crowder could have the same thing levelled at his surname. In Wales and in English counties bordering Wales, the name may have been an Anglicized form of the equivalent Welsh crythor 'fiddler'. Or versions of Dutch/German surnames.

As someone who isn't from the US, the African American vernacular is one of the things that I admire the most about black Americans. No matter which corner of the country they're in, they mostly speak the same way. That's a story of resistance and refusal to adopt an identity that was imposed on you. Unfortunately, one of the things that break my heart is knowing that they're the most religious group in the whole of the US. As someone who comes from a society that follows a religion introduced by colonizers, though not by force, I refuse to accept any morality that comes from or brought by a group of people who practiced slavery. No way. As I always say, I refuse to worship a god who couldn't find anyone other than slave owners and colonizers to deliver his message of salvation to me. So, I'd urge African Americans to infuriate racists like Crowder even more by ditching the religious ideologies of his slave owning ancestors. At least make it your own and mix it with a lot of pagan elements from the traditional religions of your ancestors in Africa.
I'm just throwing this out there: Christianity was forced through conquest & alliance on much of Europe. If I'm not mistaken, Lithuania wasn't converted until just before Columbus landed in the new world.
@@PMickeyDee Well, I can't speak for other people. I'm a black person so I can only speak about the experience of black people. Moreover, there's nothing that compares to chattel slavery. In my opinion, if god was real he/she/it would have made slavery the ultimate sin. But in practice, the slave owners were using the bible to justify their heinous crimes. Having said that, as someone who is non-religious, I welcome any person or group of people who realizes the profound inconsistency, to say the least, in oppressing and conquering others on one hand and claiming to be god's messengers on the other. I'm just saying in the case of black people, particularly within the context of the United States, the hypocrisy and inconsistency is much more evident. So, in my opinion, black Americans should be the least religious, if at all, not the most.
@@Adam-nw1vy I hope my comment didn't sound like I was trying equate something that was done long, long ago (i.e, somewhere between a millenia to 600 years ago) to what people are still living with today. I was just going with bey fun fact since _most_ people don't realize how Christianity was actually spread across Europe. It's also extremely ironic how slave holders used their religion to justify their enslavement of Africans. Back yonder when it was spreading across Europe one big reason rulers adopted it was often the fact that being a Christian state meant that other Christians wouldn't be allowed to take other Christians into slavery. Most AA slaves either were Christian or converted - yet somehow they & all of their descendants were inferior & subject to enslavement. It's incredible the mental gymnastics people will deploy to justify their own deeds.
My biggest gripe with modern lingo. When the most liberal people complain about "the libs" I cringe into myself so hard that it creates a black hole that destroys the universe. Libertarians complaining about liberals... Ugh.
I am a Black American with a “made up “ name. It makes it easy for employers to discriminate against people without even seeing them. So, I gave my daughters more “traditional” names that were also gender neutral.
Is it just me, or do other people find themselves having to check when a video was posted because it feels like I've seen all these things happen before. Like, didn't crowder do this same thing like a year ago?
Now all I can imagine is the button on his desk as his co-hosts are riffing too long. There’s something really sad and insecure behind those eyes. I’m sure Crowder regrets that he can’t grow a mustache over them too.
BTW, Crowder should try that black voice in a small town...like Brooklyn. Oh, and with the Hodgetwins right there next to him laughing like they're doing in a studio. And with no security. Man...I'd PAY to see that.
Don't forget about his collapsed chest, which he fixed with cosmetic surgery, which then led to his lung collapsing and him missing the birth of his twins. That's funny too.

The name "Steven" apparently comes from the Greek word "stéphanos", which means "wreath" or "crown". So it's literally the result of someone misspelling another guy's name.
not to mention...how is being named after a crown any different from his hypothetical of being named after the Fonz they're both essentially "I love lamp"...though arguably being named after an inanimate chunk of bejeweled metal is the worse of the two
@@Quantris”an inanimate chunk of bejeweled metal.” This is a real dumb take my guy. Wreaths are steeped heavily in symbolism. They were work by apollo and were associated with his characteristics. They represent status, we’re used in changing season and fertility rituals and are/were a deeply rooted cultural symbol. Naming somebody after a wreath and naming them after the Fonz are not the same. You’re being ridiculous.

And news flash, we don’t know Swahili anymore than Steven knows some random European language, but I’m sure he’s practicing German in his Duolingo app.
I used to think black American names were kinda silly but when you actually think about it, it's heartbreaking stuff when you consider the history of being sold, transported to another continent, made to work for free & given a foreign name that passes down your lineage from there onwards. Your experiences make you who you are & you probably don't know your genetic homeland any better than your average white American. You ARE American, but you're a certain kind of American who's formed your own culture, & then people say LaQuesha, ShiWanda, LaFonz, huehuehue.
Most Black American names are actually antiquated old English, French, and sometimes Gaelic and Italian names (which is a lot of times where "La" comes in). Delroy/Delray = French Tyrone = County in Ireland Marshant = French (Merchant) Diamante = French Jamal = Arabic Jovelle = Hebrew Etc.. White Americans also originally used those names, but stopped using them after black people adopted them.
Most black people have English surnames. They don't know their family name. It was taken from them. Brown and Martin were their enslaved ancestors' owners name.
Disagree, Stern did punch down a lot, especially in the 90s. Regardless, he was an interesting personality who had talent and was funny. Crowder has never been any of those things.
Howard Stern was always making fun of mentally challenged people. Look into a guy called Beatlejuice. He exploited him for years along with plenty of other unfortunates.
