This is somehow the first AMV I've ever made. (Is it still called an AMV when it's not anime? The general consensus is yes.) Song is Origin of Love by Mika.
Humans weren't ever meant to feel love, or anything akin to it; Adam and Eve were too bitter from the deceit of the serpent and their banishment from Eden for that to ever be feesable. But, when the Principality of the Eastern Gate gifted them the flaming sword, humanity remembered the warmth of love. Onward from then, Aziraphale and Crowley unwittingly worked as portrayals of uncoditional love, for humans they were a brazen example to follow. These seemingly eternal companions were and are humanity's origin of love.
I'm not over... well, any of this, several days after first stumbling across it. But I'm especially not over Crowley sauntering in time with the opening piano.
HHH THE ABRUPT SWITCH THE BOOKSHOP FIRE WITH THE LINE "without it im drowning" REALLY FRICKIN KO'D ME IN THE HEART AHHH also i really love 'lets push their stories aside, you know the origin is you' and how it was edited!! like, the first actual love in the world wasn't adam and eve, it was crowley falling in love so frickin quickly and aziraphale soon after lol, well, at least the only love that has ever persisted for that long, i've always loved mika, and so many of his songs fit az and crowley so well (staring at the sun, and tomorrow are good ones)
It's such a great song,that including the edit, really helpt me trough some tough times. Let's you feel again. You know this by now but i have to be a smart ass its mika . Although their are other versions
well done! Notice how in almost every scene, Aziraphale is right, Crowley is left? Except driving (because of steering wheel) and in The Globe. In that first scene, they actually cross each other's paths after getting out of the car to get on the other side of each other
That's because the left is traditionally the 'evil' side - sinister is another word for left, left-handed people were considered evil and strange throughout history, etc. Devil's in the details with this show!
I'm not fooled, they are the true origin of love here ...... they are so cute that it is exciting to see them with that musical jewel in the background
Imagine at the beginning. Read Mark Twain's "Eve". When Adam awakens, he finds a new roommate. They are of one blood, one bone, one soul. Then, along comes the serpent and the damage is done. There is a glass pane separating their souls. Yes, they see and hear each other. But the internal melody has perished. Perhaps that is why life is such a struggle...we can never go back and redo that error. Which means we have to work twice as hard to get messages through.
