Please enjoy this poorly edited video i made because i'm soft. This show made me fish out my old editing software from my old broken computer and edit my heart out until 3 AM just because i Needed To, so whatever that says about me
Can you believe this random video on a dead channel got 5k+ views and 1k likes in a single day??? this fandom is amazing. i guess we all needed the softness
I believe it, I just found this fandom recently and I am completely obsessed; highly annoyed I had to order the book as my local shop was sold out, but I have the show and fan videos so I think I'll survive.
Nibsvids This fandom is the best hivemind of Gay softness and acceptance like it’s so heartwarming and everyone here is just so memes and lovely like literally the only true discourse we have that isn’t instantly resolved by love and passive-aggressive comments is the top and bottom discourse.
Has anyone noticed that after Crowley suffers Aziraphale's loss, he becomes even softer than before? Even after getting his angel back, he's still soft af. I just, ugh
It’s so sweet. He’s lost his best friend (husband) and he’s so so upset. Don’t mean to be morbid, but I’m glad he used that thermos of holy water before hand. So, naturally, when he gets Azi back, he’s probably so desperate to be back around him.
Crowley’s “I lost my best friend” voice crack will always break my heart. Basically the entire time he was talking to Aziraphale in that scene is just....soft and sad
I like to think that Crowley being soft to his angel is why a) Aziraphale is never scared of him and b) Aziraphale knows that the threat of never speaking to him again will work, because part of him must have thought "how would Crowley threaten me?" and the answer wasn't with violence. I'm so glad that this is a relationship that doesn't let one person get away with acting horrible to the other with the excuse of "being a demon."
what a great point! yeah, "enemies in love" trope can get rather dark. I much rather prefer such soft relationships too! Atleast, for now. No judgement to those to like dark romances tho.
I think that's a major reason why so many of us love the miniseries so much. Neither of them was ever toxic toward the other, and tension between them was based on their situations rather than just one character being a jerk. It's a refreshing thing to see.
OMG, yes! And the fandom is so freaking wholesome and soft, too. It's my first time wanting to engage with a fandom, and I don't think there's a better one it there. :)
Every time Crowley calls Aziraphale an angel, I die a little bit inside, because I know, that Aziraphale thinks he is calling him that because he's literally an angel, but Crowley just really wants to call him his husband, but can't.
I’m rather bummed we didn’t get Aziraphale calling Crowley “my dear” (in a very platonic, Victorian way of course). But then I imagine that term delivered by Mr. Michael “Captains This Ship” Sheen, and realize they were being merciful.
@@riti184 one time a guy said me that Neil Gaiman (idk how to write his name) said that they are together. He send me the link, but I don't get interested in that bc, canon or not, they are together. It's obvious
Oh that lunch at the ritz scene in ep. 1. Crowley is just STARING, straight up staring at Aziraphale the entire time, while Azi is making all kinds of "oh this dessert is so good" noises.
It is impressive how much emotion David Tennant can put in just the corners of his mouth. His eyes are obscured either by glasses or contacts, which can severely limit an actor's expression, but man, he makes the most of his little smiles, frowns, scowls, all at the tiny edges. Skillful and adorable.
@@neszi3 Sorry if I came across rude. I was just saying in case they didn't know is all. Thank you for informing me about this and I will stop commenting this considering it has been bothering me. ☺️
Hey also I noticed- When Aziraphale was relating the story of THEIR beginning in the airbase you could fucking hear the tunes of the theme song in the background being so soft
I think the Emmys doesn't like David at least He also never got any nominations for gracepoint or Jessica Jones or any other TV performance And I don't understand how can anyone not like Tennant?
@@mandime4798 THAT IS WHAT I IMAGINED! Azz just casually walking in the flower room and everything blooms in strong colours and smells wonderfully and he just takes a deep breath while Crowley stands in the door to the livingroom with face like "yeah just like that mate?"
I mean...would it be entirely 100% pure if two 6,000-year-old pining gays were in the same room in the same house with eachother? You THINK something dirty won't happen?
Granny isn’t homophobic or anything she’s just very religious and doesn’t always get other people’s interpretations of the Bible. But I think I can explain this well enough to her for her to get it and laugh at the jokes
@@berkleypearl2363 - Don't give up, though... 😇 My hubby *showed me* one of Randy Rainbow's parody videos yesterday...could've 'knocked me over with a feather', I was so pleased. 😊
Clearly a demon who didn't really "fell" more like "hang around the wrong people" - Aziraphael's softness is only matched by Crowley. I don't take any criticism 😤
and the most that in the whole clip, Aziraphale just say something like "that is so sad" or what, like he does not count himsel as Crowleys best friend!!!!!
@@danaondrackova3431 Since they are not together all the time, maybe Az thinks that Crowley's got this whole other life, where he hangs out with demons and does fun stuff with them. So he maybe thinks Crowley is talking about loosing his demon friend. 'Cause Crowley probably never told him "You are the ONLY friend I've got". Maybe Az can't believe Crowley could be interested in being close with someone so nice & pure and not get bored. 'Cause Crowley is a demon after all...
@@lisamikky1696 and most sadly, Az does not think of himself as good enough to be Crowleys best friend! They survived thousands of years together and he still has doubt!!!
This is the beauty of Crowley though. They were both supposed the be these lowly little angelic soldiers. Crowley learned a very long time ago to think for himself. He hung out with the wrong people (which ???) for a bit and rather accidentally became a demon. And Aziraphale knows, he knoooowwsss he needs to think for himself, but he has seen with his own eyes what handing out with the wrong people (*cough* Crowley *cough*) can do to a person/angel. So he's just a bit more soft than is strictly allowed. They are both SO SOFT tho. This fits in with the idea of angels well enough that people there aren't any repercussions for Aziraphale at first, even though he is most definitely not the right kind of soft for Heaven lol. Crowley, in the meantime, pretends to be a BAD demon, but really he's just a bad demon because he is just so fucking soft. He doesn't even have to actually lie to his superiors because they're a bunch of nit-wits. They never meant to rebel, it just sort of happened because they are just so fucking soft. I honestly love that softness is celebrated for once. And not just celebrated - sensitivity and love actually saved the world from dying. Kill me, I'm in love.
Softness & sensitivity celebrated for once - that's a good point. Indeed, while Crowley is a demon with snake-eyes, we never ever see his "dark side". We just assume he should have one, at least at first, but does he? The most aggressive thing he did was pressing Az against the wall and yelling at him for daring to call him "Nice". Was that a bit too close to the truth for him to admit it even to himself? Demons shouldn't be nice! Sounds a lot like "real men/ladies never do that". You don't have to be a demon to understand how hard it is to be not what everyone expects you to be, not belong anywhere, not have someone just like you for support...
@@lisamikky1696 that scene made me strongly think about a Belgian comic called Mélusine. In a strip, Melusine was complaining about having to clean a room, while a small demon was complaining about not being allowed to be nice. Then he gave her the broom she dropped and she thanked him, saying he was very nice. The demon got suddenly scared, then he literally turned into ashes. I wonder if this universe has a hell that is as strict as that.
We can see this when he tells that he can't kill kids or in the lockdown video where he tells that he doesn't have a heart for practice bad acts while pandemic
Crowley on a day to day basis is basically just "I have no idea why I love this angel, wth. He's such a dork. Tickety-boo?!" *Aziraphale smiles* "Oh right, that's why."
Plus, did anyone notice when they each got kidnapped at the same time that Azir as Crow said “rickety-boo” after he fell? Which basically gave away that they switched prior & only checked out each other’s respective bases to be bait before meeting up for ice cream!!
Oh, god. This relationship dynamic is adorable. I figured it would just be another love hate kinda thing frenimies sort of deal with lots of bickering but somewhat mutual respect but...no. Like, there's not even that much unresolved sexual tension between them. It's just love. Just pure and simple love. GAAH!
What I love the most about this show is they don't need to say "I love you", kiss, hug or any other physically stuff to show their love you can just see it in every corner of their faces if they're looking at each other and feel it in their interactions. But I hope a little, if there's gonna be 2nd season, that they make a little cute "I love you" scene. I mean the authors already said that they're a canon couple in the series and the actors said they acted like one and I just LOVE this fact.
"We will win, you know." Do you think the reason why Crowley smiles so fondly at Aziraphale is because he thinks by 'we', Aziraphale means 'you and I'. And then, when Aziraphale says something in the lines of 'Yes, heaven will always win over hell', it's the reason Crowley suddenly gets cranky. Maybe I'm overanalyzing things idk
0:20 Such a bullshit reason to get bae to spoil him 😂 He adores Crowley's little gestures of kindness and loves provoking them out of him by being soft af.
It gets even better, once you realise, that Micheal Sheen also did play Hamlet (Not in a movie, but on stage. And he voiced Hamlet for a radio show as well.)
@@Faefire Didn't Tennant also do Hamlet on stage? I thought he did. In any case, it really seems like Azi is totally wanting to help the actor on stage and Crowley is judging the shit out of him (the actor, mostly, but Azi too, just a little.) XD
I just love how there's romantic music and in some of their softer scenes. Not just at the church, but also in the gazebo and when they're sitting on that bench talking about his bookshop. Like there's a soft little romantic guitar melody. 💜
it's so sad that azi doesn't realize crowley meant HIM when he said he lost his best friend. because a few scenes before, crowley hung up on him with the excuse of an old friend being in town, and azi doesn't know crowley thinks he's dead :(((
I'm late to the fandom but I see a lot of comments where fans say Crowley calls Aziraphale(Azira) "angel" because of the endearment meaning it has to humans. I would like to add in their first meeting, where Azira mentions he gave away his flaming sword, Crowley says Azira can't do anything wrong because he is literally an angel. Crowley got quite a positive reaction from Azira from that bit and I think that's where it started. Crowley calling Azira an angel, not because he is an angel but just to make Azira happy.
These two are so in love that I keep coming back to rewatch the show again and again. And the best part is I feel so loved whenever I see them together.
each video showing Crowley and Aziraphale being soft and loving with one another makes this world a lot brighter than it already is. Thankuuuuuuuuuu for the treat ^_^
The best part about that end quote where they're toasting 'to the world' is that you know that each of them is absolutely 'the world' to the other, so in essence it's like they're toasting to 'us' and themselves being in a relationship. It's so heartwarming
noooooo it took me like 15 minutes to make it through this cause i had to keep pausing and yelling and going back to watch the same bits over and over again god he's so in LOVE
I love how in the Hamlet scene angel looks happily at Crowley and he ever so slightly shakes his head no :D the same he does when he shushes him at the air base :D
spoiler alert it’s because he thinks aziraphale means we as in he and Crowley together on their own side but then aziraphale goes on to say that heaven will win :(
I'm blushing and smiling at my phone and i'm getting strange looks from passersby and all i want to do is to stop them and give them a shit speech about ineffable husbands lol
I got pulled over by cops a few nights ago, because I accidentally kept swerving while trying to replay the Good Omens animatic put to "They're Only Human" from Death Note: the Musical. Next thing I know, I'm practically fangirling to the one cop saying, "I've only seen half an episode, is it THAT good?" And I'm sitting there, with a stupid smile on my face, gushing about how this wholesomeness has been helping through my anxiety. Weird encounter, but now I can say I was attempting to convert cops that stopped me to watching Good Omens. 😂
The last scene reminds me of this comic about another fandom I saw: "I'll tell it to the whole world! *whispers* I love you." "Why did you whisper?" "Because you are my world."
At first I thought these two were going to be the typical duo of best friends who look like a couple but are not (yes, I'm talking to you Sherlock Holmes >:( ) why it always happens, but getting to the part where Crowley hits it the books 0:48, god, the background music, Aziraphale's gaze and Crowley's soft and sweet "left Home" changed everything, they are the most beautiful thing in the world 🤧❤️
They are so in love, so bluntly flirting, so bluntly amazed and adore each other that I just Im so soft. They are my gay celestial dads and I love them so much 😭❤️
