Of the dozens of Christmas movies with a similar plot (a simple citizen woman meeting a prince/king over Christmas and marrying him at the end), this is the VERY BEST. Great script, excellent nuanced and solid acting. Danica McKeller has great comic chops. The little girl is also right up there with acting talent and charisma. This is a movie one can watch again and again.
I absolutely ADORE the "gala" part where Miss Ellie dances with her "father" and he spins her around ... She seems to let go of herself as an actress, and for a brief few seconds, is a little girl in the arms of a man who makes her really feel like a princess ... This is a precious movie, all the way around. We both own the movie, and watch it every time it comes on The Hallmark Channel! Lipizzaner?
I just watched this 5 or 6 times this season my all time favorite tears me up at the end ever time this movie is awesome Danika is my favorite the entire acting crew blends so well so balanced and a great story line trying to get it on dvd quite expensive this is Danikas best ever. My second favorite came in at 2020 A Timeless Christmas with Ryan Peavy love Hallmark year round but Christmas is extra special.
It's true.... beautiful movie. Honestly, even though it's a comedy, I love the "Message". The King learnd to be a better Father and a good "Lover" too!!! Hahahaaaa
O meu filme de Natal favorito. Já perdi a conta de quantas vezes assisti. Danica & Rupert perfeitos nas personagens, sou fã dos dois. E Ellie Botterill, na minha opinião, é a maior estrela inglesa do século 21.
Ellie is amazing! I've always loved Danica, ever since her Winnie Cooper character in Wonder Years. Rupert has got to be the sexiest man in Europe. Pavel and Emma should be married in real life! Great movie! The whole cast was superb. Yes, we need a few sequels!

This was my favorite movie for Christmas but now it has become my all time favorite movie movie my little grandson comes in from school and turns it on.

@@jeanalexander4101, Danica Keller is leaving one part of Hallmark and I am so glad. She’s such a Fantastic and Classy Actress. Candace just said something that is not appropriate in Public in my opinion even thou I have been married longer than her and her husband. Some things are meant to be for just you and your husband privately.
cet acteur mérite mieux que des romans photos et des potiches! lui faire jouer sans limite le héros romantique est une erreur! Seul le "persuasion" est à sa hauteur. Il mérite d'autres rôles que de jouer "le prince charmant " de bazar!
