Crown Princess, 16-day cruise to Hawaii, day 8, Kona Hawaii, Greenwell Farms Coffee tour! 

This is a great way to show us how to adventure on a budget, the traps are the budget buster. Great video, keep up the good work.

Kona is my absolute favorite place in all of Hawaii. My son got married there. we didn’t cruise. We flew there of course. But thanks to you it was nice to see it again.

I live about a 1 minute drive from Greenwell Coffee Farm and take all my guests there. Every time I learn more about Kona Coffee. Also Black Sand Beach (Punalu'u Black Sand Beach) with the turtles is a 2 hour drive south of Kailua-Kona, so you would have been on the road for 4 hours. There is a beautiful small boat harbor less than 5 miles north of town with lots of turtles as well. The park, in back of the harbor is called Kaloko-Honokohau National Park.

Always great to meet people from a same area!! Small world indeed!! Indeed, the tender boats can be a bit of a hassle...especially if the waters are a little rough! But it did look like you had an amazing day!!

Eldin, dont be sorry!. This was great.. We're gonna be in Kona 2 days on the repositioning, trans-pacific cruise we're doing in April .. It's essentially our only stop. You provided some great info here that I'm gonna research for our time there, so thank you.. BTW they call the boats that take you to shore - tender boats.. when you stop in a "tendering port".. It definitely takes way more time. But with some of the larger ships in the Caribbean, they bring out larger ferries to get people off the ship. In this case, you went over in Princess' life boats. In other words, it's not always as slow, but definitely slower!
