Feel like being an O/O is the only way to go....I'm planning on buying my own truck but it won't be for the money, but the freedom to park the truck when I want.

I’m doing so good as a company driver. This really puts things in perspective. I’ll take the headaches for being micromanaged. Benefits and wages puts me at a higher wage in all honesty. Owner operator sure is more fun though
Glad I ran into your channel. I started in 1999 during the Qualcomm era & stepped away in 2008. Came back in 6/2021 to try it as an O/O running under my own authority. It’s been hectic running P/O so I’ve been looking at CRST flatbed. I dig the clear cut no BS old school trucker info videos. Remind me of my trainer in 1999 who started in the 70’s😂😂😂😂Thanks💪🏾
I’m a rookie and i love the way you break things down. But from where I’m from if i can make 6 figures a year i feel that’s rich or wealthy I’d say. No jobs around my way paying that. And the Army damm sure didn’t. But anyways keep it coming. Thanks
Yes you are correct. You do it what you need is ok but to become rich this is not for you. I feel you and I get you. Better off playing the lottery if you want to get rich. But you will become poor anyway because you do not know that money is a tool and you need to know how to manage it.
taking advantage of tax breaks and loopholes is what any sane person does in any business it is not illegal you can bet NO POLITICIAN IS GOING NOT TAKE EVERY ADVANTAGE
Same as everybody else my friend, investments, 401(k) , Social Security, (you still pay into that) etc…… I personally have a 20+ year teamsters pension waiting as well… But that’s a great question because most guys fail to do that, another big thing you’ll have to find is medical and life insurance for you and your family. I pay somewhere around $1000 a month for that, those items are tax deductible though and we’re part of that $40,000 worth of other write off’s I mentioned

Obviously you can’t beat that pension but I wonder if you were young and had good company Match would you suggest staying company rather then freedom of owner op with no company match perks? In fact, I’m gonna sit down and make a video right now about this very topic, thank you for the question and the idea for the next video…
