I purchased my 20FV300 new from Circuit City on sale back in 04. It sat in storage for a decade until I started my retro gaming setup. Still looks brand new, and one of the sharpest pictures I have ever seen on a 20" consumer CRT. SNES games look amazing on it through component.
Just found the channel today, love the content! If I could offer a bit of criticism, it may be worth giving the sound a little more attention as the volume spikes in a couple places like the intro graphic and outro. Look forward to more though!
That's awesome man! Wish my Trinitron had the s-video in front also along with composite capture in rear. REALLY nice score! Almost make want to go on another crt hunt for this bad boy especially if I found it in 32inch. But nevertheless I'm happy with my 32inch Sony Trinitron crt (2003 I believe). Great video!👍
I do have a SONY PVM-14N6U that has an S-Video output to split the signal from my upscaler... I capture my gameplay footages using the Retrotink5X PRO with splitting 2 HDMI outs, I'm waiting to get my SCART Matrix to get 2 monitors displayed on my set up and still record gameplay footage with a cheap HDMI USB capture card to OBS
What would you say a good price point is for one of these? Some old guy in my complex was just throwing it out, and i figured I would ask someone who knows what they're talking about
WOW! You are a true CRT Junkie. 😂 I like the 27s. 20 is a bit small for me but I suppose it depends where you're putting these. How do you like them so far?
Found a JVC AV-30W475 in good shape on the curb and decided to take it home nearly destroying my back in the process, do you think it comes close to tv's like these?
Better magnet placement may work. The smaller sets are less prone to real noticeable bowing, from what I've seen. Like 20" and under. It also depends on the set tolerances. Some are better than others.
@@RetroGameRarities you gotta post that. Dirty groove on that one. Would absolutely use that in one of my sets. Who would have thought I’d run into an old school jungle head on a video about crts.
I found one of these and it looks so good and I love the speakers but the geometry is really bad . Anyone know someone around San jose ca that can fix these ?
@@RetroGameRarities exactly. The first one is 2005 and another is 2003. For some reason in the first Trinitron logo is in the left down corner and second tv Trinitron logo is in uper left corner. And one more thing, does Europe (Pal) version come with scart socket?
@@marinchildofkorn7798 Gotcha. These are both Wega sets. The FV has more tech packed into it vs. the FS series. I also don't know about scart on Euro sets, I'd assume so.
Hey I have this tv and I love it. Idk if anyone knows how to fix this issue sort of bothers me but it has a white line right on the corner on the left side. Some people told me that it’s the geometry that needs to be fixed but I’m not sure about that.
No, that's a loop I created. I'm a jungle DJ from back in the 90s and still produce tunes here n there. I left a download link in the description if you want it.
@@rickalbuquerque1205 does it upscale the signal to 1080i? I'd guess it won't work if it does that. But if it does true 480i output without upscaling, it'd be worth a shot trying it out. Post here with your findings!
