An absolutely crucial positive affirmation is that when you go through this process it completely reverses all the bad choices we made with food and exercise. They've done extensive studies on this. Imagine two people at 40 years old. One person is an athlete, the other is morbidly obese. Provided neither one has any health issues. The 40-year-old morbidly obese person can engage in a weight loss and exercise lifestyle change and by the time they're both 50 can be in identical overall health. Duke University has one of the great studies on this. We have in no way ruined our lives by the choices of our youth. Start today!

Good for you! I am a therapist. I have also lost over 90 pounds and have been seeing someone clinically for over two years. It is so important to process all the changes! Glad you are able to be vulnerable and give us the real story of this journey. I myself am on a big stall, and have started gaining weight again. My doctor is moving me from Wegovy 2.4mg to Zepbound 10mg in the next month to see if that makes a difference in terms of appetite suppression. Please continue supporting us! You are amazing!

✨🌟⭐️💫I truly believe in the power of prayer!!! 37 lbs to go for my 100 lb weight loss journey. I started on Wegovy over a year ago but I’m now on Zepbound and seeing great results. Praying the Lord continues to elevate you and give you a higher platform to help others. Continue to keep God first in all things.

*Love it,* Elizabeth. 🌟 I’ve said it 100x before, but the mental side of all this is SO VERY important. So many ppl with obesity have depression, have PTSD, have been abused, have body dysmorphia, have eating disorders. And on and on. 😢 So yes, dealing with those things is so crucial, and for reasons that may *include* the scale, but go so very far BEYOND the scale. And I thank you for sharing your therapy experiences with ppl - it is helpful, it does help ‘light the way’. Many thanks again. 🙏

So timely! I’m on the struggle bus lately. I’ve barely budged lately. Stuck on 7.5 another month because of side effects. But I’ve decided to love myself through it. It’s a tough time of year since it’s back to school. But I feel more hopeful than I have in years. ⭐️

I am 66 years old and have been overweight my entire life. Even during childhood. I am so happy that Wegovy has helped me lose 53 lbs and I have gone down 4 pant sizes. The struggle has been my whole life. I have tried so many diets and none were sustainable. While I am so happy I am also struggling with weight dysmorphia as well as some sadness because I wished so much I had this opportunity earlier in life. I do talk to a therapist every two weeks but I am still struggle. Thank you for being honest and real.🌟

⭐️ I think this is my favorite video from you...the mental navigation experience of this shift is some major stuff!!! Have you heard that song from the Eagles "After The Thrill Is Gone "? "What can you do when your dreams come true and they're not quite what you'd planned...." Going on these peptides, for a person who struggles with sugar addiction or binge eating, is an enormous change of brain landscape...and to not have the food preoccupation can almost lead to a desperate anxiousness "now what do I do"? But I love your optimism, "Lift through the doubt, walk through the confusion. . ..keep doing the right stuff and the epiphanies and revelations of the new you & new world will come...." And with enough consistency, the bigger life questions become part of your mental dialogue...they're no longer foggy distant platitudes, you start to feel in the driver's seat of your dreams. And your body will begin to support you more in chasing these dreams.

I have made changes in my food habits, I’ve changed the size of my serving dishes, small plates, small bowls, but….i still eat very fast!! Next conscious eating habit is definitely going to be savoring!!! Even though I eat fast, I still do not overeat, but I need to slow the eating process and savor! What a thought! I need to enjoy and appreciate what I am eating. Not just fueling my body. Great video!

This video is great. Thank you for being so real and vulnerable about your mental & emotional journey on tirzepatide. There are so many facets of this that people who have never been obese cannot possibly understand. They see the more obvious, outward parts. It is so much more complex; what we've gone through that wasn't our fault, but we didn't realize it. Many of us shamed ourselves, and kept eating, or yo-yo-ing our way along, adding more pounds & in my case, self-hatred. Worrying about what I saw in the mirror each day. Knowing that I could've gone farther in my career if I had been in a healthier place physically AND mentally. I could've been a better wife, Mom, a better sister, aunt...a better friend. The mindset piece is so deep, and having a therapist means you don't have to go to that place alone. I know it would help me, and I thank you for the encouragement.❤

⭐️✨thank you Countess! I am only about 3 months into my MJ journey, for both T2D & weight loss. Your videos and the FB support group have been lifelines for me! It seems like whenever I have a hurdle to overcome, you post a video or it’s addressed in the support group. My weight loss has slowed significantly in the last 2 weeks (I’m on 5.0) and I really needed a pep talk to convince myself to stay there and not move up yet. I want to stay on 5.0 for a few more months before going to 7.5. This video had me think of a few different things to try, a few more tools to add to my toolbox. You are an inspiration to me and to many others!

I’ve been following you for months and months and found this video one of the most valuable to me. I’ve been on a Tirzepatide compound since December 9, 2023. I’ve lost 40 + pounds sw 186 cw 145 gw 125 All but 2 pounds were lost in the first 3 months. Talk about a plateau? I resonated with your comments about getting what you’ve always wanted. The illusive weight loss. Now that we have it, is it all it’s cracked up to be? Yes and no. Does it solve all our problems? No. Can we accept that we are worthy? Tricky one. Is it worth it? Absolutely. I’m stuck big time here with no scale movement. This video is helping me realize that I need to try harder. It’s been too easy. I’m pretty sedentary and I’m thinking that’s a big part of a shift I need to make. Thank you for your insights and being upfront with your struggles.

⭐️ Hi Countess, Thank you for the tips on weight stalls I have recently been at a stall for 4 weeks the same 1-2 lbs we’re going up and down, and I just stuck it out and finally it changed, I’ve lost inches and my clothes have been getting looser every week. So I went to JCPenney and tried on like six different pairs of jeans in size 14 and 12 I used to be a 16 and to my surprise I now fit in a 12 I still can’t believe it. thank you for all your encouragement in your videos and for sharing your feelings about how you are now getting attention that you didn’t experience before GLP1 meds. When I began Zepbound two weeks ago, I thought I’d be on it maybe three months lose what I need and get off it and maintain. Now, listening to you, I realize I could be on it a lot longer. Like a life time? Never thought for life but I see the reasoning behind needing it for life so we don’t gain it back. I wonder if it’s possible to maintain without continuing to take it and maybe the company can lower the price so more can afford it.

If u have never been obese u will not understand but i agree 💯 percent. Ive frantically searched seat size in planes and measured my butt to make sure ill fit before flying, looked up amusement rides on youtube to make sure they were pooh-friendly and people my size could fit in a seat instead of holding up the ride or getting kicked off, clothes planning for a trip used to be a nightmare bc bigger clothes meant i needed more than a carry on bag, etc…. So happy to be down 44 pds, traveling again and not having to think about these things anymore!!! We got this ❤️

I know you’re not a healthcare provider but, even having this positive, encouraging, informative content is a great FREE tool. Today, I had 45 minutes of my hour strength training session. Overeating is a THING. I ate entirely too much on date night Wednesday…I still felt it this morning (Monday). First time having a vomit reaction *** 🚨 TMI Coming *** everything I ate from Wed-Sun came up.. Felt awful, but took my time and did a lighter workout. ⭐️Elizabeth, I’ve got to share with you what I consider a nsv for me personally. I do not and have never had food issues. I’m on this medication for T2D and I had no idea what food chatter was. In fact, often times I’d forget to eat because I was so consumed in my work. Anyway, being on this medication has educated me on obesity and the issues those who have that disease face. I’ve learned so much about looking at life from the perspective of someone with obesity. I never knew their challenges around food and never feeling full and I certainly never thought about their daily physical challenges. Thank you for opening my eyes a little more to other people and what they go through, especially since obesity is such an epidemic in our world today. So not only are you helping me with tips and tricks on my own GLP1 journey, you’re helping me see another point of view and that’s always a good thing when you learn about other people and what life is like for them.

⭐️⭐️I can relate to so many things you mentioned in your video and I thank you for having the courage to talk about things such as overeating. Emotional overeating has been what I've relied on for so long. Food is truly a problem in my life. Even though I'm not losing weight like I want to, it helps me so much to see and hear about your journey. I tried therapy, but for some reason it didn't click with me. I need to do my due diligence (phrase I stole from you) and find the "right" therapist. Please keep talking about the therapy side of things or as much as you're comfortable with sharing. I'm looking forward to trying the Biometrics protein powder. I have the Biometric magnesium pills also, but have not done a good job of taking those daily. I try to take one in the a.m. with my other medicine, but always forget to take another mid day or at night. Congratulations on your weight loss and being able to keep it off. I hope to be in that same boat one day. 😀

What my life looks like when I get to goal? Those are things I really need to ponder and write down. Gold Star to you for being amazing! ⭐️🌟

I am definitely going to remember the input and output aspect you mentioned, think that will help me in all aspects of life, not just weightloss but also in my job, thanks! Great great video ❤🇬🇧

🌟 Amen! S.A. has wreaked havoc on so many of us... which has been a contributor to my weight gain, weight loss, and the regain for years. With God's help, I power through. And now with the other help, Zepbound, maybe I can keep the weight off once I am at goal. God bless and prayers to you and yours!

How did you decide on your goal weight? I have seen where you don't need to use BMI, others by your muscle and age. I have a doctors appointment next week and that will be a discussion.

After I gained 70+ pounds over the last several years, it was so sad that I would turn down invites to parties and dinners, traveling to see friends, etc, because I didn’t want them to see me with all the gained weight. Yes, I know they love me no matter what, it was still so embarrassing for me. I’m down 45 pounds and am getting little by little more comfortable seeing friends and joining events. So thankful for the shot to help me get here. And thank you Queen!! 👸🏻✨⭐️🌟💫

I have seriously considered therapy in addition to Mounjaro but I have many questions. The most important question (to me) is…can therapy really teach one how to overcome the constant “food noise” and “mental harassment”? My mind was constantly tormenting me and it’s exhausting. Mounjaro was such a Godsend that for once in my adult life, my mind felt at “peace”. Sadly the torment returned when I had to briefly stop Mounjaro due to the shortage but I’m now back on it and feel better again.

⭐️ 🌟 💫 I have been feeling out of it for a few weeks. Stopped tracking my food because I felt I was hyper focused on that. I see my dietitian tomorrow (have not seen her for 2 months). I don’t know if I should track my food. I am slowly losing weight, on average 2-3 pounds a month the last couple months. I am on my first dose of 10mg zepbound. Been on this journey since 12/29/2023. Starting weight 207. Now 165.

🌟Totally relate to your testimony. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. Exciting to see how God is working in your life. Working through a stall myself but feel great and not even down about the stall. MY stalls usually are my body getting use to where it is at then I start moving again as I continue to adjust. Just had my birthday this weekend and love that I am at a size that I haven't been since high school. My bad relationship with food was for protection and control as well.
