They're more useful than you think. In a pinch the strong ones make a passable stepping stool, and I say that because they easily tip over when used like that. You need to be balanced on them for them to work like that. The storing capabilities are excellent of course. They're very useful.
Mike was actually right with the second type of plastic he suggested. HDPE aka High Density Polyethylene is what they make milk crates (and incidentally, milk jugs, bleach bottles, motor oil bottles, and several other containers) out of. Alternatively, there's also UHMWPE. The PE part is the same, but UHMW stands for Ultra-High Molecular Weight. Basically it's HDPE on steroids. You could probably make car and/or gun parts out of it.
My favorite game to play as a child was at the grocery store called "Squishbread." Basically I would run up to bread and squish it because it felt cool and would stay that way. My mom had to pull me away from the bread.

It did say stab wound to lower back and i had a jacket with a thin Metal plate worked in the back so i got Hit Look at my card and Go I am not going to do this my Drill Sergeant did yell at me and i said okay droped my gun but my hands to my Butt and started yelling how I got stabed in the ass my Drill Sergeant didn't ever forced me to act out a card if I didn't want to
So my mother walked by my room as I was listening to this. As soo as Zach said “so what’s wrong with Zach?” She looked at me and said “Yea what is wrong with you Zac?” Wtf.
Let me tell you from personal experience, sturdy milk crates are very useful. One underappreciated way to use them is to zip-tie them together on their sides to make shelving units.

I feel like I connect to Zach's frugal nature on an intrinsic level. My family's been using our milkcrates for nigh on 40 years now. I took a far longer amount of time to learn to shut my mouth. I was a narc well into High school.
Milk crates are the best. At my job, we use them for storage, step stools, and seats for breaktime. They are one of the greatest inventions of humankind.

One of my highschool classes also had us do the paper pass around compliment thing and theres 2 things I really remember about the paper i got back. 1. About 80% was things about me having nice shoes, or being quiet 2. There was one person who wrote something along the lines of "I wish you were a horse, that way I could always ride you" and I never found out who wrote it.
The pots and pans my family had growing up were a set my dad got from the dump because someone just threw away a brand new set of cast iron pots and pans worth like $300 today and my dad still has them like 25 years later.
Honestly I would have done the same thing. 30$ is a LOT of money and you're not only NOT spending that on a fucking milk crate but you're also RECYCLING. That's just good sense both for your wallet and for the planet, period.
I went on a cruise during high school, too. Sea days were the best. I'd go up to one of the decks and there were these like, rocking couches. The suspended ones. So I'd lay in one and read a nice book with the breeze blowing by. Man, that was awesome
Milk crates are amazing. Growing up poor we used them as shelving and storage, for gardening in the backyard, as stepstools, makeshift tables, even make a rectangle perimeter of them and get some flat wood from home Depot and put a mattress on top then you have storage AND a bed. Hell, to this day my brother still has his bed on milk crates and wood, and we've had those milk crates for almost a decade and a half. Maybe two decades. Milk crates are the most Versatile object of humankind. If theres an apocalypse, milk crates will be the currency Edit: mother actually had those milk crates before I was born and I'm 22.
Whenever I see milk crates I stack two or three up and use it as a chair. After about 10 minutes it hurts, but if you put a blanket or a pillow on it you'll be fine.
Milk crates and CinderBlocks yes. Further proving that Bethes-tec and other developers have no clue whatsoever how people would build/rebuild/repair things after an apocalyptic event. None of the structures in such games make any sense :/ Sadness. :c

Instead of a milk crate, I saw a nice looking office chair in an alleyway while running some errands with my dad, so when we saw it, we were like, hey that's a nice a chair. My mom had the same thought when she found out about that chair. But I cleaned it up, yet was dumb to not check the bolts if they were tight or not so it wobbled a lot, still served me well for 1 to 2 years till it broke on me lol.

If someone smells nice to you without deodorant it means that their immune system and your immune system are very different, it's a way of telling who to mate with to have kids with longer lives and stronger immune systems. I recently learned that and that's why your family smells bad to you.
I used to be incredibly quiet in 4th to 6th grade and we did the same thing as mike at 4:00 and that’s all I got was how quiet it was,in fact my teacher bought us all frames so we can frame it.
Second story was the same as me and my sister but I was the quiet one when she was born 3 years after me. So I'm tempted to join the army out of high school to continue this going
Awesome! Here in the Austrian Military we also have a similar Laser Tek system called DuellSim. But it has a built in speaker which tells you what injury you have. Plus it works with a laser module attached to the muzzlebreak of the gun, and its activated every time you fire a blank. So its actually somewhat realistic... but yeah... no tubal pregnancy for us :-(
