I have the old and new installed on my Samsung Galaxy 9, absolutely no problems with either app. I just installed the new app on my Samsung Note A tablet and it's working fine on there as well. We cruise in 30 days, can't wait!!
Old app and new app works well. For shoreside credit card, we weren't comfortable going through an unknown third party company. So, i used a visa giftcard that had just a little on it for a place holder. It worked and we are green lane!
I guess my questions are: 1) do I need to be completely booked in order to select my dining? I'm over a year away and Im told I can reserve dining now but I can't get it to work. 2) do I need to complete booking in order to get my medallionship to me?
All my dining and excursions came across from the old app. Yesterday I booked a specialty dining on the new app and it worked perfectly. My loyalty level is correct. I had no trouble with the new app. I am in Australia.
So far so good on the new app. The only feature missing is adding Travel Companions like in the old one. I blew it and forgot to make additional dining reservations for the later days on our trip. Will have to wait in line.
Allison, the new Princess App is great.... I love what it does. It gives you information before you cruise & you can choose between entertainment & dining....but the only drawback is it doesn't' note what MDR is anytime dining or fixed dining everything else is perfect.
Thanks Allison! I need to update our passport pictures sometime soon. Hopefully I can still use the old app to change the passport pictures before the old app disappears. (Mari)
Thanks for the tips Allison, they are very helpful. I'm in Australia and about to go on my 1st Princess Cruise next week. I have managed to update my package via the app but so far it is not showing up in my information. Also worth noting that in Australia and New Zealand there is no option to have your medallion delivered to you. I also wanted to flag that when filling out the check in details, if you don't input credit card details for shore excursions (which by the way, is not an available service on this side of the world) it will not mark you as having completed the check in. There is no way to decline the shore payment option. Very frustrating!
Hello Allison, one of the features we liked on the old app, though could be improved, is to be able to message and locate other guests. This new app does not seem to have it, or I have been unable to find it. Can you provide some guidance on this function?
It's not just you, on the new App, your Account Summary is not available (to see what charges you have incurred daily, and to make sure it is correct)... no r the Find My Husband/Friend/Party - either... Those were both available on Old App...but nowhere to be found on the new... hopefully will be updated to include, as they were 2 great things to have.
They finally have my status correct however, my husband's still shows Platinum. We will wait and see! Otherwise no issues. I can't wait to hear about your Sun Princess cruise! We will be sailing her in December! Excited!!🎉🎉
Hi Alison re: the chefs table our travel agent was able to book it for us well before we board. We booked and payed for it in Dec. Our cruise isn't until August. And the app seems to be working well except I can't get the update.
I noticed in our medallion orders it shows the correct loyalty. Just not in your profile. So at least it’s correct somewhere in the app. Thanks for all the great info on how to maneuver this new app. My old app still works too.
I have both apps installed on my Samsung S20 and both are working. I had everything booked and entered on the old app. My next cruise is Feb. 5 on the Sapphire. We'll see how the new one is on the ship.
Gonna give Princess a try. Their packages are a bit confusing though; included usually means you're not going to get charged for what is included. I got the Premier Package and was still charged for the 2 specialty dinings. Not to worry though, I was told I would be reimbursed in 7 to 10 working days, that was three weeks ago. As this is my first cruise with them I'm getting a little apprehensive. I've called numerous times and management seems to be as illusive as corrective solutions.

They are available on the old app under travel checklist 😢 The Princess website is not working well, and I’m not able to access travel documents there😮No worries, it will be me, my passport and a carryon arriving at the port. That’s all I’ve needed in the past. I show up at Pier 27 around 10ish😊
The new app shows the cabin number but I don’t see any reference to what deck it is on. I think it would be nice if that bubble that shows your cabin number was a button you could click that would take to the location on that ship’s map.
The first letter before your cabin number tells you what floor. Go to Journey…Explore the Ship map Three dashes at the top right takes you to a list of the deck levels. Your stateroom should have a check mark next to it. Voila!
New app still has issues--trying to get to green lane but can't get beyond residency just spins and spins...very frustrated. You call princess and they say we will be working on it....been days for same result HELP
We're booked on Princess July 10th to 17th Anchorage to Vancouver. Can I ask you about Flying out of Vancouver to go home? Princess csr tried to sell us a 5hr shuttle drive to Seattle Airport.??!!

I'm really not happy with Princess at all. I had ordered the Medallions on the old app. When they changed over I found the order was gone. I reordered on the new app.. I hope they come before my cruise on the 27th (Sky Princess. We are traveling with two others. It is their first time on Princess. I made reservations for us to dine together on the old app. It disappeared. They somehow left two on the the reservation. I called Princess. They said that I would have to change it onboard. Princess screws it ups and doesn't giver a damn about fixing it. You would think they would go out of their way to make things right. Two strikes.
I downloaded the new app, works great except my cabin and package was incorrect, I called princess they told me all the updates have not gone through yet. But other than that, I made reservations for dinner with no issues
We don't even have a cabin number listed nor the premier package has us with the level down---l also have another cruise and that whole cruise won't let me out of the blue lane as freezes on residency!!!
Hi Allison, what I don't see in the new APP is an option that gives me the day-by-day trip calendar where you can see the excursions and booked dinner.
Be careful when booking specialty dining. Prices are different on the new app compared to the old app. Both are working for us. $20 cheaper on the old app.
I am able to log into the new app with my email login. I am also still able to log into the old app, and it seems to work okay. The new app still does not show my cruise for next year, only the one that leaves next week. I am Princess standard, but have OBC so thought I might book a specialty dining, but it wouldn't apply my credit. When I booked my shore excursions prior to the new app, the website applied, my OBC. Oh, and even though I received my medallion by mail yesterday, the new app still wants me to order one. Fortunately, I am still green lane. Once I get on board next week, I will try to let you know how it is working.
Did you touch your picture in the lower right of the screen? It should then show your other cruise. Also when it tells you about ordering your medallion hit order history and it will show your order status.
I called Princess about using OBC for specialty dining. They said you could only do that once on board or else you are charged if you make the reservation prior to getting on board.
Loved the overview. I have my husband on my app as the travel companion. I'm trying to set up the app on his phone to pair together, but when I type in the booking number it won't let him in. How can I do this
We are boarding in a week. Everything looks good on both our phones. Have not been able to log into the Website on my computer for several days. I like to have the boarding pass on paper as a backup. My wife's phone is an older model, so hope it works. Do not see any option to print boarding pass from app other than screen shot.
I have reservations for dining booked on the old app for an upcoming trip but when I try to look for them and the new app, it does not show any reservations. I am hoping that my 5:20 PM reservations for each evening are still good, but I’m not deleting that app.
I have both apps working on my phone (Android) Has anyone seen anything about photos on the new app? You used to be able to upload pictures you have taken to have them print on a cruis template, or where are photos downloaded. Guess I will find out in 5 days.
I have both apps on an iPhone 14 Pro Max and can use both. The only issue I have is with the new app and signing up for dinning. Most times don’t show up but the ones that do I will get an error 40% of the time.
I’m booked on 2 cruises with Princess. On the old app I could pull up both bookings on my iPad and iPhone. on the new app I can only pull up one booking on iPad and the other one on my iPhone. Although my purchased shore excursions transferred over to the new app.1 small glitch on the ship map for the sky Princess 2025 February booking has deck 15 rooms miss marked should be M506 not R506!
I ordered my medallion to be shipped to my home (it should be free). Then I had to cancel old credit card due to fraud - even though it should be free anyway and no credit card required. I did add a new CC. I hate to be skeptical but wondering if my medallion won't show up (so many glitches) because of old credit card. Wondering if I should cancel and reorder - I have plenty of time
I just checked on the new app and my lotalty status shows in my profile. Not on tbe home page. But it doesn't show that I got the plus package. It said: upgrade. But that happened before, and I had no problem once on-board.
All my dining reservations came across from the old app correctly except none of the reservations included my dining companions. I had to manually add my companions (16 day cruise so this took awhile). However, the app won't let me add my companions for the last two nights. I get an error message. I suppose I can sort this out when we get onboard. Except for the first night in a specialty restaurant, all our dining is in the same dining room at the same time.
Old and new apps appear to work. MDR reservations I made months ago for the April Eclipse cruise show up on both. On the new app, I cannot find where to show "Travel Companions". My wife shows in the check in stuff but otherwise no trace of her in the thew app. Am I missing something, or is the new app?
Does anyone know how to toggle back and forth between upcoming cruises on the new app? We have two upcoming cruises but the only one that pops up on the app is the first one. You used to just tap the profile picture and it would go back and forth between cruises on the old app but not now.
Hi Paula, So far, it isn't possible to see more than one cruise at a time in the app. If you want to see a different cruise, you have to log out and log in using the booking number of the cruise you want to see. Hopefully Princess will do another update soon to fix some of these problems.
I would love to know when they will fix the issue of storing my card for external purchases. I'm not comfortable doing that, but the app won't show me as complete without it. I don't think it's appropriate for Princess to require that we store credit card information with a gaming company.
@@sheilapope5169 I tried the tip suggested by someone else; I bought a $25 visa card and added it for the shoreline purchases. It worked... I'm greenlined!
on your new Medallion app do I need to sign in every time I use it and is there a way to get it bigger when I use the app on my iPad like your old app?
1st) It is not OUR app, it is the Princess Cruise Line's App. We are in no way connected with Princess; we just talk about them alot. 2nd) I installed the App on my iPad and turned it sideways. There is a double arrow in the bottom right corner that will expand it to fill the screen. Good luck and thanks for watching!
I have the new app and it is working well for me. The main question that I have is that my wife is Green lane and I am still Blue. Is this because I do not want to release my credit card information yet for the onshore charges? I wish we could opt out of the onshore 0ption and we both would be Green lane. I had not problem getting on the new app. But I had two issues. 1. I paid for Premier and it shows me as Plus. I guess I have to go to Customer Service and show my Travel Summary. 2. I booked a Suite, so the first night we are supposed to Dine Free for the first night at the Steak House. But it charged my credit card, I guess I’ll have to go to Customer Service again. Anyone else had this problem or suggestions for me. Thanks Allison.
I'm so frustrated. When I log into the old ap it gives the link to update and install new one, which I did. It installs but I can't do anything as it loops right back to sign in. Thank goodness sailing date is 40 days away!
