Something to take note of, that I thought was interesting. Inside his head was an hourglass. Kind of interesting that he has water as his color and has a timepiece for a head. While Dante has a Clock thats on fire, as well as an outfit that matches the color.

Though, as a blatant Ishmael apologist, i feel the need to say that at 1:24:27 you're incorrect, she wanted to delay coming for this Bough on account of Limbusbeing unprepared for it yet, not ditch it altogether. Also, love Mersault being supportive at 1:20:24 totally unprompted, his personality sometimes shines though his camouflage and he seems to be a team player at his core, if not an outright nice guy. Can't wait for man's canto.

I don't know if you do requests but i have recently stumbled upon this game called Our Adventurer Guild which is a mix of Dungeons and Dragons with Darkest dungeon (Having to manage a group of adventurers with sanity and things like that) and i am personally really enjoying it but not seeing many people talk about it/playing it? Because you talk a lot about how much of a fan you are of Darkest dungeon i thought maybe you would enjoy it! Also think it has mad potential as a series because you can name all the adventurers after viewers which would be fun. Alright i have talked enough lol thank you reading

In regards to difficulty... I don't know if I'd call Canto 5 a difficulty spike as such. It certainly has *individual fights* that are considerably harder than what came before, but the same could be said for Dongbaek. Outside of those fights, given that you didn't have much difficulty with MDH, I don't think you'll have too hard of a time with those, either.

Both Ishmael and Meursault have Capote EGOs. Though Meursault's is definitely the greater one (with all the points I've stated in the previous video's comment section. PS: Regret is a Walpurgis EGO if I forgot to mention that), Ishmael's Capote can definitely be helpful later on (and its 15 SP dmg specifically may be useful sooner, rather than later) with its Wrath buffs being useful for the whole Burn team and its resource requirements being just as easy to fuel as Meursault's Capote. There's also Ishmael's Ardor Blossom Star EGO that can be very good. A natural 41 roller, it can definitely win a clash (if you have her SP high enough to land heads). It's Atk Weight alongside the Stagger Threshold raising can be very very helpful to stagger enemies, and its passive can help spread burn into the crowds upon crowds of mermaids that you're definitely not finished with. These are two HEs and a Teth, and one of these HEs and the Teth have an overlapping owner in Ishmael, so it can definitely be Shard expensive. Hong Lu is also at Uptie 3 still, but his Uptie 4 upgrades don't really help much against quick fights, cuz his Coin Power gains only apply with Burn Count, which takes a few turns to build-up on a target naturally, so you can forego with not Uptying him all the way cuz he doesn't gain much else from it. Oh ho ho i can't wait for the next episode, the upcoming fight is considered this game's Magical Girl fight, aka the trademark Project Moon vertical difficulty curve, so good luck to you Manager Esquire. It's also the moment i talked about in my last comment but i forgot just how much (really damn good) dialogue is crammed into these few nodes XD. Also the next Walpurgisnacht should specifically be either on or around the 30th since that's when the IRL Walpurgisnacht is, so you should definitely have MBOutis by the time you get to the dungeon.

So... the Middle is weak to blunt. The "easy mode" for the upcoming stretch is, basically, Liu and Nclair. If you wish to experience difficulty for the next stretch, I recommend using a different team for the next episode.

Finally, the proper Liu team! It gets really boring seeing N Corp Sinclair just run over everything. And yes, Capote are good Burn EGOs. Fourth Match Flame for Ryoshu & Yi Sang are also obviously good for Burn, as is Ishmael's Ardor Blossom Star. 🔥 Ishmael did warn about what they saw in the L. Corp Branch, the various tribulations of the Lake and so forth, including alternatives and preparing before heading out on it. This whole chapter she's been vindicated regarding all that went on in the intermission. She no longer cares about what happens to the bus crew now that they're out on the Lake, they didn't want to heed her and now that they're here, she's not going to let them stop or try to back out after she's been pushed this far. Spite tends to make people very stubborn and vindictive after all. She basically warned the Sinners of the bad things, they went anyways, realized how bad the 'bad things' were, and are going "Well how was I supposed to know?", which I can assure you, is an incredibly infuriating situation to find yourself in. Especially if it occurs multiple times... She don't give a rat's ass how they feel anymore at this point lol. Which of course is probably not the best for her or the crew. We also get a 'realized' distortion this chapter! Rim isn't Young-ji, but I think Aseah(?) from Yi Sang's memories, the one talking about venturing out into the ocean when their group was splitting up. Man, I can't wait for next time. Also yes, that thing behind the abandoned cruise ship is noticable from the get go once they board it, love the atmosphere throughout this Canto. A lot of it is fittingly haunting with fighting love craftian creatures of the deeps and such. P.S. - If you genuinely want things to be more challenging, keep your ID's 5~10 levels under the Canto's level cap, maybe even at Uptie 3 instead of anything higher. Having them at a given Canto's Level cap is towards your benefit in overcoming stories thanks to stats affecting damage taken/given & clashing power. Since Limbus Company is designed to catered to a much wider audience, the usual difficulty is dulled down overall and especially in the main Story nodes.
