Really useful information Becky. I think cruising would probably be my worst nightmare but each to her own and I'm looking forward to seeing the places you go to. Enjoy.
Hi Becky, the neck fan is a life saver when it’s hot. I put it under my hair so it cools my head, neck and face. I have a hand held fan as well but the hands free option makes it easier when carrying stuff plus it is less noticeable when partially covered by my hair. The other item is to have a small, collapsible light coloured umbrella to provide your own shade from the sun.
I have only been on one ocean liner the QM2 from Southampton to New York. It was, fabulous but I did get seasick so I would definitely recommend seasickness bands and ginger buscuits. They definitely help with sea sickness 👍
That’s the sort of thing people often forget about, especially if they’ve not experienced a cruise before. To be fair a lot of bigger cruise liners to have stabilisers now which minimise the movement BUT it’s good to be prepared in advance. I take Avomine or Stugeron tablets which helped me a lot.
@@wendywatchit yeah the Queen Mary 2 had stabilisers and was specially designed to cross the Atlantic with huge waves but it was the last sailing of the season and we hit a force 9 gale so any cruise ship that was in that would still pitch and toss. Everyone was fine really no one had seasickness except me and my wee brother my mum and dad were totally fine. It would have been so much worse without the stabilisers it's just I'm not good on ships or boats I don't have sea legs at all. I even get seasick on ferry to Scotland from Northern Ireland lol. The waitress did tell us though that on the old Queen Elizabeth they couldn't serve people with their cutlery until the meal was served as it would have slid off the table, so glad I was never on her. 😊
@@chrisandjasmine3077 I came back from NYC to Southampton on the original Queen Mary in 1964. It was in June so maybe the ocean was calmer as I don’t recall being ill at all!
5 weeks to our cruise...Magnetic hooks are fab....I always take folding clothes hanger ...Large hanger perfect for long evenings formal wear....Very strong....Got my lanyards in florida....Water proof phone holders for water based shore excursions....Excited for cruise vlogs xxx
Definitely need a high factor lip protection and where y9u can drink from a straw the condensation on the rim of the glass is a killer for burning your lips especially in the Mediterranean.
Becky face hallos are fantastic never use face wipes no....They wash lovely.... I pack easy....take make up off without drying your face great investment xx
