Oh you poor thing coping with all that pain ,doctors are hard to get to see them.the practice sounds like we’re I go bloody rubbish ,hope you feel better soon. ❤❤❤❤xxx
Hi Lynn, I’m still going back through all your videos and only just seen this one about your Shingles, oh my goodness what a state you were in, I’ve had them 3 times, first time was really painful, in my shoulder, but the other two was given tablets straightaway, mine was bad enough but I really sympathise with you you must be in absolute agony especially where you had it, I know it follows the nerve path. Well I know by now April, that you are hopefully fully recovered, and that the pain isn’t still lingering. Now I’m flitting back to your latest videos. Hugs x
Oh my word, 3 times, that’s awful, I was in absolute agony, never want to go through that ever again, I felt so let down by the GPs, they could have given me those tablets immediately. I hope you and I never get them again. It took weeks for them to go, but I’m fine now thank you. Aw I hope you enjoy my videos, and thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I had a severe case of shingles all over the right side of my face about 10 years ago, so I know how painful they are! I also looked grotesque. You have my deepest sympathies. Hopefully, your blisters heal quickly. Happy New Year! ❤❤
OMG I can imagine how that must have been, I’m sorry you went through that, and sorry it was on your face. I’ve heard of a lot of people getting it on their face and in their eyes too. It’s a very nasty virus. Let’s hope 2024 is kind to us all ❤️❤️❤️
Hello Lynn so sorry you been unwell I had shingles when I was 4 years old my mum said cried all day I am 74 now .Wish you happy new year look forward to you coming back on RU-vid lv canterbury kent
How awful for you. What a horrible ailment shingles is. Keep strong and I really hope you will soon be feeling better. Happy New Year to you and your family.x
Hi Lynn am sorry you had to go through it I had it too at the same time it is awful I have known such pain I agree it is hard to explain I was in tears xx
Hi Lynn, so so sorry for your Pain, i know how you feel as you know i have sciatica and the pain is horrendous. I have loads of gabapenton i could have given you. Only troubles is i live in Scotland lol.😂 Joking aside i do hope your pain eases quickly. You are so brave to come on your channel in so much pain, and still a wee smile at the end. I was here at your first vlog and I'll be staying Lynn. Get better soon miss . 😘❤️❤️❤️
I am sitting here cringing listening to your ordeal. I had shingles and to give you an idea of where they were I had to go to my gynecologist to be diagnosed! I like you could not dress for a solid 2 weeks. Wrapped a sheet around myself and tried not to move. I sympathize with you. One of the most painful things. I do have some nerve damage.
OMG, you poor woman, I’m cringing just thinking about it. I’ve never known anything like it, I hope you never get it again. Someone suggested putting calamine lotion on, my hubby put some on some cotton wool, the first dab sent me through the roof, he had to stop. I’m the same, some permanent nerve damage. Oh Jackie you have suffered, I’m sending you a massive hug 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
I’m so sorry to hear how ill you have been, get well soon and take it easy. I had missed you and thought something could be wrong. I do enjoy your friendship through the screen xxxx
Hi Lynn,so glad you are on the mend .that was very nasty for you ,and missing Christmas .your Video is the first one I have watched since my husband passed away suddenly on 31 st October.its taking me a while to get back to anything I enjoy.cant even listen to the radio yet.thankyou for being you.Sue
Oh Susan, it’s taken me a while to reply as I had so many messages to get through. I’m so very sorry that you lost your husband suddenly, such a massive shock for you and your family. I’m not surprised that you can’t enjoy anything, all you can do is take each day, minute by minute and allow yourself to feel whatever you feel, oh I’m sending you the biggest virtual hug sweet lady. From the way your talking, it sounds like you had a wonderful man loving you ❤️❤️❤️
Oh Lynn I did wonder if you were poorly. I have missed you. I hope you feel much better soon. I had shingles twice in my 30's no where near as bad as you but I know it's not nice. Much love and happy new year x
Oh Lynn , I’m so sorry that you’ve been through all that . I was very worried that something awful had happened but hopefully you will soon be back to normal and fingers crossed there will be no after effects. I’m exactly the same as you 67 and wondered why we couldn’t get the vaccine 🤷♀️, absolutely crazy . My Christmas didn’t go exactly as planned but that’s a long story so I’m hoping 2024 will be a good year for us all . Take care Lynn , much love xx
Oh Lynn, I feel for you my lovely……Shingles is awful. Two years ago, a week before Christmas I got Shingles…..it started on my hairline, spread to my forehead and then to my eye, I looked such a mess and felt dreadful. I had to to go the eye department because they were worried it would go in my eye which luckily it didn’t👍. Like you I can’t have the vaccination because I’m deemed too young (at the ripe old age of 67….nice to be too young for something😂). Anyway, I’m glad your on the road to recovery and don’t you worry, all your subscribers are here in the wings, waiting for your return which hopefully will be soon. I wish you a very Happy New Year and I look forward to your next video. Take care🥰
Oh sorry to hear that Bethany, I’ve been at the hospital yesterday, got another virus on top of this one, vomiting etc etc, nothing I can do but wait for it to pass ❤️❤️❤️
@@Nanna-M Oh Lynn, bless your heart, you are having a really rough time……..get lots of rest, keep warm and take care…….we’re all thinking of you and waiting for your return. Lots of cuppas needed, a good book or film………🥰❤️
Sorry to hear that you have Shingles it’s an awful virus. I’ve only been watching your channel a short time but really enjoy it. Hope you’re feeling better soon 💐💐
Hi Lynn, so sorry to hear you’ve been unwell I have missed your vlogs which I love please take care and take your time getting well we can all wait your health is more important wishing you and your family happy new year 😘xxx
Oh lynn I can only imaging the pain you have been in. Years ago I had a little bit of shingles on my shoulder like you said only about a two inch area and that was so painful . You must have been in so so much pain…praying for a quick recovery ❤❤❤❤
hi Lynn. Jut a quick note to say I hope you are getting better and will return to our screens soon. I’m sure that I am not alone in missing you. Take care and look after yourself. Much love and good wishes. Chrissie x❤
I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been so poorly. My mum had them for the second time recently and she was also in agony but the GP situation is the same for us locally but thankfully she is not too bad now. Here’s to a speedy full recovery and back to your usual happy self x
Oh my goodness what an absolute horror. Thats just so difficult to hear.My heart goes out to you.Rest as much as possible. Never worry about your channel. We shall all be here next year. Take care and allow everyone to take care of you. Please god you are on the mend.
Dear Lynn, so sorry to hear about your shingles and the stress of trying to see a doctor. I was looking for your vlogs, and was thinking go girl you must be having a wonderful time😮. We are all here for you, don’t stress come back when you are back to your old self. Lots of love x
Hi , only a few days ago found your Chanel and trying to watch as many as possible watched the one about shingles I’ve had shingles twice and the second time was like yours that’s a number of years ago and I have never been able to wear necklaces since ,anyway I’ll move on and try catching up on all your videos .l am definitely enjoying them thank you so much xx
Oh hello Joy, nice to see you. Oh the shingles nearly put my lights out, and I got another virus on top, horrendous. I can understand why you can’t wear a necklace, I’m still getting tingles, I’m terrified of getting it again. I’m so sorry you had it twice ❤️ I’m so glad your enjoying the Channel ❤️❤️❤️
Hi lynne. I have really missed you. I do feel it for you,I had shingles when I was younger and the pain was horrendous and mine wasn’t anywhere as bad as yours. I’m so pleased to have you back. Look after yourself and hopefully you will be skipping round soon . Lots of love.xx
I’m so sorry! I just saw your video about shingles! I haven’t been able to receive the ‘vaccine ‘ here in Australia as I’ve been on steroids for ‘inflammation’ for 5 years! Now I’m off them & I’ve been told we have ä new type of vaccine for it that I can have but have to go on a waiting list! Anyway what made me terribly annoyed etc about your situation is that you should have gone to hospital straight away when you were experiencing those terrible pains! Listening to your story made me feel so thankful I’m in Australia as I would have rang our emergency number 000 at least 😮 I truly feel so concerned for other people like yourself that you have to put up with such terrible medical service, in my doctors surgery when I ring them for an appointment & if no one there to help the voice answering service says ‘If it’s urgent call Hospital’ . I hope you are on the road to recovery, my thoughts are with you! And I’m making my appointment as soon as Monday arrives (it’s now Saturday 6th April) 💕💕
Oh it’s ridiculous, I can’t have it on the NHS till I’m 70, my shingles never got diagnosed till the rash appeared, may the time I got an appointment it was too late for the medication they can give to stop it getting worse, I was so bad, I can’t believe they won’t let me have the vaccine. I have a telephone appointment with GP on Monday, and I’m going to ask if they will let me have it, our NHS is in crisis, people are dying unnecessarily, it’s a scary situation. I’m so glad you get looked after ❤️❤️❤️
Bless you Lynn, you really have been through the mill. I really hope you feel a lot better very soon. A awful time for feel poorly. You sound very like me, I look forward to watching you. Take care xx
Hi Lynn I wish you a happy new year and good health 🎉❤.I had shingles in August & I'm still recovering I've seen a few drs and all they gave me is cream , a long story but i m going to see a different Dr tomorrow . Take care lots of love ❤xx
Sorry it’s took so long to reply Brenda, OMG how shocking, I still have the rash, it still stings and sends shooting pains at times, I get tummy ache and can’t distinguish if it’s from them or not, and I can’t have the vaccine till all the symptoms have gone, it makes you weary doesn’t it. I feel so sorry for you I really do. I hope this new dr sorts you out ❤️❤️❤️
Good Morning Lynn and a belated happy new year to you! I am usually just a 'lurker' looking on from behind the screen, but i have followed your videos almost from the beginning. I love your presentation and your little chuckles. You make everything you do look so easy, however couldn't let this video go (yes I did watch it till the end) without wishing you well and hope that the shingles pain dissapears soon. I can't imagine the agony. My husband, who just turned 70 in December got a phone call yesterday from our Drs making him an appointment for next week for his Jab. I am 76 and had one a good while ago. Wouldn't want to see him suffer as you have. Why does everything happen at holidays............. Take care Lynn and look after yourself. I think i must be just over the Pennines in Gods own County .. Yorkshire ( I won't hold that against you LOL !! ) All the best for 2024
Omg Lynn, what a horrid time you have been through. You’re such a brave lady. So lovely to see you smiling again. So looking forward to seeing your up coming blogs and vlogs. Wishing you a very happy new year and hope you’re back to full health soon. Love Gill. X
O no! You can see why the NHS is promoting us oldies have the Shingles Vaccination. I dont get out much either as i am now dusabled & cannot walk very much. But i have still had all of my vax. Im nearly 73..
I’ve just come across your channel. I’m on RU-vid all the time so I’ve no idea where you were hiding 😊 I’m so sorry you have suffered so badly with Shingles. I’m 71 and have had the vaccine and after listening to you (right to the end 😉) I’m very glad I had it. I’m half Lancashire and half Yorkshire but don’t know which half is which 😂 but living in Cambridgeshire now 🙁 Take care, I wish you better very soon.
Oh haha well I’m so happy that you found me at last, I’m not altogether sure how RU-vid puts us out there, still quite new to it all. Oh I’m glad you got that vaccine, and I hope you never get shingles either. Well we’re ver similar aren’t we, Lancashire or Yorkshire, lovely people. Thank you for taking the time to comment ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynn I don’t usually comment but I’ve watched you from the beginning, I love your content and your bubbly personality, I just wanted to come on and wish you well, I had shingles 20 yrs ago, it was only a small patch and was very painful so I can only imagine what you have gone through, I hope you’re on the mend now, look after yourself and give yourself time to heal. Looking forward to more videos when you feel up to it. 🥰
Awww thank you Linda for reaching out to me. You can’t explain the pain can you, it’s like torture, but I’m lots better thank you, not right but on the up. Thank you for being with me from the beginning, that really means a lot to me, stay well Linda, and avoid those shingles ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynn, I was just thinking 'what's happened to Nanna M' yesterday. I'm sorry you've had to go through such an awful time. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Happy New Year x
And the pains can continue for months in one nerve or another. I had it from my head, eye, in ear, in nose, in mouth to my chin. Inside and out right side of my face. Started with ear ache for two weeks before breakout on my chin. I took gabapentin for mine to. Only thing that would help at all. It wasn’t itchy just painful. So no outside scaring but nerve pains sometimes. You can have the shot, I thought the same but doctor said I can and I’m in my seventies. But to many bad side effect’s so I haven’t gotten it. Had the shingles when in my 60’s. Hope you feel better soon.🙏🏻👍🏻
Well it’s certainly lingering on me, I had a very large area, but I imagine that it must be terrible to have it on your face etc. agony. I’m not allowed to have it on the NHS until I’m 70, and I’m more than happy to get it, I’d rather take my chances with the side effects rather that have shingles again, but I can understand why some people might not want it. I hope you stay well and never get it again. 🙏🏻❤️
Oh Lynn so so sorry to hear you have been so poorly you poor love 😔what a horrible thing to have to go through .so glad you're medication is kicking in for you . your health is so important so don't even think about your vlogs concentrate on getting yourself better .we will always be here for when you are well and ready .take things easy lynn.sending you a big hug from me and a happy and healthier 2024for you Harvey and your family 🥰 xxx
Happy New year you and your family .So sorry you had to suffer the shingles it’s horrific nerve pain ouch my dad had it in the 80’s and had it in his head I don’t know how he coped as he was in agony his eyes swelled out his head poor thing so lots of sympathy .I also was laid up for three days during Christmas with sciatica I haven’t been bad with it for a long time have nerve damage in my foot was agony and also had to take gabapentine to which was the only thing that helped ,Inhope you are starting to feel much better now 😪❤️
Ah, poor you, that sounds horrendous and Ive never heard of a vaccine so will enquire as I remember my dad getting shingles when I was a teenager and it stayed with me as Id never seen him cry, it was so painful and he was very hard! Thanks for being so openand bri ging this to everyones attention, get well soon with no after effects ❤❤❤
Oh Jackie, it’s been horrendous, and it’s relentless, I had a massive area, please get the vaccine love, even if you have to pay, I wouldn’t wish this on anyone ❤️❤️❤️
Firstly Lynn Happy New Year….I am so sorry you have been unwell and shingles is just the worst. Having never had it I will seriously consider having the immune jab. Being the same age as yourself I understand it’s quite dangerous for our age group. Did your GP say what causes it? At least Ida saw her Nanna, bless her heart. I have been watching RU-vid everyday, but thought you were having a well earned rest. ❤Lynn and hope you begin to feel so so much better, it must be horrendous for you. Housework will be there for another day, just rest and get better soon. Of course we will stay with you. Shingles has been in the media recently. I believe you would be my kind of friend. Take care, new year hugs xx
Thank you Tina, stress and run down sets it off, it’s the chickenpox virus that lies dormant till something sets it off, and it’s very contagious if your blisters are exposed. Please get the vaccine if you are allowed it, I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, I spent all day in A&E yesterday, I have another virus on top of the shingles, never felt so ill. Avoid it at all costs my lovely friend ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Lynn, I certainly will although you have said that our age group is not included…..crazy. I know you will bounce back because all of your subscribers will help you ❤ Take care lovely lady and we will wait for another one of your wonderful vlogs. Xx
@@tinahowson8335 as soon as I’m well enough I’m going to pay privately to get mine, I’ve looked into it and I can book from certain boots or Superdrug stores. ❤️❤️❤️
Hello Lynn, oh dear…disgraceful dr’s! I know exactly what your talking about pain wise (I’ve had shingles 3 times) Focus on getting better-it will take a while (I have permanent nerve damage due to not getting the medication in time) Saying prayers for you, sending love and a huge virtual hug 🤗 ❤. Remember Be Kind to yourself.xx Happy new year to you and yours. I bet Tesco have missed you during the sales 😂🤣
Oh no Joanne, 3 times you poor woman. I have a feeling that I’m going to have permanent damage, it still hasn’t gone, it’s manageable but could have been avoided. Did you get the vaccine or are you not old enough ❤️ stay well lovely ❤️❤️
Have just found your channel Lynn and straight away I am liking it 👍🏻. I’ve had shingles twice, not as severe as you I might add, I’m 66, 67 this year and I’m going to be asking my Dr to prescribe the vaccination asap, I think there is a certain amount of time you have to wait to be vaccinated after you’ve had shingles but I haven’t heard that you can’t have a vaccination after you’re a certain age that just seems ridiculous!!! Anyway so glad that you are on the mend and I have subscribed and am looking forward to seeing more content when you feel ready 👍🏻👍🏻. Get well soon cheers for now Wendy 🇨🇦
Oh hello Wendy, so nice of you to subscribe and join my channel, I’m very grateful for that. I’ve looked into it, and if you turn 65 on or after a certain date, then you can have it, if you are 70 you can have it, but if you are in between like we are, then we have to wait till we’re 70 in order to get it free on the NHS. I’m paying privately for mine as soon as the rash has gone, it’s lingering around so I’m just praying that I don’t get it again before I get the vaccine. Lovely to see you here Wendy, much love to you ❤️
Hi, I'm new, I just came across your channel.. I had Shingles in December but not as badly as you.I hope you feel better soon 😊 I have the same issues as you with Doctors! They are so unapproachable. You have to jump through hoops to get one. Just to add, some things do knock on your door. If it's to be it will happen anyway.
Hi Margo, I’m sorry it’s taken so long to reply, and I’m sorry you had the nasty shingles too, isn’t it just awful. Our health services have gone to pot for sure. Yes somethings do, shingles knocked on ours didn’t they, there’s a saying isn’t there, what’s meant for you, won’t pass you by. ❤️❤️❤️
You can get it if you’ve had chicken pox, the virus lies dormant, and it can come at anytime, it’s also very contagious if you touch the blisters, I hope you never get it ❤️
Sorry for the delay in replying, I’m getting through the messages slowly. I can empathise with him, I’ve struggled so much with that, I had to be naked with just a very soft dressing gown on, and it hurt like hell ❤️
I agree 100 % Mel, it’s disgraceful really, it’s been torture honestly. I still have some rash after all this time. So sorry you had it twice, horrendous ❤️❤️❤️
@Nanna-M I don't want to alarm you darling but make sure you take extra vits for hair mine shredded terribly at the 3 month stage after the illness . 3 months is the normal for the hair shedding . Get the vits started now to give you the best chance
@@melevans2987 oh I didn’t know that, my hairs falling out in lumps to start with, so I’ll definitely get some vitamins, I’ll Google which I need, thank you for sharing that ❤️❤️❤️
@Nanna-M guaranteed hair drop 3 months later after illness for me . We go down this path of life and it becomes noticeable we just don't bounce back as quickly it might not be 3 months it's when our hair is growth and not resting phase . You have lovely hair
It was Sylvia, I’ve had my 1st dose, and I go back this month for my 2nd. I had to pay private, couldn’t get it on the NHS. But worth every penny if it prevents another severe outbreak 🌹❤️🌹
