Joy Reffo It’s nice to see I’m not crazy fo doing stuff like this. It’s been a long time since we cruised but whenever we did I had a day planner that I kept all our tickets and passports etc.. in and I had a written out itinerary for our travel day saying what time we had to be at the airport etc.. until we boarded. Once we boarded I didn’t need our planner until the last day and we brought back all the papers we collected throughout the week in the room etc.. as souvenirs.
19 of us are going on the Norwegian Breakaway over Christmas. I've already started my documents folder!! Great tips and I can't wait to see your vlogs from this ship!!
Thanks for this video. I already do something similar, but I like the idea of the clear plastic pouch to put my passport in to keep it with everything else I will need.
always love the info you share. I do something similar with the post cruises, also I save the "bill" that we get at the end of the cruise that way when we are discussing how much things had cost on board I can always go back to that as a reference. I have a large zippered folder (similar to the old "trapper" folders) and each of cruise folders goes into that along with a baseball card sleeve for the sail and sign cards to fit into. It is fun to go back and see the changes that have been made over the years. Enjoy your Norwegian cruise and cannot wait to see the videos and to hear your opinion (the good and bad) about it.
I'm so glad you have the three nights specialty dining package. It stinks that you have to pay extra for those wonderful restaurants but the specialty dining and the entertainment, in my opinion, are the best things on Norwegian ships.
Hubby and i are going on the ncl breakaway leaving Lousiana nov 18- 25 to belize and mexico. Its a late honeymoon and our first cruise. I saw the dates on ur folder so it looks like youll b leaving as we come aboard. We live in California so will b driving and site seeing our way to LA as well as home. We r super super excited...think ive prob watched all your videos and appreciate all the tips and packing, etc videos u guys post. Looke forward to more cruises myself as well as videos of your upcoming cruises.
Yes, we will just miss each other! Wow, you are driving a long way! Do you have some fun things planned along the way? If you need some suggestions for New Orleans, let me know. I have a list I can send you of our favorites, just send me an email at eecctravels@gmail.com
I’m going on a my first cruise in December and I’m wondering what do I need to bring when I go ashore on the excursions? Not sure if I need to bring my passport or just copies. Thank u for your help and I hope u have an amazing cruise.
Some people say to bring the originals and some say to bring copies. I think that is a personal preference. I do recommend that if you booked an excursion to bring your confirmation. Oh and the daily ship newsletter as it has an emergency phone number to call if needed.
I like everything to be electronic... no paper. So I have everything scanned as a pdf and I have an app on my phone called Docs to Go. It does not require any internet connection for viewing. I guess i could always have the chance of loosing my phone.... but the folder could be lost just as easily too. Any other problems you see with my method? So far for all my travels it has been sufficient.
@@EECCTravels Small tip when using no paper only digital. Email that pdf to yourself, if your phone gets "lost, stolen, or broken" you can still access it via internet. Lol, you can never have to many "back ups" when it comes to important info. :-)
For in the (emergency) event you need to withdraw cash. Of course never use your debit card when traveling but i do bring it with me just in case i need more cash than what i initially brought which fortunately has never happened.
We took out first cruise on the carnival Breeze in Aug. we came home and signed up for the Vista in May 2019. We are going to the western Caribbean. Is there a list somewhere of things you are allowed to bring back and how much? We only brought back shirts from our last cruise to the Bahamas.
I don't know of a list, but anything you can buy in port you can bring back. The only thing I know you can't bring back into the US are plants or fruit.
