The Regal Princess was my first cruise ship for my first cruise back in 2015. I did a East and West Caribbean cruise. Made a lot of first timer cruiser mistakes, but I learned quickly, and now have been on over 30 cruises in that short time. The Regal Princess is a beautiful ship and will always be special because it was my first cruise ever.
Thank you so much for uploading this. I will be onboard for the same 2 week itinerary as you from 18th June! Have a fabulous time. Can’t wait to see the rest of your footage from your trip 😊
I'm excited to see your trip too. We are doing the same 2 weeks on Oct 1st so will be interested. We have done all the ports quite a few times before but its always good to return or if not - have a quiet day on board ship.
I have been on the Regal twice already. Our Mediterranean cruise in September will be the 3rd… it will feel like coming home. I like the retreat pool area in the Regal better than the Sky. I will be on the Majestic in 6 days! Thank you for bringing us along.
Watching you wander around to make reservations and check in to your muster station reminded me of our experience discovering that not all things are located identically, despite being the same class of ship.
So fun to see it all again! Please tell Mark that Tiffany and Jim said hello And we gave him and his staff wonderful reviews on the survey. They were so nice to give us scones with jam and whip cream for tea time every single day that we were had a cabana which was almost every day! they took such good care of us and made our honeymoon so special!!
It has been a few years since we were on the Regal so it was nice to see her again. Some things look familiar and it seems there have been changes too. We look forward to seeing it for ourselves in November. Thanks for the video and hope you have a wonderful cruise.
Ah, this is my favourite Princess ship so far - I cruised on her last Summer when she was based in the UK. I'm booked on Discovery Princess in a few weeks, so very excited to see how she compares to Regal!
Thank you for sharing. We love the Regal Princess. We are enjoying coming along. Delighted you got your bracelet. They ran out of medium sized Bracelets on our cruise. Looks alot busier than the Royal. We were at 56% capacity. Have you found out the % /capacity?. After being on Royal and twice on Regal, think I prefer the Regal. 👍🥰
@WENDY SOULLIERE Hi Wendy, This is out of Civitavecchia in Rome. When we cruised out of Fort Lauderdale in January we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport. It turned out to be a fine place to stay.
Gill, It was about 8:20-8:30. The fee for the taxi from the central area of Rome to the port is 125 Euros so we might just do that next time. Let me know if you have any questions.
Hi Allison! It looks like you took a taxi back to the airport to catch the cruise shuttle. How much is the taxi from your hotel back to the airport? Thanks!!
@Ruth Lyons Hi Ruth, The taxi is a flat rate of 40 Euros from the central area of Rome to the airport. It is 125 Euros from the central area of Rome to the port so that might be the better option.
@@LetsGoTravelTips Thank you for that great information. I was looking at taking the Leonardo Express...You had said you took it before. Was it an option you would take again? Or with luggage was it more of a hassle? Thanks again! Ruth
No, we flew to Rome May 25, spent three days in Rome and boarded the ship there on May 28, this year. We were on two weeks and disembarked in Barcelona on Jun 11 and flew home the next day. Thanks for asking!
@bluemountain55 No testing to enter Italy if you are vaccinated. Yes, you do have to have a COVID test to embark on a Princess cruise. All cruise lines require COVID tests to embark.
@@LetsGoTravelTips Okay, thanks. Between your arrival in Rome to your embarkation in Civitavecchia, was there a designated place that you went to for testing? Or, does the port at Civitavecchia offer Covid-19 testing which you can get your results in a few minutes before embarkation?
@@bluemountain555 We took tests with us that we had purchased from eMed and just did them in our hotel room with a video call using the wifi. It worked very smoothly. They do have testing at the port if you want to do it that way instead as well as there were lots of pharmacies in Rome and testing locations set up that you can get a test at as well.
