Yes it was! Thank you for commenting. This boat tour of the Toronto Islands happened in 2017 -- my only visit, thus far, to Toronto. People ask me why in chat sections of livestreams but have temporary amnesia: There was a pandemic, and the Canadian-U.S. borders were closed. But there are other reasons I haven't been back yet, one of which is: Hotels in Downtown Toronto -- at least those few from which I absolute will be choosing -- are incredibly expensive. Folks talk about how expensive it is to stay in Montréal, but, see, I've been vacationing there frequently since the mid-aughts (except during the pandemic, of course). As you know, when you travel often to a destination that you enjoy, eventually you find accommodations that are of good (or great) quality but inexpensive. Where I stayed in Toronto for four nights (not nearly enough time) in November 2017, is in a neighborhood that, if I owned a dog, I'd be too afraid to walk him or her in. Of course, I will not divulge the accommodation where I stayed, as it's excellent, but I wouldn't want to offend anyone who lives in the neighborhood.😊 When I return to Toronto for a longer trip (depends on cat care and on my economic situation at the time of planning the vacay), I'll opt for spring or *early* autumn. I do like cold weather and snow, but as I age I know that being exposed to too much frigid temps can be dangerous for me -- at times. Where I froze the most, and the longest, was at the hop-on/hop-off (HOHO) bus stop down the steep hill from Casa Loma. As I described to Once Upon A City's Sally, I was very well-bundled-up, too. That said, I'd take the HOHO buses in cold weather again if visiting Casa Loma in late fall, early winter or late winter. I wouldn't want to explore the castle in hot weather due to no A/C and no elevator. I could deal with lots of stairs, but no air conditioning in an antique mansion? No way! My legs are strong -- throughout my childhood and young adulthood, I rode bicycles a lot and was studied dance non-stop 'til about 2009. All of that athleticism really built up my legs. Oh my goodness, I may have just set myself up for naughty comments. Who gives a hoot?🤣
Thank you, and I'm really glad you enjoyed these scenes. At the last minute on Canada Day, I remembered that I had stored video from my one and only trip (thus far) to Toronto.😊
@@gabrielapaulinho1luv I was pleasantly suprised to see your videos 🙂 2017? As u know Toronto has changed a lot in that short amount of time. Thank you for sharing Gabriela.
@@onceuponacity I didn't want these videos to go to waste. And, yeah, I'm long overdue for another visit. It's just that, I feel as if I've been visiting your wonderful city through the great tours that all of you have presented.😁
Beautiful water footage. I always love filming swans. I love The Beatles music in the background. Here is a little video i made staring a Swan and his cygnet.
Glad that you liked my snippet highlighting a swan on Lake Ontario amidst the Toronto Islands😊 And yeah, I remember listening to the Beatles music playing on the boat's sound system.👍🏼 And hey, I'd love to see your video short of the swan & cygnet, but I don't see a link. Would I find the vid on your channel?🤔 (Thanks) Meanwhile, I'll have a look-see.
