Cruising To St Croix - Fort Frederiksted And Snorkeling  

We met a guy who has been on 57(!!) cruises. He said that was the first time he got sea sick. Those swells were big!!

How was Bimini? We are looking at maybe going there....I heard the snorkeling is incredible. We didn't do the egg drop, but they loved watching it!!

Bimini was very nice around the hotel and nice houses but there was a lot of pressure from the local people to rent golf carts yea only $100 no thank you. The Island is only 7 miles long and if you go to the opposite end of the Island it looks bad to me ? A lot of abandoned houses with the roofs collapsed and the free beach was beautiful and the water is crystal clear but cold. My wife started dragging a beach chair closer to the water and got stopped by the island people that she could rent the chair for $20 ? The shops were nothing more than a roof and very small and the prices were high on everything. If we go back we will stay around the Hilton hotel. If you go to Freetown get the Rum Cake !!!!!! The taxi driver took us to the little shop where they make them and you can buy the hot ! Good!

@@jnova9867 thanks for the tips! Wow, I think a resort or hotel would be better.

We liked it, but it was very hit or miss. We were going to do a review, but because it was so uncertain what we were getting, we decided not to.

Next time shoes will be the first thing on my list!
