I like my diorama textures like i like my cereal - soggy and painful to my sensitive lactose intolerant tummy... Wait no, the opposite of that. Great build m8, turned out gr8
I love your videos and your sense of humor. Someday soon I will find occasion to microwave pva glue for some very convincing (and gross) gore effects. I think you create excellent effects from what seems to be minimal effort. I hope that doesn't sound backhanded; I don't mean to imply you are half-assing anything. Quick and dirty techniques are immensely valuable in a hobby where it's easy to spend 100 hours on a single piece. It's quite satisfying to have a completed thing in your hands (like a cool display box) by the end of a single day or weekend. Thanks for sharing your techniques.
I like the Freddy Kruegar boiler room style to this piece. Something that sets you apart from most other content creators (especially in this genre) is your darker sense of humor and more blunt nature. And you did something I rarely see from anyone when your work is critiqued, you didnt get defensive and you took an honest level of consideration from that. I think my only comment thus far as been that your Necromunda meat grinder didn't have the pizazz I was expecting, and you didn't get defensive in response. I don't look forward to other peoples videos in this genre for their personality and wit, but I do with yours. And to be honest I think most people in this genre play a little to safe and stiff in front of the camera. I genuinely respect and look forward to your work. And the creativity and direction with your work makes me hold mine and others up to a higher caliber of effort.
Nice job, the build came out great. I love the toilet tissue. The cocaine is a bit out of my budget, but I'll save up. I also like the crackle medium and I'll have to check out some of the paints that you used. Excellent!
A mate and I are starting a Underhive themed book nook for him tomorrow. He knows the lore but nothing of crafting, I know of crafting but nothing of lore. Gonna be fun, and this was very inspiring and posted just in time so I can steal some techniques. Cheers Gert! Also, if you want to be fancy, pronounce 'Action' like it was French. I never go to the Action, I always go to 'le Aceteon' (add accent grave & accent aigu to taste)
I made a box like this not long ago. It had a few levels on it like it was factory floors...loads of fun to make. Your sense of humour is just like mine 😂
YT didn't alert me when this dropped...so I'm late to the party but in any case, I agree with the other folks who said its a cracking build all the way 'round. Cheers!
Love this video! I don’t paint miniatures, but I love your creativity and attitude. I have a problem once and a while with fake reviews on my Facebook page
oh man this guy is in rare form on this one hahaha aside from the great comedy that looks super sick like a box that opens up into a fucking nightmare TOOL video.
A couple more great tips from Gert. Love the toilet paper texture idea. I'm always learning something new on your channel. I'm not sure I like the idea about storing all my cocaine in the same Tupperware container though. One sneeze aND you've got a snowstorm in August.. Also, using enough cocaine will make even silk feel like a crunchy texture.... or so I've been told... heheh... ahem... cough... moving on...
Thank you for your amazing videos I love your sence of humor and all you tips and tricks.you sir have inspired me to try many new techniques and to work outside the box.
Welcome back, Man! F%!^& the negativity...your crafting is top notch. Be sure to bring turmeric to the kitchen, it's a necessity for toning down human flesh. Cheers!
I‘m not even into tabletops or minis, but I steal a technique or two for my leathercraft once in a while … and I do have some severed doll heads lying around my workshop now … for future experiments (in a box, so customers won‘t see them). 😉 Greetings from Austria
I'm upset Bob is my Uncle, very not, but he is my Brother, as you see my name is Bob, but it's not my real name as I had a few not nice people tracked me as I'm an ex-serviceman my mistake telling what I did, but that was years ago, in good bad days of RU-vid. Very cool site and keep the great content coming, as I have been modeling really hard since 2009 when I got gravely injured now wheelchair-bound, but I have been a keen modeler for over 47years, I'm in my late 50's. And I have been a big fan of Games Workshop with Fanasty Armies from the late '80s and now into a massive Imperial Guard Battalion Catachan Army with female soldiers and other units from Victoria Miniatures from South Australia. I have amour, all sorts of Vehicles, Aircraft, Artillery and lots of Converted Vehicles from war won off the battlefield which you can use as it's in one of the old Codex, also my Imperial Knights, my super-heavy tanks, and my priced piece is a Titan I brought years ago. I don't game but I love modeling, I own a modest man cave, It's 5meters by 4 meters by 3 meters tall, now I have only room for my wheelchair now, so no more buying but building, people like yourself, you give people like myself the challenge in building stuff will all of my spares boxes. Cheers From DownUnder, Bob{ Peter } NSW, Greater Sydney in lockdown.
@@DarkMatterWorkshop about a week ago my nine year old son asked me why the goose guy hasn’t been posting videos, it took me a few minutes to realise he was talking about you. The goose reference comes from your spray bottle challenge, when you said, “ oh look a goose “ and then chopped it’s head off and created a murder scene. He ran around for weeks after that video saying , “ oh look a goose “ while making a siren sound and laughing like a loon. He will, no doubt, also be stoked to have you back.
@@DarkMatterWorkshop I’m afraid that ship has sailed Gert, but as a good parent I still make sure he says” bleep” so I can pretend I didn’t drop the parenting ball way to early.
P.s. I also discovered how good those diamonds are for rivets. They do a great job. I had left overs from a kit I was given and I’ve been using them ever since 👍🏻
Don't worry, Gert. With "quality" work like that, you will have plenty of hate comments in no time. Have you tried dry-brushing the pumice? Is there enough texture for the dry-brushing to show?
I genuinly love Your works, thay are alway a number one inspiration to my own projects! Where did You get those small Skyrim carracters, by the way? I want some of them too! Ha ha! Honestly i think the one single donkeyhat dislike from whatver drunk guy who did it will only be beneficial for the algoritms.
There will always be negative comments. Like flies to shit. You go across RU-vid and some of the best model builders and painters/weatherers will always have a couple of negative remarks. Some people don't like others doing good. Never fails.
Negative comments come from either immature adults or actual children , the kids we can forgive , they know not what they do ... but the immature adults should know better . 4:35 "sprinkle a little bit cocaine" ... anyway , as I was saying , those immature adults ..... :D
Great little gift with plenty of texture. Btw Gert, Bog-roll and pva technique, I've been using it for 40 yrs or more. If you dilute the pva until the brush stops sticking to the tissue when you apply it, you've got the consistency right, see my own video here... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D7qg1a7dlVs.html
