Love this!!! Can’t express enough of how important it is for a father and son to work together. Currently building an EG for my son’s first car. His dream Honda! He did turn 16 a few months back and the project took a hard left turn and forced us to have to completely rebuild everything due to unexpected findings in the H engine so the build has been pushed back several months. We keep getting set backs but we’re getting close. Been very costly but I think it’s teaching him what this lifestyle looks like. Love your channel. Been a sub for a long time and been a follower for even longer with all the early 2000’s car mags I was sub’d to back in the day. Keep em coming guys! ❤
Glad to see ppl with kids getting ready to drive not go out and get them a brand new car, especially when there is a high likelihood that they will end up crashing it (not to mention, they will appreciate something that they had to pay and work for ). I told my daughter that she needs to get a job, save her money and that I’d help her find and get her one. We settled on a NB Mazda Miata. I found a 00 base with a manual trans with a blown engine. Went and looked at salvage auctions till we found an 04 Miata with 72k and we swapped the whole drivetrain, suspension, fuel system along with the full interior. we took all of the old parts and sold them, not only covering the price of the donor car but also made a few hundred bucks in the process. She learned what it takes to work on a car, how much time and money it takes to fix them and an appreciation of having a car that she helped build. That was three years ago, she still has it, and she still works on it when needed. Pretty happy with the way that turned out, and she has thanked me many of times for not only pushing her, but showing her that with a little work and imagination, you can have something just as nice without having to fork out an arm and a leg for it.
I just wanted to thank you for all of the vehicle content... I have been in a real rut recently & decided to start looking for another older Honda/Acura to restore/fix up.... Out of all of the ones I have owned in my life ( over 25 ) my favorite is S2000, probably followed by CRX. Search isn't going great, hard for me to stomach spending 10k more for an S2000 than I sold my last ( almost mint ) one for.... No CRX's in Virginia area worth looking at, especially rust free. However I continue the daily search, and absolutely love LHT videos, it gives me motivation to continue the search. Hopefully I can find something by the winter time. Thanks again

I just got a new alternator and the power post on the new one was stripped from the shop. Thought the noise was from there but actually it was from the timing belt tensioner. So I obviously pulled out the whole engine and trans, replaced the steering rack. lol
I'm so jelly of your CRX. Quick question? If i remove the oil filter heat baffle on my 8th civic si in order to install an oem s2000 oil filer, should i expect any negative issues? Would there be anything positive effect?
Are oil filter housings metal or aluminum? 🤔 Cause I wonder if it’s worth exploring making the tool with magnet properties, might help with seating. Just an idea
@@joshuam.6404 The are Billet Aluminum. ( Aluminum is a Metal ) They seat pretty nice and have zero slip. After months of daily use we really love them.

@@Just_Jesus_ef I made 308whp And 212tq. That was a B20vtec at 10 to 1 compression. That was beyond the efficiency of the blower and wouldn’t recommend it. 280-290 is realistically the max.
