Halfwit Indian Akaena promises a fictitious treasure to anyone who takes her down south where the sun always shines. Trapper Bill Robinson, an honest fur trader in Alaska, refuses to sell his dog sled to dishonest miner Mike Williams, who steals it at gunpoint. While Akaena proves unable to keep her promise, Mike is shot before he can kill her. His corps is found on Bill's sled, making him the suspect as conniving outlaw gangs arrive in town.

Ron Ely - The 'Adonis' of Hollywood... Most notable for his performance as Tarzan in the 1960's TV serial, but appeared in twelve major films as well as over twice as many TV productions. This West-German production was released in 1972 and filmed on location in the Austrian Tyrol. It appears that the voice of Ely's character - Bill Robinson - was overdubbed.; I recall from Tarzan and other production's Ely's voice being of lower cadence; all other characters were overdubbed from the original German. Ely has been no stranger to tragedy in his personal life, but is still alive at 85 enjoying his retirement.

Good to hear that Ely is still around I recall he used to in to health food and was he best tarzan I ever saw on tv, did all the stunts himself.

Yeah I've seen him play many episodes of Tarzan always Played sympathetic characters in different movies . I don't I didn't know he was living I thought I'm much older than that. Thanks for the information
