Well, I don't if I post this is proper.But I still want to say it. This game is based on a historical and political tragedy. In 1947, ROC's government started the martial law era. If someone spread the thought of freedom, being a member of communist party, listening to music, read the book that the government banned. He or she would be caught and put in jail or be killed. Funny if someone didn't do the things above but be reported he or she had done one of those things, he or she would be caught or killed, too. It lasted until 1987 it ended. However, some people in Taiwan still thank those who miss-killed or miss-caught other. This is the game want to tell us, remember the tragedy and make a better future. I love all the traditional Chinese culture references regarding the ghosts! We give food offerings to the ghosts so that they can eat. But since things have two sides (yin and yang), the ghost only eats the food's yin because they are purely only yin. You hold your breath because humans are a mix of yin and yang, and when you breathe out the ghosts can smell the yang in you and attack. If you hold your breath they cannot smell it and therefore disregard you.

There are some places in Asia where leaving your chopsticks upright in your food is considered to have really bad fortune. Then I started laughing, "This is why this all is happening to them, they didn't rest their chopsticks sideways on their bowl." at my own joke. But seriously, it is considered disrespectful to leave your chopsticks like that.

But not that scary XD (Btw, the story background is in 1960, the white terror in Taiwan. Just in case if you have some questions about this game.) Hope you like this game too!! 😊

I watched the whole video with one headphone off for both protection from jumpscares and so I wouldn't freak out on whoever enters the room. didn't work for the jumpscare part. Why do I watch horror games? WHY do I want to see the next episode?? wHy dO I hate myself

As someone who studied in a Chinese school, I can confirm that this game really nails what the interior looks like. Even the uniform looks true to life.

to anyone looking for jumpscares, this game is basically Taiwanese version of Corpse Party there's not much in this, except the flashy images in 20:13, the just-picture-no-sound phone jumpscare, and the mirror one hope this helps

So I've already watched a full playthrough and from what I can gather is that some things refer to punishments. E.g. Wei hanging upside down was how he was tortured because of parttaking in the illegal book club, and the dice turning into teeth mean that the way gamblers were punished was by pulling out their teeth

omg i am so happy that you played this game!! i guess some people may not understand about this game, but i think it's mainly talking about the history about Taiwan, about "White Terror". it 's a very special time to taiwan. if you're interesting, you can google it :) they did a excellent job in their design and art, the "monsters" or the "creatures" in this game are all real legends in taiwan. i hope you can finish this game. it's short but i hope you can enjoy it

cry have you looked into a game called oxenfree? ive been wanting someone to play it since it came out (oddly enough exactly a year ago) and recently jack starting playing it. i dont normally watch him but he was the only one ive seen make a real series of it so i checked it out, and in it he mentioned that youtubers were trying to make series of it but its hard to talk over the games characters. i hadnt considered that, but i figured you wouldnt have much of an issue with that, and this game reminded me of it in some ways. i feel like you would enjoy it
