Concerning the "bad bread" that supposedly caused the Salem Witch Trials, it may have been due to the growth of the ergot fungus, which is known to contain high concentrations of certain alkaloids including ergotamine (yes, one of the chemicals you can acquire in this game). Ergotamine bears structural similarities to certain neurotransmitters, and can also stimulate the constriction of blood vessels, which in high enough concentrations would cause unpleasant symptoms in the brain, potentially causing hallucinations and convulsions along with stimulating irrational behaviours. However, it is supposed to not survive too long in stomach acid, which is one of the marks against the ergotism theory surrounding the Witch Trials. Though I can still see the other aspects that point towards a potential ergotism epidemic afflicting the town. With all of that in mind, it is still used as a treatment for migraine to this day. In fact, the medication Cafergot contains both caffeine, which is also a vasoconstrictor, and ergotamine tartrate, and is itself a medication for combating migraine. Also, concerning William Marshall, he was knighted in 1166 and died in May of 1219. If Lord Redgrave were alive during that time, that would put him at the age of roughly 700 years at the eldest. How old he actually is, however, would be roughly in the ballpark of "buggered if I know, squire".

His eyes are bloodshot because you nommed on that one guy's neck. If you didn't do it, Reid would look normal. Also if you nom on a LOT of people, he's going to have bright red, cat-like pupils :D

also here is a bit of information about Jonathan's eyes during the game. for both cry and other people. firstly it is NOT a bug cry fed off one or more people in the game so this happened, it is normal. when you make.choices to 'embrace' people Jonathan's appearance can and will change into something more Ghoulish. If Jonathan doesn't embrace anyone his eyes remain blue and normal, if Jonathan embraces one or a few people his eyes will become bloodshot as his eyes are now for you cry, and if Jonathan embraces ALOT of people his eyes become red and his scalara black. the game devs even mentioned this at some point so do not worry cry and others it is definitely not a bug, it's normal!!! so pick your choices wisely as it affects appearances to!

Okay so the eyes thing, I've heard two things about them, one thing is that they change from the normal white to red once you "EMBRACE" or kill someone that you didn't need to kill, another theory I heard is that the eye color changes depending on what ending you are going to get, ranging from the normal white for the best ending to black which is the worst ending.

That ending. It's just making me want to watch his VtM playthrough for the like 25th time.

That music when ever you talk with Lady Ashbury just adds such good ambiance.

Aw, I love the outro song! It makes me super nostalgic...you introduced me to it like 4 years ago. I am having trouble remembering what video, though. Edit: well shoot. it was vampire: the masquerades bloodlines! How fitting. I have watched that series so many times over in these last 4 years...it's like my go-to if I don't have anything to watch.

As for the vidja game plot: Technically, someone from the Ascalon Club could still be Jonathan's sire (I refuse to use "Maker", cuz that's a Dragon Age reference). The Club could simply have been waiting for Jonathan to prove that he's strong enough, hence the late invite. And since they know the epidemic is the main trigger for Priwen's Great Hunt, the Club has been watching Jonathan ever since he had risen to fame as a surgeon. Alternatively, some other powerful old vampire could be Jonathan's sire. In which case, the Club could be using Jonathan for their schemes and using Jonathan to keep tabs on his sire. #cuzvampires #cuzwhynot

Cry shall now forever be known as "Big Daddy Blood." Congrats, now yer gonna get all the hot vampire ladies! Something that I will say this game does right in regards to the combat is the fact the rando vampies use your abilities. It always bugs me when enemies have abilities you arbitrarily cannot acquire even when you are more powerful than them. Vampyr, despite it's otherwise meh combat, does that well. As far as I can tell, they use the same abilities you can use. (PS, I don't think you can get that one vamp's awesome blood-steal ability because you chose the opposite upgrade path.) I've always thought the Ascalon Club being sexist is really stupid, ever since I first saw that dialogue in another video. Seriously, though. These guys are Immortal! They've lived for centuries! You'd think they'd drop such mundane attitudes. I know I for one wouldn't give a damn if said vampire was a woman or not when they can *LITERALLY EXPLODE MY BLOOD.* That may be the point, though. Being sexist gives them an excuse to deny more powerful vampires from joining them. After all, the more powerful vampires they recognize, the less powerful they are in return...Maybe that's the real reason. :U

Wow, so Johnny boy here is essentially Vampire nobility. At least he has that going for him.

Willia, Marshal or William the marshal was a medieval knight from the 12th century who served under 5 kings through his life. Making the lord ash bury talks of about 700 years old or more. He is ancestor to all monarchs from Henry the 8th and therefore the vampire lord is related to the throne (king george) at this time
